This really is a fantastic short but informative video of raising owlets to sub adults! Besides the filming, loved how the captions were added to tell the story! I think the little owlets seem to have a permanent smile on their faces! What beautiful miracles of nature! Thank you for sharing, we appreciate you!

I love barred owls. They’re my favorite bird, I have a family of barred owls that occasionally fly over my house and sit in the trees at night. I think their call is so unique and pretty

It was amazing to watch from birth to Fledging! It's an awesome way to learn about owls and hope one returns to the nest to start a family of their own 🦉

The parents mate for life and will use the same nest ....as they use it over winter to keep out of the nasty weather.

Wow, thank you! We have, we think, a female barred owl and maybe a juvenile at our country home this year. We love listening to them. They must love the small forest we live in. We have named her Orpha, after Biblical Ruth's daughter-in-law. We think her nest is/was in a cavity in a tall red cedar near our house.

Though early on, a mama barred owl grabbed one of my purple martins out of its gourd, but we fixed that by building a cage around it. Again, the mama attacked one of our young squirrels really tore him up (he survived). But watching this incredible video is just so moving. I shouldn't take sides watching wildlife.
