one upgrade/update id love to see in this game. After X weeks, or a possible weekly upgrade, youre allowed to change a shop color meaning you can change a bad placed yellow shop to a blue shop which allows you to make a potential comeback from a lost position or just overall better your map position by saving you a motorway or bridge. Similarly to be able to do something similar to that with the homes would be great! It also doesnt seem too complicated to add as an update, just a random thought I had when I played this game.
That wuold be really cool! But the problem is that you will need to remake all of your roads just because you changed that one shop, which instead of being a reward is a little more like a waste of time
Still i still agree that there should be some kind of reward to the player to make it a little bit easier after the player completed x weeks
@@decas5505 It depends, like I said it adds a layer of strategy, look at the video, if he could repaint that awfully placed yellow shop with no nearby yellow homes it wouldnt cause him to remake his roads it would just be a benefit and allow him to have a bit more control over otherwise random rng. He could keep the repaint as an inventory option rather than a must use.

And it also depends in what week they give it to you, because at one point in the game the roads are just a mess, basically everything is like a spaghetti lol, and it wouldnt be worth it changing a shop unless you are about to lose the game

It's my advice to pause time and rebuild the city from scratch after the first cinema spawns down.

I looked up Mini Motorways because I was curious if there were any tricks that I was missing. This was the first video that popped up, didn’t even look at subscribers or views or anything just clicked it. Found this guy to be quite entertaining. I learned things and didn’t click away when I was satisfied with my new knowledge, actually watched the whole thing.

Small update but what about adding a new kind of road, one direction roads that only alow you to move in one direction, they have double the capacity cause the other lane is the same direction and can merge with intersections and other roads as a way that can only be entered or exited, they could add a bit more control over high traffic areas and possibly form large roundabouts ect

It’s more fun when you have one big traffic system. The disadvantage is traffic, which you don’t have at all, but the advantage is you don’t have to make manual decisions about house to imax ratios, which even if you’re good are going to kill you eventually.
A vid that i want you to make is after every 5 weeks you pause the game and delete everything then redesign everything

Cool strategy: when you start to get problems, delete everything and build it again but better
I don't like that the supermarkets come with a pre-built entrance/exit. It would be nice if you could connect wherever to them.
I go nuts watching when you have timers everywhere and you try to fix stuff in real-time. Use the pause button, my friend!! I’d also love for you to pause the game more often and do an overview of what you have and then explain problem areas and how you want to fix them and then take your time implementing the fixes, rather than rush through them in panic while the game keeps ticking. Just because the game isn’t moving doesn’t mean your video is less engaging, because you can pan and zoom to the areas you’re taking about. I enjoy listening to your explanations.

As fun as this game is, I think it would also need multi colored houses, so seperation is not as viable of a strategy :P

The utter dystopian nightmare that is this game's supply and demand system is terrifying to think about. This isn't a traffic game, its a prediction of where we're going. Where corporations control when and where we get groceries or go to the movies, and the roads are miles long, making us spend all our money on gas. (This is mostly a joke)

I still can't get over how hyped I was for Mini Metro "sequel" and how disappointed I was with this game when it released. The upgrades feel useless mostly, you fail due to pure rng and lack of logic. Btw why we get bigger shops but everyone lives in randomly thrown around houses? I guess if they don't know the sane rules of using roundabouts then they also don;t know you can live in a bigger, multi-family building

It’s hilarious and sad when you think about this from a really point of view because who builds an Imax on the opposite side of a city from where the people that go there are.
I mean, in reality a lot of places are built like that, the real difference is that all the shops are in the same areas, and all the houses are in the same areas, so it's easily to connect them all
As for roundabouts being unrealistic for vehicles giving way to cars aproaching. In Poland we have 2 general types of roundabouts - with priority for cars on the roundabout (approaching cars have a Give Way sign and are obliged to wait before entering roundbout if it is occupied) and without priority (right hand rule is in use, cars on the drivers right hand have priority, even over cars driving on a roundabout - those have to stop before the approach). Second type is basically a junction shapped into a circle. So it only depends on the country ;)

Thank GOD for the dark mode, thank you! I had the skip the others since I'm diabetic and we usually can't see anything with a light background. I live in the dark and use special software to darken everything. Light background wash out every other color and causes severe pain.

Gotta admit, it's odd that the shops cause you to fail rather than the people, seeing as a shop that gets no people simply fails, but people that don't get shops can cause problems, but still, neat game!
The timer icon looks very similar to the marker location icon from Google maps. But also looks like a upside-down shopping bag
It seems that if you place a traffic light in a spot that does nothing the green and red dots don't show up. So, you probably could have saved a lot.

You don't actually have to go around trees. Once you drag a road thru the tree, it gets destroyed.
