It's kinda nice to know that Naruto understands the reasons Sasuke had to leave the village. Naruto doesn't approve Sasuke's decision, but he knows the weight Sasuke was carrying.

@Olena Strizhak you have to watch the flash backs of orochimaru, they show you his backstory when he was training with third hokage, tsunade & jiraiya. Then during his flashbacks you find out why he turned on the leaf village
In part 2 it he explains he was unhappy with the choice of Minato being named fourth instead of him. I think it's a little much to attack the village but hey, this IS Orochimaru were talking about lol.

The Uchiha clan planned a coup after being mistreated by the village and its elders ever since the reign of the First Hokage but tensions heightened after they were being suspected of the Nine Tails attack. Itachi was loyal to the Leaf village and killed them all to prevent the coup, leaving his beloved brother Sasuke as the only survivor. That took less than a minute.
That moment when Boruto wants to comfort his father, but has to hold back to avoid blowing his cover. I hope he gives his dad the biggest hug when he gets home.

We learn here that Naruto knew more about what was happening to Sasuke that he let on in his series. Naruto never really acknowledged the reasons why Sasuke was gone, it's nice to see that he not only knows that Sasuke left for power and because of his family, but that it hurt him just as much as leaving regardless of the reasons. Beautiful arc.

I’m assuming you’re talking about after the war because then that’ll make sense with sasuke being friendly, but if you’re talking about after sasuke left then there’s noway they could’ve predicted the outcome of their anime, for one it would’ve had to be a certain outcome if they did that regardless of what they want to do so that limits their options for what they can and cannot do. So I think this is fine but they need to give sasuke his damn fking chakra back cuz it’s getting Tedious watching the mf get hit w shit shippuden sasuke would’ve dodged or pulled out the susanoo for, I understand it’s all for plot but they could’ve done it better.
Can you imagine an episode like this being released in the early 2000's and we watched it from Naruto's perspective instead of Boruto's? The theories surrounding that episode would be insane until viewers find out the truth nearly 20 years later.

@@MoheekMagic Nah Naruto comes off to me as not wanting to share much because he doesn't want to cause others pain, or have them bear burdens from the past. The whole narrative from the last series was that pain will never go away because everyone has someone in their life they love who has been hurt, and that will make you want to avenge them and thus continue the cycle of pain. This may just be a way for them to try to sever all the lingering grudges from history. They can't want revenge if they don't know about the injustices from the past.
Additionally, they may not be teaching about the Uchihas to avoid prejudice against them. Having experienced that himself as a child, this is something Naruto would be all for.

Everyone talking about Sasuke but does anyone else see Boruto’s weird body language in this episode? Like in one part he back up facing naruto instead of turning around and in this clip he almost touched naruto but it looks like he remembered the scratch. It’s going to be pretty interesting when Boruto goes back to the present

Boruto was left wondering why Sasuke relied on Orochimaru because Naruto didn't mention a key detail. That Konoha proved to be too incompetent to apprehend Itachi. Whom like Orochimaru, proved to be superior to Konoha.
Both being former Konoha ninja. S-Class internationally wanted criminals. Who after years of being rogue, infiltrated and escaped again with no one being able to stop them. Orochimaru nearly destroying the village. Killing the Hokage in the process. And Itachi whipping a couple of their top Jonin, one being Kakashi. Then escaping from Jiraiya - their current strongest shinobi.
Kakashi was easily beaten. Said Kakashi whose training wasn't good enough for Sasuke to defeat Shukaku Gaara, Itachi, and Orochimaru's Curse Mark wielding subordinates. Said Curse Mark Kakashi advised Sasuke not to rely on. Said Curse Mark Orochimaru granted him for a big power boost. Willing to aid him in his revenge. Revenge that after the Itachi incident and clash with Naruto, Kakashi wanted Sasuke to forget about. Revenge the Sound ninja reminded Sasuke that Orochimaru could help him with. Unlike Konoha.
As a result, Sasuke severed his ties to focus solely on achieving his goal with a better option.
Too bad he didn't stick around a while longer to see Kakashi re-awaken the Mangekyou somehow and learn about Jiraiya's Sage Mode. I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time, though.
I like how Boruto sees how troubled and lonely Naruto’s early life was.

The Best thing about Boruto are the moments we got to see Naruto and Sasuke.
This whole thing took me back,watching Naruto when it first aired,dont know why but this music reminded me of the hardship the land of waves went through and how Naruto help them and saved many.. A quote from zabuza,your words cut deep deeper than any blade. This was cool to show what the original Naruto generation went through at a young age.

I really enjoyed this episode, I felt they did a pretty good job with Naruto and Boruto bonding and the Sasuke and Jiraiya confrontation which was pretty cool to see.
Another one of Urashiki's abilities came to light when he revealed he can see into the future which makes him that much more troublesome. I think they're going to need Boruto's Jougan to come in clutch with Naruto and Boruto's new rasengan they're going to use in order to defeat Urashiki once and for all. Hopefully Boruto will get another karma seal when he kills Urashiki this time in their rematch. I thought it was pretty cool how it showed BASE Boruto reacting to Urashiki's fishing rod when he casually saved Naruto from getting hit by it. That just shows you how strong Boruto really is. I thought they did a great job at adding that detail.
Overall this was a really entertaining episode so I give it a 9/10.

Boruto only has one karma in the manga so I don't think he'll kill Urashiki. Tbh I haven't even seen urashiki in the manga once, even though the manga is farther than the anime. The anime is really confusion atm so I'll stick to the manga

Literally the only reason why I watch Boroto for the og Shippuden... the story has turned from a powerful ninja anime to a btec ninja comedy they might as well add the laugh track(audience) from big bang theory.
Would have been more impactful if naruto told boruto, itachi killed everybody. Then boruto would also have a better time relating this via him and his little sister great relationship
