I agree that not all Trump supporters are hateful, but... the ones that aren't have to be just plain ignorant then. Not even saying that to be mean. Just look at all the videos they are posting lately about finally starting to understand tariffs, "Obamacare" vs the ACA, etc... Even this "Jeff" guy refused to listen to whatever this woman had to say about Trump that was negative. Ana said it herself: "Oh, she's gonna start bashing Trump, I'm out of here." Supposedly that's what Jeff said to her when the other woman spoke up.
I'm not saying I don't agree with the overall point Ana is making here about being less divisive and how we need to try to understand these people, but... grain of salt, ya know? Ana does have a certain privilege that a lot of other Americans don't and we experience the truly ugly side of Trump supporters daily just for existing.

To be honest, Ana, the real issue is this: if you really thought, at any point in your adult life and especially as a news anchor, that 80 million people, by voting for a con man, are inherently horrible people, then your judgment and ability to logically analyze dynamics and situations are so off the mark that you should be nowhere near presenting a news channel. Being ashamed is not enough, especially if what made you change your mind is Jeff-because what if the next Jeff is a piece of 'it'? What will you do then? Reverse your idea again?
Honestly, have a bit of humility and take your job far more seriously. From the time you were fully on the left to now being the kind of person who thinks 'there are good people on both sides' no matter the situation, you are extremely frivolous and superficial. That is your real problem, and it hasn’t changed one bit, you were superficial then and you are superficial now, with or without the Jeff anecdote.
Not saying they are horrible people but cannot fathom how people look past the facts: he is an adjudicated (jury) rapist, a convicted (jury) felon, multi time adjudicated fraudster, a longtime friend of Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell, accused by 20+ women of sex assault, admitted (tape) how he liked going into teen girls dressing rooms during his pageants. It's a moral issue/question. How would you react if a person with that resume moved next door to you OR applied for a job at your company?
I think what you have written is primarily based on the clip presented where Ana shares her anecdote, and I think that clip portrays Ana's previous views in a more rigid way than is actual. For this reason I can see where your critique is coming from. However, if you have watched TYT over time, you would know that Ana is (within the largely Cenk-Ana dynamic which is prominent because they kind of co-anchor the bulk of the main show) has been the voice that temporizes Cenk when it comes to his hyperbolic statements where he has generally rejected supporters of Trump and the far Right in a wholesale manner. She is the one who has pointed out that this doesn't make the supporters bad people. Ironically, Cenks logic is akin to yours in your critique of Ana - he takes a hardline perspective that these supporters by supporting Trump lunacy are themselves in total agreement with him and just as despicable as he is. Does Cenk really believe this? OF COURSE I don't think he does. But he says it to shake up the viewers on the Right, to get them to see what they are supporting and to point out their culpability for what the person they support does. Within her anecdote (does this make it an Ana-necdote?) I think Ana is using hyperbole of her own to help make her point. I don't think that Ana really thought that all the supporters were inherently horrible (as you put it), but the hyperbole helps to underscore the inanity of that position. This is entirely consistent with her record on TYT where In the past she has pointed out the hypocrisy of the left and main stream media in how they paint the Right as terrible for simply supporting the "other side". Thus, I reject your rather harsh thesis that she is frivolous and superficial. But I agree that the clip they ran might be somewhat supportive of that perspective, if you take it out of the larger context of her body of work on TYT. Back then, her stance was that right-wing voters were all horrible. Now, it’s that there are 'good people on both sides.' Both positions are equally unhelpful and shallow. The first is absurd because it assumes all left-leaning individuals are good and all right-leaning individuals are bad-a ridiculous generalization. The second is equally flawed because, while there are good people on both sides, the opposite is also true: there are bad people on both sides. Using either of these as a framework to evaluate situations is absurd, illogical, and naive.
The truth is that America has a problem, and the media-yes, all of it, including Ana and Cenk-are a significant part of that problem.

I'm not going to apologize for Loomer. I think what she did was wrong and she should do it. She is being more divisive and pushing people away. I'm here listening to TYT more because Ana is more open minded. I'm not going to sit and watch channel that constantly demonizes me because of the way I vote. In the past I wouldn't give TYT the time of day, I knew how Cenk and Ana were in the past, so I avoided them. Now that Ana is more centered, I watch more. I am always curious to see the left perspective and the right, If the first thing that comes out of your mouth is that I'm a white Nationalist and Nazi Fascist you are automatically discredited in my book, and I won't watch. Though I think Ana is weighing on Cenk a bit and he is become a little bit more centered, but he needs more work, I still disagree with him 95% of the time.
Ana as a recovering Democrat sober since Bill Clinton’s 2nd term this party is no longer my mother’s and father’s FDR and JFK party. I am a Trump supporter and I can tell you there are a lot more recovering Democrats with Trump then most believe. I do not hold you or Cenk responsible for the political climate of today.
