Buendia played like a man with a weight off his back hope he can stay at this level
And hope his teammates can appreciate his level sometimes the teammates also matter
I've accused him of being lightweight before, but the way he rode the challenge of the first goal would suggest otherwise
Fascinating to see what good coaching can achieve. Watkins, Almiron, Buendia, Joelinton, and Mings have all benefitted and the result is a more interesting Premier League.
Was at the game very happy as a big premier league fan and villa fan in the US I felt like I was actually watching the premier league they made the environment great

2-0 against Newcastle's top 11 was a great sign. Poor goals to concede but good to get those early errors out. To have Kellyman, Young, Revan, JPB, Archer, all contributing and being on the pitch at the same time against quality opposition is very encouraging. UTV!

@@jakehill2603that was a good team Newcastle put out in the first half don’t even be a wierdo an deny it. Maybe two defenders and Anderson but we played Lucas digne and philogene also who aren’t in our starting 11. Plus Ramsey out so don’t give it all that.!
our first team is prolly 50% of the players that started each half. We tried a new formation with 3 at the back and we looked clueless, we tried to press but we left the entire middle of the park free. When villa played from the back they just passed it right down the middle giving their playmaker with plently of space. Even if tonali seems like a speed merchant he cant cover the entire middle of the park. Im sure EH will sort that out but at the end of the day its pre season so noone knows how well a fully fit squad we will be once the first game starts. Both teams have ample talent attacking wise.

It just seems like there’s always an excuse from somebody in a comment section somewhere, can’t say it for what it really was, I mean I know you beat us 4-0 I could say “yeah but we downed tools under gerrard” but I don’t. I accept it for what it is, all I heard was excuses from your fans when we beat you 3-0. I dunno why people can’t just accept it’s all about the dog on the day, if you went 2-0 up in the first ten agasint us I’m sure the new formation talk wouldn’t even get mentioned is all I’m saying… every team is experimenting and using second choice or young players in these friendlies… 🤷🏻♂️

We're not making excuses, we're just correcting something that is clearly wrong. You then go onto to say you don't watch us that much so you wouldn't know. So, accept you were wrong. However, I think you're gonna' have a brilliant season, and I hope you do. I am happy with our squad, and take that it was a pre-season friendly where both sides will learn from it, and get minutes into legs. Just remember where both our clubs were a few years ago, enjoy the ride as we are. Peace out!!
@@toonman1892 I think your mistaking my comments with someone else bud, it wasn’t me that said it was your first 11 or thst I don’t watch Newcastle much it was someone else, I started that minus 2 defenders and Anderson it was a starting 11 (then I remembered no pope so that’s fair enough) i said this on the comment that said what you’ve just implied I said. I watch most premier league games mate, and I agree I wanna see Newcastle do well, I just hate how badly some of your lot are trying to put us down so just biting back really….
We finished with our youth team and still looked decent. Can't wait for next season
Buendia's performances last season was hot and cold and got knowhere near his full potential, in this game he was top class and fully deserved man of the match, hope he continues this form, another positive was Jaden Philogene, a promising youngster with bags of talent.
I really think we are going to make some of these pundits swallow their words - Buendia is looking on fire! Can’t wait for the season to start!
