On Christmas Eve of this year it will be four years since she passed away. I got her right after I turned 21, and I'm 32 now. So I had her for about 7 years. She was young when I first got her. Not a baby, but definitely a juvenile. She grew from about 2 feet to about 5 feet. Of all the different animals I've had, or my family or roommates have had, she was the most gentle animal of them all. The most gentle animal I've ever encountered in fact. I've wanted to get another ball python, but I don't think I will. I just don't think I'll ever meet another snake that is as good as Pickles was. But maybe I will some day.

I know this is a month old already, but other than normal house pets, snakes, spiders etc don't eat often and need relatively low amount of care compared to a dog or a cat. Still, a lot of work of course!
So long as you know exactly how to properly care for your reptiles,it's a breeze. I never once had a problem making my Ball Python happy and generally semi friendly
