I loved ALL of this. The Southern Dancers showed dignity in their performance. They showed just how talented they really were!! I was so pleased to see their classy dance and not vulgar pole dancing. Wow Wow Wow I'm so impressed.
These young ladies are consistent at being the best collegiate dance line
Along with the JSU jasettes and that’s no cap. I’m a fan of neither but give credit where it’s due.

@@thepsi1919Yeah they are..They continue portraying the dance look of living dolls in which they're founded on..hand movements and everything..Other HBCU dancers are great but are drill dancers as usual..

Putting Soija Cameron upfront at the start of the video with those breathtaking turns and leaps gave me goosebumps.. She is like Arielle on steroids and she's got those long beautiful lines. I know Tracy is in awe of this danceline. I can only imagine the bar will be raised even higher for the next set of crabs in 2024.
Not on steroids .. she’ has good technique .Arielle has had great training the Ailey school , monsters of hip hop she is a studio kid well trained in all styles. And is a Grest choreographer….. the most technically strongest Doll I’ve seen since I’ve been a Doll Fan since 2009… But she is good and love the long lines
@@jmorg044Soija is great actually!! SHE IS THE TECHNIQUE DOLL!! Absolutely amazing and do you know where or how she was trained? None of that matters bc she’s doing exactly what needs to be done.. Excelling in the fields AND THE STANDS
@jmorg044 The primary distinction between Soija and Arielle is their height. Soija has been steadily gaining confidence, and her presence on the field has become captivating.
I think khaliyah would've tore the tail spot up and would've been just as great as soija. They are all talented theres no need to compare or put them against each other. Kyre is using her girls to benefit the whole period...
I see the dolls trending towards a taller and more technical team. With dolls to feature resemblance to DT and TPG. Wait and see!

Show was boring until fantasia came on I thought was gon see more this game… the performances were great all season
Grambling was the host team so therefore; SU had less time and you have to consider they did a presentation with Fantasia's husband and the young men. So TV time is strict. Grambling has more time as home team!

In that case, screw all the sideshow bob acts, would have loved to seen southern do one of those crazy drills they do, or maybe form the halftime score and leave us wondering like wow, how do they do that. Halftime is about the bands. JSU likes to do that crap too. They will have those FRAT goons run onto the field and kill time or maybe some local fat azz will run to the 50 yard line and kill time. 😂

She is singing over the band because she needs to be heard. Many ragtime and blues singers like Ma Rainey and others had to do this because there were no amplifiers in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries to help them to be heard at all. Fantasia did a good of doing this.

Kyre is going on 5 years also(her freshman year she didn't make it or she would've been with Lin and Ari. So again who paying for all this extra tuition ?????

@@Ann-vv8hl Let that fan enjoy what she/he saw. I started going when I was in elementary school and went to SU lab when Dr. Freeman was band director when it was played at Grambling or Southern Stadium and went to the first one in New Orleans. They all have been good shows!!!!

The band was awesome and the majorettes were dynamic!!! Fantasia accompanied by the band, weren't in sync, sounded like she was singing one thing while they were playing something else. There were just too many over powering instruments for one voice, 1 bass and 3 trombones would have been enough.
@reckyNcarol The Drum Majors are super important! They should've had you react to Drum Major entrances. That is the 🔥 of ghe show!
That silent count was fire 🔥 at 3:29. Might go over people’s head but that took work to have everybody on one accord without music and I caught that!! 💯

Gotta be honest.... yall gone be mad.... this was the worst bayou classic performance I've seen from Southern, from the musical selection on down....where was the drill??? Yall walked on the field, made a few letters, had some boring speech and,yall could have picked something else for Fantasia to sing.... who comes up with this? Where is the "Wow" factor that Southern is known for....yall be worried about commercializing instead of MARCHING!!! that is what Set Southern apart from the rest and gained them such notoriety, their drilling!!! I'm disappointed....
This Director has gotten them soft and boring.
