Really like this movie. You'll be hypnotized once you see every episodes. VERY REALISTIC AND INTERESTING. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED MOVIE. In fact, I keep on repeating watching this movie so many times. Very entertaining Chinese movie.
Seems she gets beat and tortured over and over while Beiyue or Lige only get injured and in a coma. Not that I want them to get beaten and tortured but just seems someone wants the female to really suffer. Some writer had a bad relationship?

She’s been attacked by countless women who were jealous and wanted the ML’s attention/affection. She’s even had acid cream on her face too! Yet, no marks on ML’s face! What’s up with that?
This man beating his son has me sad and perplexed. The son looks so very young. If the girl was only 5 (and the boy looks younger than her) how old could he have been for heavens sake. It was a horrible thing to do but it came from the father treating his son as though he were unimportant. He contributed to the evil deed by being too partial I feel. Just my thoughts. It doesn't excuse the son from having a bad nature (if he does) but that whole illegitimate thing and being treated differently etc.. is a theme in many dramas. Also the favorite child thing is too common. Brings jealousy into the picture. Using a whip on a child is never okay. How on earth will that bring good results. No one should ever strike their children in anger. It teaches your child violence is the answer to anger. So wrong in my opinion.
