    1. They were professional in the "divide and conquer" tactic and 2. They did not have to do too much to sow dissent between the already mistrustful and hateful of each other Greek states.

How can you talk about the History of Greece and Rome warfare and completely leave out Pyrrhus? Pyrrhus had 3 huge battles with Rome and won every single battle. However Rome kept coming and Pyrrhus took so many losses afterwards he said, "If we are victorious in one more battle with the Romans, we shall be utterly ruined". Pyrrhus left the Peninsula for good retreating to Sicily. For a while he was the big man in Siclily until his allies turned on him and he fled Sicily. While leaving Sicily he reporteded said ""What a battlefield I am leaving for Carthage and Rome!"

And it's not really related to the main topic here being shown in the video, the conquest of Greek-states by Rome, rather Pyrrhus campaign is the opposite of that, an invasion onto Rome by the Kingdom of Epirus.

I especially love the maps with coloured areas to indicate which people controlled what territory. Those maps are already good, but could be even better if you included a time-scale.
for example at 9:30, beautiful map that makes me instantly understand the situation, but I need to know *when* was this situation.

It's important to mention that Greek states, kingdoms, democracies, oligarchies, and tyrannies, were just shadows of their former selves. However, combined, they could match the Romans, as the Greeks, even in their difficult situation, marked by constant civil wars, ethical decline, and corruption, didn't lack courage, vigor, and military skill. In fact, Greece was richer than Italy. Greek hoplites in the Hellenistic era were professional soldiers, while Republican Romans were conscripts. Greeks had the edge in military technology, such as catapults and other war machines, as well as better armor and weaponry. Many confuse the later Imperial Romans with the earlier Republican Romans, who were equipped with basic, mediocre gear. The Greeks had superb cavalry, including light, heavy, and cataphracts, and a formidable navy; however, they didn't fully utilize their abilities."

The Irony is that the latins in the end lost everything to the Hellenes, their empire after Heraclius, even their name ended up meaning Greek in the 20th century (Rhomios=Greek).
"Hellenic is the superior language of the world, you Italian, what reason do you have to boast?" Theodore Laskaris, emperor of Rhomaioi, 13th century.

The Greeks lost from Romans because they were totally STUPID. The Greeks were not united. If ALL the Greeks were united then the Romans could lose Rome at 12 months!!! I know people that you do not understand the power of the Greeks , so i must explain! When i say "if the Greeks were united" then i mean "if the greek kingdom of Macedon , ALL the Greek states of south mother Greece , ALL the Greek states of Great Greece , ALL the greek states of Bosporus , the greek kingdom of Kirinaika , the greek kingdom of Alexandria (fake name-Ptolemaic empire) , the greek kingdom of Antiochia (fake name-seleucid empire) , the greek states of Thrace and the greek states of Cyprus WERE UNITED , then the Romans could stand NO CHANCE against the Greeks!!!" .It would be IMPOSIBLE for the Romans to win! Just imposible!
