I was there last Friday I went up on the train. I loved it. Lovely old buildings to explore and great views from the peace bridge of the Foyle and Donegal mountains.
Thank you ConnollyCove, i am from Derry, but have not lived in Derry for 35 years, any time i can see the city has come a long way, as a child of the 70s in Derry it was not a nice time to be a teen, i just hope that the years ahead Derry will still have the hope it has today.
The city is a new place today - amazing! We were there for Halloween and it was the best few days we had anywhere in Ireland in the last year...amazing. I know what you mean back in the 70's, would have been very tough! I can only imagine. When we were there last month - I remembered the 2013 name that was used for the city "Legenderry" and I thought it was so fitting...really amazing! We have a few more videos of the city to post...but 100% a new city today....loads of tourists, new vibe...it just feels different.
@@clintireland389 Boy do you have a lot of hate in you! Have you never thought of getting an education? Your English is so bad you should stick to Gaelic - after all, you hate the English so much, so why use it at all?
What’s with all the London crap?? Ever wonder how it’s only half baked nationalists who use this offensive, colonial name DerryLondonderry! The city is called Derry ffs! Wise up eh!
What an ignorant little man you are. I say "ignorant," for you obviously don't know that it isn't the Nationalists who call it Londonderry, but the Unionists and Loyalists. FYI, the city is part of the UK, and as such can be called anything they want. It was only citizens of the UK that prevented it from being turned into a heap of ashes.....so think on fella, if you can get over your own half-baked ideology and learn who the Nationalist are. Now, you were saying "wise up;" surpisingly good advice from someone so stupid! You should try taking it!
@@reggriffiths5769 wow what bullshit you possess! For 1, it’s the nationalists native Irish call the city its name Derry, foreigners, Planters descendant of immigrants, brits & Scottish Huns use the term Londonderry! But would never say it aloud when in Derry! Ok Bozo!

Nice to see Derry looking so good. Much better than last time I was there.
