It was wonderful to here an aboriginal voice and hear this special person express her self in the softly spoken language of the Australian aboriginal.
I wish you well in your quest to rid Australia of this pest that is destroying
    this beautiful country.

It's great that the ABC gives young people the opportunity to tell their stories in their own language.

What a lucky girl you are to live in such beautiful country. I hope you can get rid of the camels in some way. Thankyou for talking about your country.

What a beautiful story with stunning imagery of that country. How sad is it that introduced camels are destroying everything pretty much like all the other introduced species. Something should be done to address the situation for these young people's future. 🙏🏽

I've driven the Great Central Road, and passed through Warakurna. From the road we don't see any of this beautiful country in the film. Thanks for sharing your special place Charlotte.

In my country Camels are precious and sold to the Arab world. Owning a camel is a sign of wealth.

    interesting
i wonder how on earth the camels manage to "ruin the river" as she said
these damn camels must be pretty impressive dam builders to stop the flow of water across australia

Camels need Water to Survive, maybe theyre destroying their Waterholes I Guess..

    • @jcampbellshale

Lol. I can understand the confusion you feel, but this is desert country and the river beds are dry most of the time. It's damage to the river beds and banks she is referring to 😀 these wild herds can reach really large numbers and have no trouble at all destroying natural watercourses

The camels drink what little water there is and do their business in the water hole therefore contaminating the water so people can no longer drink there. I've seen another video where the water hole was just ruined by all the camels shitting in the water. I feel for the people of that country because it's now stopped them from what they've done for thousands of years. Something needs to be done.
