As far as the live action stuff goes, this would be the next logical watch & this show is a great supplement to the prequel trilogy and adds a surprising amount of new perspectives when watching the original trilogy afterwards.
There you go! Met Luke... Well, sort of. I'm so glad you're doing this series now, even if you're not aware of the Inquisitors. If you choose to do the animated series, you'll meet them in Rebels. I hope you do decide to do both the Clone Wars and Rebels because there's a ton of lore to be learned from them, but it's a huge commitment... Which will be avidly viewed by all of us... So give it some thought because it means you won't get to see the original trilogy for some time. There's still Solo and Rogue One to see as well! Thanks for a great reaction. Your fresh eyes and insightful questions are delightful!
yeah I think its a good direction to go. You might as well also watch rouge one before the original trilogy as well. After all that though I highly suggest you watch The Clone Wars and Rebels animated shows even if you don't do reactions of them.
You’re literally the first person I’ve encountered to watch Kenobi in timeline order, without knowing what happens next. I’m very interested to see your perspective on the original trilogy after watching Kenobi and Rogue One first. You don’t know who will live through the series. Or who will die. That’s going to add a lot of tension and enjoyment for you. Any thoughts on watching other pre original trilogy stories? Like Solo or Rebels? Solo is a fun movie. There’s a lot of good in it. The deck was stacked against the film since the beginning. If you don’t watch Solo, you’re not missing too much, I will admit. Plus Rebels is a seasons long show. Worth watching for the sheer amount of the Empire in it. Rebels gives a great ground level look at the Empire. We can see more of what it’s like for average people to be living as citizens of the Empire. Now that I think of it, there’s some decent world building in Solo as well. You can miss the plot of the movie. That’s not too essential, but it does provide some decent context. The performances are good. The effects are excellent, and I had a lot of fun watching the movie. Rebels is basically fantastic television. Period. Same for Clone Wars for that matter. Every single Jedi who died in Order 66 on screen in Episode 3 got stories and showcases in the Clone Wars. The first time I watched RotS since finishing Clone Wars, I sobbed way way harder at Order 66. Not only did I learn each Jedi’s name, I knew the biggest victims of the whole scene were the clones themselves. Clone Wars does a phenomenal job humanizing the Clone Troopers. I know many of their names too. The Clones love and revere their Jedi generals. They’ve spent an entire war together in the trenches. They would never willingly betray the Jedi. Not without reason. Clone Wars will eventually explain why they ended up doing exactly that. It’s heartbreaking on every level.
@@linusklaus bruh by that time the residual feeling from the prequels will have worn off. I think she should watch Kenobi and go into rogue one then the OT, as that gives a perfect flow of the story of obi wan and anakin

13:07 the inquisitor project is in hands of emperor Palpatine himself. He and Vader started training inquisitors after the Order 66, to hunt down every surviving Jedi or children that are Force-sensitive. None of them is true Sith, so none of them has the right to the title "Darth".
I think you’re the only reactor I have seen that has watched the movies in timeline order and in time for Kenobi. What a great time to start watching Star Wars!! I loved this series and none of us were expecting a young Leia❤️. lol king forward to your next reaction!
Hayden Christensen (the actor of Anakin) was gettin' really HUGE hate when the prequels were released. He was even nominated to the "Golden Raspberry award" 😔 Then he moved from the Holywood for a long time until he said like 2 years ago he will return as Anakin to this show ❤️ Seeing him as a Vader again after like 20 years was absolutely fantastic
Really enjoying your reactions and you're so lucky, many of us had to wait 17 years btw Revenge of the Sith and this show. Super jelly of new Star Wars fans who get to watch everything in timeline order 😭😄
Inquisitors are former jedi who fell to the darkside but aren't sith but people who use the darkside to hunt down any jedi to capture or execute them, or any force user that the emperor sees as a threat or someone to use for his own plans.
The fundamental problem with living on an idyllic technological paradise like Alderaan (Leia's planet) is that there's so little crime and violence that none of the guards ever get to see any real action, which means they're all kind of soft. The baddies, the evil Jedi, are "Inquisitors." They work directly for Darth Vader and were the agents he used to wipe out the Jedi who survived Order 66. This isn't really explained in this series, but rather in the cartoon series "Rebels." Also, 'lil Leia is one of the best characters in all of Star Wars. She's almost better than grown up Leia in the Original Trilogy, though only half as sassy.
Ehh, in the show they couldn't really make up if they wanted her to be a hyper intelligent sassy individual or an ignorant child. She switches a lot between the 2 and it feels a bit to inconsistent. It feels like they want her to be smart but then make her ignorant to be able to advance the plot. Also not that much of a fan of Leia and obi wan meeting before ANH. I think this show would've worked way better with a few tweaks as a Cal Kestis show.
So no one knows that Anakin lived except Palpatine and maybe a couple other people. The whole galaxy thought Anakin died during Order 66. Vader was also kept secret and some people didn’t know who he was
1. I'm super jealous how much star wars content you've been able to watch, what a time to be a new fan! 2. It's awesome how invested and excited you are about the IP. Rock on!
Little easter egg about Lola, when Carrie Fisher (princess Leia) was a little girl she had a pet bird that she named Lola, that's why they gave little Leia a droid with the same name, out of respect for Carrie Fisher.

Really happy that you're watching Kenobi after the prequels. I'm not a big fan of Disney Star Wars but this series was overall pretty good in my opinion, although it clearly has some weak spots.
I've said this before....but my goodness I am VERY interested in your Star Wars adventure & the way you're watching it. You get to meet Leia at 10 while everyone else usually meets her at 19-ish. FASCINATING!!! I'm sure you'll really enjoy & love Leia like we all do.
inquisitors are lesser dark side users. They mostly are trained in lightsaber combat with just enough force knowledge to get by. Against a trained jedi knight or master most of them would be no match, so their main purpose is to hunt down weaker jedi survivors like partially trained padawans or younglings while assisting vader in tracking down stronger ones.
This is amazing, I loved seeing your reactions to the prequels. Now watching obi wan next. You may be the first reactor to have never seen star wars and watch in timeline order.

Bail Organa: "What about your duty to his sister?!" What Obi-Wan should've said: "That was your fucking job, bro! You're a fucking galactic senator! I live in a fucking cave!"
Like other people have said, this is a series that's barely a couple days past its last episode. I think you're actually the first reactor on the planet to watch this show in chronological order without knowing what happens afterwards. There's obviously good and bad to that. The tension is obviously increased. And most of the references here are from the prequels anyway. Star Wars has always been careful to make sure new fans can watch chronologically without missing anything important because the show was made after the original trilogy or something like that. But at the same time, this show was made with the majority of people who have already seen the OT in mind, and so there are a few things that won't hit the same way, even if they don't affect anything storywise. Seeing OT characters as children won't hit the same way, so you'll wonder why the show focuses in on strange people that you've never seen before. The OT soundtrack won't be in your memory, so when they play the Leia theme, or the Imperial March, or the Force theme, there's not the instant connotation that there would be otherwise. But these are all small things. I look forward to seeing this new perspective on the series.
If you think that you're getting references to star wars now, wait until you watch the original trilogy which came out in 1977 (episode 4), 1980 (episode 5), and 1983 (episode 6) respectively
Ok i know this is a spoiler but there is a reason why obi wan calls him self ben it's because it was a name given to him by a lover of his in the clone wars cartoon sorry if i spoiled it🥺
At this point, the Jedi have gone into hiding. I don't feel like I'm giving away any spoilers by saying this because it's not really explained that well in the canon...there are like a couple of throw away lines that hint at this. But Yoda went to a planet that was over-run with Dark Side energy just so it would mask his Jedi energy. But as you've seen...it really is hard for a Jedi to stay hidden. Eventually their urge to set things right will overcome them. And that is typically the Jedi's downfall during this period of the Empire. BTW, a little more lore just because I know you were curious. A Sith makes their red saber by forcing so much hate into a Jedi's "Kyber Crystal" (a Jedi they have killed) that it cracks and starts to "bleed" which is how it gets the red color.
After you finish kenobi and the remaining films Highley recommend watching watching the clone wars series really great but I also recommend watching in chronological order instead of realise because it will a little confusing for someone who hasn't watching because the episodes like jump around u can find lists online on the order to watch them
@Sapphire Hazel What led you to believe that? The only person that would've told him would be Obi-wan, whom believes Anakin is dead and may not even know Vader exists at this point. Only a select handful of people ever knew Vader was Anakin, even by the end of the saga.
@Sapphire Hazel I can see why you might think that conversation indicates knowledge of Vader's identity, but that statement remains true in referencing Anakin as a Jedi given Owen's disdain for the Jedi.
Watching in chronological order, you'll miss nothing watching Obi Wan right after the prequels... actually, it will be really interesting to see your reaction to episode IV in a few weeks (maybe ?) But (friendly advice), you should watch Clone Wars and Rebels before the Mandalorian to fully understand what happens and who are the different characters. About this serie, young Leia steals the show, the young actress is great and is very accurate with the older Leia you'll discover in the OT. Have fun as you discover more and more the SW universe.
Since I'm posting this commentlong after you've already watched the original trilogy, I will not be posting a spoiler. It never occurred to me until you mentioned something, Emme. You wondered if any remaining Jedi knew where the others were. It got me wondering how Obi-Wan knew where Yoda was. He mentioned in episode V that Luke should go to the Dagobah system to find him. One theory I have is that Obi-Wan, as a Force-ghost, was now able to communicate with other Force-sensitive beings. Another is that he somehow found out while he was still alive, but kept the information secret until revealing it to Luke.
I don't know if you're taking recommendations for shows to react to in the future but if you are I hope you consider The Expanse. but in the meantime I'm enjoying your star wars journey
The Solo film actually takes place before Kenobi The timeline uses the battle at the end of Star Wars as year O or B.Y. Phantom Menace is 32 BBY Attack of the Clones is 22 BBY Revenge of the Sith is 19 BBY Solo is 10 BBY Obi-Wan Kenobi is 9 BBY Rogue One is 0 BBY A New Hope ends at the Battle of Yavin Empire Strikes Back is 3 ABY Return of the Jedi is 4 ABY The Book of Boba Fett is 4-9 ABY The Mandalorian is 9 ABY. Although not seeing Solo in timeline order is no big loss since it insults Lando by forcing his character to check some weird sexuality box that he never did in his previous appearances. And the film diminishes the bond between Han and Chewie. Its more of a Buddy Buddy relationship. But in A New Hope Chewie owes his life to Han and made a life long commitment to stay by his side.
Fun fact The inquisitors is not a Siths, they are Forceusers, who used the dark side and was trained by Vader to hunt the remaining Jedis, but the was not part of the Sith order and not follow the Sith code and use all Sith's powers
If I where you i would watch 2 at the same time because it was originally supposed to be a movie and it feels more like a movie if you do that. Just a suggestion
I personally don't like the direction this series takes and think it would be better if you moved straight on to 4,5, and 6 to get the essence of the series. But that's just my opinion
Strong disagree with your opinion. I enjoyed the journey Ben takes in the show. I loved seeing him reconnect with himself and the Force. Not to mention little Leia. She’s exactly what I’d expect from the Princess as a child.
@@michaelpapp5518 Yeah the actings good (casting for young Leia was REALLY good) but I feel that the plot had nothing to really offer that hasn't been already covered (spoilers): "Obi-Wan is sad!" (we literally saw that in ROTS and ANH) "Vader and Obi-Wan are gonna have a rematch! Awww yeaaah!" (Already saw that in ANH) "Obi-Wan must protect Luke!" (He's been successfully doing that from ROTS to his own death and beyond in the originals. He literally fails in this series) The series also messes up canon with how Qui-Gon is able to appear as a literal Force ghost. I find the environments pretty bland too. The final duel between Kenobi and Vader takes place in the most aesthetically forgettable environment ever. Still a better show than Book of Boba Fett or Slippin Jimmy.
@@onemoreminute0543 I liked seeing Obi-wan deal with trauma. Made him seem more human and relatable. We didn’t really see Obi-Wan live in the time of the Empire. We only saw the start and end. Lots of time in between to tell stories. I liked the direction a lot, personally.
@@michaelpapp5518 Yeah it's interesting to see that period where he's living in the time of the Empire but it didn't really do anything to progress his character

Fun fact
The inquisitors is not a Siths, they are Forceusers, who used the dark side and was trained by Vader to hunt the remaining Jedis, but the was not part of the Sith order and not follow the Sith code and use all Sith's powers
I'm not too up on the star wars lore. Is the 3rd sister the woman from Fallen Order
If I where you i would watch 2 at the same time because it was originally supposed to be a movie and it feels more like a movie if you do that. Just a suggestion
I'm not a fan of watching the Star Wars films & shows in chronological order. But at least that saves the worst for last. ;)
I really really hope you get to star wars the clone wars
The fan movie cut is better
I think you skipped Solo
Watch the clone wars series
Star Wars rebels continúe time líne
I personally don't like the direction this series takes and think it would be better if you moved straight on to 4,5, and 6 to get the essence of the series. But that's just my opinion
Strong disagree with your opinion. I enjoyed the journey Ben takes in the show. I loved seeing him reconnect with himself and the Force.
Not to mention little Leia. She’s exactly what I’d expect from the Princess as a child.
I also don't like the direction. She will be very emotional on the 6th episode but everything before it is just mess
@@michaelpapp5518 Yeah the actings good (casting for young Leia was REALLY good) but I feel that the plot had nothing to really offer that hasn't been already covered (spoilers):
"Obi-Wan is sad!" (we literally saw that in ROTS and ANH)
"Vader and Obi-Wan are gonna have a rematch! Awww yeaaah!" (Already saw that in ANH)
"Obi-Wan must protect Luke!" (He's been successfully doing that from ROTS to his own death and beyond in the originals. He literally fails in this series)
The series also messes up canon with how Qui-Gon is able to appear as a literal Force ghost.
