I just wanted to say that I appreciate the sophisticated analysis on Syrian travel vloggers.
You communicated effectively and identified aspects of the travel vlog that were indeed propaganda on the part of the Syrian regime.
I think more people need to see this video to understand that many of these travel vloggers are being exploited by the government's of the countries they visit for the purpose of spreading propaganda to uninformed international viewers. This video did an excellent job communicating this in a way that is understandable to the average person that doesn't necessarily have an advanced level of knowledge in geopolitics.
Thank you, and I hope to see more of your work in the future.

I like in general Drew's content, but yeah I think he should have more scepticism. Propably he wanted to close the book with his visits if 197 countries quickly and that's why he produced this kind of videos. I believe him that he wasn't sponsored by the Syrian government, but he should have in mind that maybe the guides could have an agenda. Yes, people are not their governments, and maybe yes he met with a few nice people in Syria. But still the elephant in the room is there and you can't ignore it. To be fair he addresses some issues like the fact that most Syrian citizens live below the poverty line, but he should have talked more about the harsh realities. In other cases he did, but there he failed. If you have to visit Syria keep these in mind. Just because it has beautiful sights and delicious food that does not mean we shouldn't talk about Assad. I hope that in the future Drew will talk more about this.
P.S. Now the violence returned in Syria and it seems like it's not safe to go for sure
