- Join me on an unforgettable journey as I traverse the rugged landscapes of Norway on my trusty motorcycle. In this video, I dive deep into Norway's breathtaking forests for a wild camping experience.
As night falls, I set up camp amidst the towering trees and settle for a peaceful night under the stars. But, just as I'm about to drift off, I hear rustling in the bushes. What was supposed to be a quiet night in the wilderness takes an unexpected turn when some of Norway's cheeky nocturnal residents decide to join me for dinner!

If you carry an axe you could have kept the pelts of all the animals that tried to steal your biscuits. Coming home draped in the firs of your adversaries, a triumphant shield-maiden returning from the wild northlands biscuits in hand.

I ride with a Camelbak, staying hydrated is so important, I was moderate to severely dehydrated in Portugal when I crashed my bike

Once, somewhere i Germany, I was sleeping inte woods and was awaken by a badger trying to bite its way through the footend of my sleeping bag! A bit of a surprise.

For camping pegs that work anywhere, look at 150mm nails, 2p washers, and a claw hammer from B&Q. Cheaper, last basically forever, and don't bend or beak like tent pegs do.

It was trolls that helped themselves to your biscuits. Trolls are only active at night since they turn into stone if they are hit by sunrays.

I left some buscuits once in my porch part of the tent whilst on the Isle of Jersey. Some animal helped themselves to them whilst I was asleep, and to thank me for that they had a "SHIT" on the way out. Thank god it wasn't a DOG. 😭😭😭🤮🤮🤮

Wild camping is the best! Pure serenity! The visitor was most probably a fox or maybe a badger. Especially young foxes (this years litter) are very curious and not shy at this time of the year. I have even hand fed them a couple of times. Badgers are also not very shy if they can't hear or smell you. I have spent the night in the garden here at home where a whole family of badgers with two adults and three cubs have been around me digging for food and playing and even running under the field bed I was lying in. There are no dangerous wild animals in Norway, unless you provoke them to attack in some way (which is very uncommon). I would not hesitate to wild-camp anywhere in Norway, and also have done it for many years, even in bear and wolf land (that is in the eastern Norway where I live). However, I think you were quite brave given that you did not know anything about what was out there and in a "creepy mood", and still confronted that beast or omen out there in the darkness! 😱😎
I'm thinking it was a fox now a few people mentioned it! I didn't consider a fox at the time but they are quite dog-like
Can't wait to see the next one :) Looking forward to see which route you took, either way, you passed by where I live. There are some nice roads up here, and I can't wait for spring again, so I can take out my bike.

Spooky. Well you did want to camp in a spooky forest😅. It was entertaining. We have bandicoots that rustle around the tents because we have disturbed the ground. Great for worms and beetles. If you spot them with a torch they stand still. We you turn the torch off they carry on grubbing up the ground.
Today I learnt that a Bandicoot is a real thing 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭 I just thought it was a video game character ahahha I'm an idiot

Wild camping is far more safer than camping near towns and in campsites. Campsites just give you the illusion of safety.

Being a Japanese bike and you're stuck with "Renegade" the only fitting name has to be "Ronin" (Renegade Samurai).
It's amazing how the mind plays tricks. You left the biscuits out as an offering to the gods for safe passage 😅. I'm not sure I'd go for with renegade, maybe Raphael, Raven, or Ryder looking at the etymology. Safe travels.

Norway..come for the natural beauty and epic motorcycle riding. but you will Stay because of the Blair witch style camping and late night campsite visits from unseen only heard Ravenous beasts... 😳 Well done!
To be fair, it is the most wonderful place to wild camp! It's so hard to get off grid in the UK
well.. i woke up once in norway in the middel of the night. Was the first time i thought i should hide my food high up in a tree after 1 month of travle. was also the night i saw a bear 20 meters away from my tent, at the food bag hanging on a wire in the tree. scared the shits out of me. looked the bear in the eye and the bear looked me in to the eye. seemed like a eternality. how ever it was just a second. than it scattered as fast as it could.
so i can imagine what experience you had.

I camped a couple of years ago in my motorhome in the mountains at Sierra Nevada , was amazing but during the night all you could hear was all the wild dogs howling like wolves , was so loud you had to sleep with the telly on to drown out the noise , you also had the wild cats too appear and had this absolutely beautiful pure white cat kept sleeping under my van while I was staying there

@@SaffySprocket when I rode up Sierra Nevada I got to 11,500 ft ish , not bad considering I was riding a Kawasaki ksr110 , on the way down I used the disused road which was amazing and had to ride about 1/2 mile over the snow cap to rejoin the road , if only I had a helmet camera then

😊 I used to work out there and got to know a few norweigan,s who informed me of the bears as it's a commen thing the further inland and and a bit further north, living the content stay safe
I think it was smaller than a bear! It ran away very quickly!

I always take a Sawyer Squeeze water filter AND a Steripen Ultra violet light water treatment as ultra violet light is what they use in industry to cleanse muscles before shipping out for sale to the shops and restaurants.

Was the lake a freshwater or sea water lake? If fresh I guess the lake water would have been pretty good quality. Especially if boiled. Alternatively look for a mountain stream. Better than any tap water!
If you call your bike Renegade, you could shorten it to Renée as a nick name. That sounds a bit more friendly.
Hi saffy, lovely scenery reminds me of Scotland, put a coat of paint on the barn nearly ready to move in, if i didn't know you were joking i would be concerned about you not knowing if you would like a shower or to be murdered it did make me laugh.
