I don't know how to speak Chinese, but I DEFINITELY know that this was the perfect send-off to starting a new chapter in the Disney Park Resort Story! :D
Yes ! Disneyland in Shanghai is truly a beautiful and amazing site. We hope to have everyone visit and see what Disneyland Shanghai has to offer. Thank You Theme Park Insider for spreading the news. Best of wishes to every one. We hope to see you there! ✨
That was brilliant! 😄😄😆 It was exciting, breath-taking, and it's the most wonderful ceremony I've ever watched! I am so pleased. It really does capture the spirit of the talented man who started it all. I really enjoyed it. 😊😄 Also, the fireworks at the end are splendid!
Same. If I would've changed something, it would've been to make Mickey do something or talk and to make the ceremony a little more American. What I mean by "a little more American" is, at the end, the last song is supposed to be a Chinese When You Wish Upon a Star, but I didn't even know that, that was the song.
remember the skills 1. bring your our food and water (very expensive) 2. bring a small chair that can folded 3. learn chinese, scold them when they butt in qeues 4. study the maps and tours avoid going with the tours many people 5. notice the hotels and restaurant tolite
Bryant Chan Man, it sucks that one of the nicest Disney parks I've ever seen has to be treated so poorly by careless people regardless of their culture.
Bryant Chan And also just found out that the Chinese government issued "etiquette guides" to guests to make them act more "civil." Even the Chinese public media is calling out their own people. Just sad. shanghaiist.com/2016/06/19/shanghai_disneyland_uncivilized_behavior.php
Nice fireworks at 19:53, I cannot wait until July 4th comes. Good to see those fireworks at Shanghi Disneyland, it is in China, the country where fireworks were originated going back to many, many centuries.
- Speaking as an American who grew in the decades when China was our enemy, I found it to be interesting that the backless white dress and the low-cut shoulderless red dress would have been grounds for "re-education" (or worse) years ago. - I really liked the perimeter ground lights that could be directed (wow) - Liked how the golden arched trellis became Cinderella's carriage when the wheels appeared - The huge mass choir at the end, how many singers? - Strange that there was SO much western music, other than the Chinese stringed instrument, until the last four minutes - Interesting how far away are the fireworks, compared to here at WDW; probably because the park continues just behind the castle - DL and WDW now are probably really wishing that they had a castle forecourt like this one! (Eric: yes, ours is big but this thing is HUGE. Look at it again, especially from above. The forecourt AND the open area is enormous, plus they have space under the stage for lifts, which we really don't.)
At least it wasn't interrupted by unnecessary commentary during the musical segments in the grand opening ceremonies like on the Disney Channel broadcast. But it was totally awesome otherwise.
I hope to vist Disneyland in China someday. how far is it from the USA here how long on plane is it from WI. also is it all in chinesse there or is the rides in English at all. I'm gonna vist Disneyland in California first sometime
That event was a publicity stunt. It never made financial sense other than to grab press headlines. The second year it didn't get as much attention as the first year, since the press considered it already done. So it was not necessary to continue.
adream ofpointlessdreams all the princesses. Instead of the castle belonging to one specific princess they decided to include them all in the new castle.
the castle is huge. But that doesn,t make up for the fact it looks like a bad collage of too much of everything...take away the fancy spires and you have a 30's prison block.
The Disneyland Shanghai Castle is SO BIG. I just kept staring at it today. It's so awesome.
Wow, there're actually two Disneylands in China now. Hong Kong and Shanghai!
I don't know how to speak Chinese, but I DEFINITELY know that this was the perfect send-off to starting a new chapter in the Disney Park Resort Story! :D

What do you mean forecourt? Here at WDW we have a huge hub and a gigantic stage in front of the castle.
China isn't exactly neutral or friendly with us now, they still have high tensions with us. Mainly cause (cough cough) Obama.
This is what Disneyland in America should upgrade to lol
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍👍👍👍👍spectacular show!
Anybody know where the music is available? I know it was written especially for the opening.

In the words of Bernie Sansers, the casrle is "HYYUUUGEE!!
That's what Donald Trump says. Mr Sanders would say something like "the castle is thriving with SOCIALISM!!!"
