I recently bought an Xbox x and and just finished this game,i don't know about you but its the first time i enjoyed a game's story so much.
If you like this game I highly recommend both What Remains of Edith Finch and also Pentiment! Both are very emotional well written stories with great endings, Pentiment is a lot like a play, like this game was.
Idk how anyone can not like this one and like the first. It’s a story game and the story and writing it amazing and better than most modern media anywhere
amazing game hell blade 2 is one of the best games of 2024 its not an over whelming game but its a awesome well done Microsoft studios story mode is tops
So.. let see if I got it.. the three main protagonists went psycho with senua and there are no giants in the game.. just a product of their imagination..? And senua did not wanted to kill this final guy because she understood that vengeance means no good, only curses the soul and rottens it?
At this point i think that the three of them were hearing the same voices that senua hears
Everyone is inside Senua's mind, the three companions, the giants and even this guy. I believe this is the way Senua's mind found to make it clear to herself that she is not gonna become her father and that her mother was not a bad person at all

how do you dodge?
The A button (on xbox controller). You can't spam the action though, it's like an invisible button prompt. You got to learn the movements of your enemy. When the dodge feels 'clumsy', you were off.

The fat dude was capturing her people for slavery and sacrifice, but she defeats him and shows HIS people he is weak. She spares him, and becomes the leader of them.
The characters do not look like they are metahumans they look as if they are player models created by the engine of the ninja theory company and then imported to ue5 because i believe that metahumans are more realistic than this these ones in the video do not look realistic at all however the enviroment looks pretty realistic and near cinematic-graphics quality

I was pretty disappointed with this ending ngl. In Hellblade 1 I was marching into Hel, cutting down everything in my way to get to Hela, demanding my bf's soul be freed, and being forced to accept it was impossible by giving up.
In Hellblade 2, I was smacking around a balding old man with a neckbeard that I met 5 minutes ago.
The ending of the hands reaching towards her is so beautiful

They simply hating on it Cus it’s an Xbox game.
Dreamcast guy for example gave the first game (a ps4 timed exclusive) like an 8-9/10 but gave the sequel a 4/10…I wonder why.

I don't like it because I thought it wasn't going to all be in her mind. I thought she was going to Iceland to stop the norse. not just have another bad trip in her mind and not do anything and the end the game is "surprise, you didnt do anything its all in your head!" was a another massive let down. don't get me wrong its pretty and the story was cool up till i figured out what was going on and it was a copy of the first game in that its all not happening. I just wanted a game where you go to iceland and fight the norse as a pict and maybe run into some the creatures that live there. Like in the first game I thought you fought Hel to get your lover's soul back but no she just has a meltdown when she finds her dead lover and the rest is all not real, she is just freaking out and its all in her mind... fun for one play through but once you know the gimmick the game really really blows.
@@Torbjorn311 that's what you get when you don’t hire real writers. It’s the greatest cop-out when you have no creativity: “suddenly I woke up and realised that it was all a dream”. You get that from 14 year old girls school essays AND triple A game studios. All I can tell is that this was definitely not written by a 50 year old white guy, who would hire them these days…

I came here as I had played Hellblade 2 until the final boss and then kept losing. I worked out that the trick that is being used here in this video is to change the setting to self-play. Great game!

I enjoyed this game way more than the first one. First game sucked ass ngl. Gave the 2nd game a try and it's way better than the first one. Took my 9 hours to beat, idk how you fucks beat the game in 5 hours, like take your time, enjoy the scenery, look around and collect shit instead of rushing to beat it.
I have done that attack on him after using focus 3 times now, and it's just more fighting. Am I missing something here?

Is it just me or is does the game just looks too cinematic? I mean, it looks good but it looked like it needs more effort in the gameplay. It feels more like watching a movie than playing an action game.

It doesnt need more effort in the gameplay because its how some games are now, they put the effort in the cinematic/story part rather than the gameplay. Like an adventure you can interact with.
It's between an action hack and slash and a walking sim. I liked it though, it's really more focused on story and atmosphere.
The first one felt like a game. This one felt like a movie you happened to be in control of. The combat, puzzles, and story were all watered down for the sake of cinematics.

if at 23:15 after "you are your fathers daughter" she would have killed the guy and it cut to black, I would have prefered that ending.

The ''schizo'' voices are not even needed at all, they are actually annoying in fact. Popping up with useless lines during dialogue. I wouldn't last 8 hours of a whole playthrough with them.

They are necessary. They help you see how Senua is feeling each moment. They also reflect emotions of her. Her fears, her feelings, they get verbalised by the voices
This is the sequel to the first game that had that. This isn't news at all.
