This is Markus Schulz 2023. I my opinion he was never so good like he is currently. You rocked the stage, Markus! Keep it going. Thank you Lumi team for a high quality upload.
He was at his best in his earlyish GDJB days imo. He was right up there then, developing a nice melodic sound and growing it around the world. I don’t think I know a dj that worked harder, he was playing 150 + gigs a year. What came next with that terrible trouse period and New World Punx era did him no favours at all and he’s never recovered. But he still has a lot of followers. I’m not sure he knows what he wants to play these days. But at least he didn’t go the way of Tiesto and Armin.
@@markhardcastle9820 Agreed. GDJB days he had a nice dark prog/McProg sound that worked well back then and is what he was known for. He tried to go a bit mainstream/Armin route that didn't work out too well.
The best Markus style! Reminds me the "Prague 11" compilation. Absolutely #unicornslayer 🔥
This is an amazing compilation. Love ❤ the full-on ambiance and memorable execution released into our global atmosphere. This was clearly purposed for the ones who can appreciate a genius mindset by nature. Clearly transcending a lifetime of slam dunk masterpieces. Marcus Schulz always does the math on the turntables. 100% agree. Some DJs didn't need that 3-hour spot in the mainstage. They could've easily given at least 1 hour to support upcoming talent.

Ik ben wel fan van Markus, maar hij draait wel vaak weer dezelfde nummers, weet loops & things, weer de we are the light mash up (heel dik daar niet van) en zo wel meer nummers die elke set zowat terug komen al jaren. Iets van vernieuwing mag best. En iets minder techno ook.
En een trui met 33 graden...da Fok.

Hah. Markus’ set was very different from the rest of the uplifting acts at Lumi. The Unicorn slayer indeed… I love uplifting but this was a nice change of pace. I like the dark vibes of euphoric techno. He mixes the genres very well. You can’t say he’s on the techno hype train when he has always mixed techno sounds into his sets.
