Another possibly easier way would be to drill a hole from top to bottom and put a screwdriver through the hole and rotate. Thanks for the video

Same issue last week, I’d say, you can always trust wd40 and a rubber wrench, fixed nicely, threads still work on both sides sunshade and scope, Just a bit of paint off the threads in the sunshade
