I just started it and I guess that can be a sign for wishing for bew beginings (post-pandemic) and the sound of birds and nature calm our minds in these difficult times
This really is a fantastic short but informative video of raising owlets to sub adults! Besides the filming, loved how the captions were added to tell the story! I think the little owlets seem to have a permanent smile on their faces! What beautiful miracles of nature! Thank you for sharing, we appreciate you!
I love barred owls. They’re my favorite bird, I have a family of barred owls that occasionally fly over my house and sit in the trees at night. I think their call is so unique and pretty
It was amazing to watch from birth to Fledging! It's an awesome way to learn about owls and hope one returns to the nest to start a family of their own 🦉
I love the barred owl call and have been enjoying the sounds for many years. It was awsome seeing chicks and watch them grow. Am even a bigger owl fan now! Thanks
Thank you for this video, its great! 2017 was the first year I watched the Barred Owl cam. Never knew about Barred Owls till I discovered this cam. Learned so much and I missed the owls when they all left the nest. Hope Millet, Sunflower and Peanut are doing well.
I have 4 nesting pairs in my area....They can be very vocal in the early hours. I get woken up often ,but I love hearing them....When my family and friends come to visit they are all amazed at the vocalisation of these owls....
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful insight on the barred owl and the babies. We truly appreciate it. We have one on our property and just adore it and learned so much today.
Thanks for the highlights from last year. I remember every moment. My days revolved around watching these owls, and I can't wait to see if there are more this year. Sure hope so!!
Incredible! I am so happy that I found this video because current "nest" is still "very young" and the view is most of the time blocked by Mama who looks like one of my cats. It is incredible to see how fast they grow!!!!!!!!I really love that : hu-hu, hu=huuuuuuu :-) Thank you very much for making it possible for people like me to watch :-)
Wow, thank you! We have, we think, a female barred owl and maybe a juvenile at our country home this year. We love listening to them. They must love the small forest we live in. We have named her Orpha, after Biblical Ruth's daughter-in-law. We think her nest is/was in a cavity in a tall red cedar near our house.
It is April, 2021. I just saw this video, for the first time. It was so cool, how, whoever made it possible, to watch, all of what happened. Thank you. ❤
Though early on, a mama barred owl grabbed one of my purple martins out of its gourd, but we fixed that by building a cage around it. Again, the mama attacked one of our young squirrels really tore him up (he survived). But watching this incredible video is just so moving. I shouldn't take sides watching wildlife.
Hello From Florida we just moved here six mo. Ago and i have been told by my neighbors we have owls thier in thier mating season right now and i could see them flying around and i hear them quiet often im in the process of ordering a box to put up and maybe if im lucky i mivht get a picture...thanks for the video
You can see how much more successfull a species is when both parents are involved . Especially if one is there most often keeping the young safe from predators

The parents mate for life and will use the same nest ....as they use it over winter to keep out of the nasty weather.
