The reason the fuze breaks every time you open a new power switch is because if the fuze is broken on one side and working on the other when you connect the lines the broken fuze just becomes the whole line.
sooo turn on the fuses on both sides, then connect the power switch?

I'd recommend setting aside some time to build into the Dimensional Storage system. It really makes the game a hell of a lot less hassle when you realize you're short one material for a thing.
Its been a godsend when i restarted, just having stuff like concrete and nobelisks alone at all times is wonderful

Thanks Jace, helps a lot. Thanks for doing the video that everyone is thinking about but nobody is -dumb- *brave* enough to take on the challenge! I am dreading this process on my old saves which need power from now nonexistent nodes, as well as some factories maybe being partly buried.
I continued my update 8 save into 1.0 as well. I just finished adding dimensional depots to all my existing factories (which is an absolute game changer), updating my computers factory for the new recipe, and adjusting some factories for terrain changes. Sommersloops are awesome for extending existing production without needing more resources.

Me and two friends started a new save… we could have continued using the save we had since U3, but we decided to rebuild everything instead of fixing what we had… and now we already have 132 hours on the new save.

The whole factory was up and running in 2 streams (so like 12hrs but that’s also with chatting to chat) so it wasn’t too bad
i continued with my save waterfall urainium node is now a 300 max per min and some quartz nodes are just gone along with sulfer next to waterfall
Why didn't you use priority groups, tho ? This way you wouldn't trip the whole network when something goes bad.
“The whole network” in this case was some coal generators attached to batteries - so it didn’t really matter here. The priority groups are designed to protect your factory as you scale it up, and that’s not what I was using it for here. I just wanted everything else to be off while I got the turbo fuel tower running because once that worked then it would power everything else with ease.

I never could get too much into the game before release. I dont know what it was. I got to stage 2, got all main upgrades but then went to upgrade the tower and I just kinda left it there. Never did much building things either. So Sadly while the saves arent gone, I have not used them to return to the game.
However, I am now building the tower and am half way through the first big boy upgrade of it. So hey we getting places :D

Actually the first thing I did was continue a world with my friend that we started 18 months ago. THEN I got onto my main solo world and started fixing things.

I abandoned my old world, 820 hours total.
In my new 1.0 world i already clocked in 86 hours. Been having a lot of fun.
Granted, the only 'real' project i invested 90% of my time on is a massive field of fuel generators.
turning 1800 crude oil into 6400 Rocket Fuel, into up and around 1500 fuel generators....
i couldve had a social life, but i chose to play satisfactory.

I got to the point where I've spent all weekend programming a spreadsheet to keep track of all the inputs and outputs in my factory o_o
I've also kept my save file (on which I've completed phase 4 too in U8). I prepared a lot with the announcements that we got, built a huge battery plant just in case (which I didn't need in the end) and already re-belted some factories for the node changes. There were surprisingly few recipe changes that affected my factories. I think it was only computer recipes that I had to throw in some Somersloops to compensate the change, and some minor things. 90% of my factories were still working without me having to do something.
I'm glad I kept going, and now already finished phase 5 :)
Nice that you had a smooth transition to 1.0 and GGs on completing phase 5 - thats so cool!

It was so good to see you at the 1.0 release stream Jace. Even with you not working at Coffee Stain Studios anymore, it looked like you went on a vacation to see the family.
The full release brought me back to the game with a fresh start. So you have my utter respect for going out there checking and fixing all the little issues that came with the update. Godspeed on getting that space elevator send up once more for the last time. (this time for real)

I started an new savefile Bug I habe one sage from Update 7 that I maybe will continue it
I also decided, after 1000 hours in the save, that I was going to continue it. And it did take a disappointingly long time to fix 😂
One hiccup was the new sulphur node I planned to use to fix my turbo fuel factory was not working! It was there just not functioning. Took a few days for that to get fixed.
1.0 comes out and the 1st thing i did was get deleted from the forums because i asked if we can change gender at some point in the future
First thing i did in 1.0 was finish my save that was started in January 2022 (update 5)
I feel like playing an old save in a new version is just asking for trouble.
Dude i plan to setup a factory, then i see something in the mam that i want to unlock first, then i think i need more power, then i need some quartz and at the end of it i did totally not do what i planned😂
I hope Jace upgrades to rocket fuel, or the new ion fuel

I am still playing early access, since my old Phase 4 build isn't done yet! Its annoying that i have to block Steam on my firewall to do this...

If you wish to BACK UP your Early Access version of Satisfactory here's how:
1) Make a copy of the game
2) In your game's root folder there is a "launcher_id" file. Delete/rename it. Run FactoryGame.exe and the game will launch. However, your save files won't be detected.
3) Move your save files into the "common" folder. If you don't have a common folder go up one dir & make one.
Common folder is located:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\common
or copy paste "%LocalAppData%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\common" into file explorer
