- Hello everybody! I hope you're all magnificent today! Because in this episode of My Fragrance Obsession I am bringing you Aubusson Homme by Aubusson, from the year 1992. This fragrance is really unpopular, and I don't understand why because this is beautiful. It's one of those scents which gives me a shiver down my spine because it's one of the best Cinnamon fragrances ever!
The Notes:
Top Notes: Cinnamon, Apple, Lemon, Geranium and Musk.
Middle Notes: Balsam Fir, French Alps Oakmoss, Sandalwood and Amber.
Base Notes: Amber, Leather and Cedarwood.
My ratings for this fragrance are good, and bad. So let's get on with it.
Smell: I have to throw my hat off to the perfumer, who is unknown, because this is a masterpiece.
Type of fragrance: Casual yet different. I like to wear it on special occasions.
Longevity: Not the best at all. I get around 4-5 hours. Not the best for an EDT and a smell as amazing as this.
Silage: Not too bad, about a foot.

I know this Is an old video but I must say that back then this was my favorite one. I live in México and I've been searching it since 1992 but no luck...until now that I found it again and it will be my MUST HAVE from now on. Greetings
Never heard of this one but yes, it's dirt-cheap. I can get a 100ml bottle for $21 USD over here. Anyway, I'm surprised this one is classified as a Leather because there is no leather listed in the composition. I wasn't a big fan of pine and fir but, over the years, I have really come to love these notes. I wore Sung Homme the other night and loved it. Excellent review!
Anyway, my bottle of Victor Wall Street arrived yesterday...but I couldn't open it because the throwback art deco bottle was beautiful. Perhaps tonight.
Yeah it's an affordable scent. Leather is really detectable in this scent (to my nose) but I think it is to have in your collection! Thanks for watching ☺
+FragranceMatt I added a bottle to my Amazon cart while ordering a new pull-up bar for the garage and Epic All Natural Meat (Bison) Bars. Aubusson Homme is my last Spring purchase and last fragrance order until the Fall. I hope it's a great one! My order from FragranceNet arrived...ordered backup bottles of Gres Cabochard (love that stuff!!!), Mandarina Duck Black and Black Extreme since they're now discontinued, along with some new ones: Bijan Man, Halson Man Amber, Kenzo Power, Jacques Bogart Witness and Carven Le Vetiver. I'm sure that I find one or two gems in this shipment. We shall see.
+FragranceMatt I'm wearing Aubusson Homme this afternoon...very, very nice. I don't know if it blows me away, but it's a terrific springtime fir scent...and that's inexpensive and not something be worn by anyone else. Yep, longevity is not the best since it's a close skin scent after only 3-hours. Regardless, I look forward to spending more time with this one in the coming weeks.
Hey Matt. Ambusson Homme is indeed a nice fragrance, but I don't get the apple, cinnamon vibe you get. For me, it's woody and the fir note dominates the fragrance. Maybe I got a bad batch or it's been re-formulated. As for apple pie kind of fragrances, that would be Boss #6... that is a dead ringer for apple pie.
I got his on ma watch list dude..Right many of them showed up of the Ebay,,,not rare here it seems....

some claim that tbis is a Balenciaga Pour Homme lighter alternative?...I just got a 4ml bottle of Balenciaga Pour Homme today, but I don't want to dish the $100 for a bottle of BPH.
I can buy this (Aubusson Homme) for 1/4 of the price, but it would have to be a blind-buy, so would you recommend this as a cheaper alternative to BPH?
BTW, performance isn't an issue for me.
Joe Luke hello buddy! it is so similar yes but to me! APH is so unique in its own right along with BPH. Balenciaga pour Homme Is a mossy beast! with gorgeous Vanilla and Oud in it. Aubusson Homme to me smells like Christmas. Cinnamon, Pine and Apple. It's gorgeous in its own way but yes I will say they smell more alike in the drydown. I would reccomend this for a classic vibe, with some lovely Cinnamon and Apple notes. I would reccomend it ☺ I own a 30ml and a 100ml of APH and it's one of my hidden gems! hope that helps you my friend!

I've been contemplating getting another bottle of Tommy after a 6-7 year hiatus because it is nostalgic from growing up in the 90's...I love the apple note in it, so will APH be more in your face with the apple accord??

Hilfiger is fresh, where as Aubusson is quite Musky and Woody. Imagine the smell of an old Leather Jacket that has been kept in storage for years? mixed with a dated blend of Spicy Cinnamon stick and juicy Apples. that is Aubusson Homme ☺
fragrancematt. wow!! that just made me narrow it down to Aubusson! I absolutely love the smell of a leather jacket (preferably Pig Nappa or Cowhide leather) with raw cinnamon sticks.
