I really hope Doakes returns, he's honestly my favorite character in the series and honestly the best written in my opinion. Dexter and doakes were like two sides of the same coin. Dexter was a killer but had his code. Doakes was an asshole...but he had his own sort of morals as a cop. He was honestly one of the good cops, when the other cops wanted to jump a crime boss outside the law, he was completely against it, and when that marine killed his wife and tried to flee, he took him down despite how he felt. It would be interesting to see doakes appear near the end of the season or mid way through the series and he just catches on to Dexter's dark passenger, the way Dexter views a crime scene full of blood could tip Doakws off and give him a bad feeling about Dexter right away. I can't wait for this series! I'm rewatching Dexter right now
@@robyn9513 doaks will be purposely left out of season 1 (possible reason is that he was in the military) and season 2 will feature him and yes theres a high chance for season 2
I think Doakes being the one person that isn’t already there when Dexter starts working at the Metro goes a long way. Everyone else gets to know him as the new guy, the son of an officer, etc. Doakes comes in and meets him once he’s settled and sees him without any of the attachment to Harry.
When I was on Dexter season 4 I was really wishing that it would end with him moving on from his trauma and not letting Harry’s influence control him anymore, the final episode could have shown Dexter killing Harry in his imagination with the ritual he always does but while Harry is wrapped in shrink wrap every single character that has died as a result of Dexter is shown in pictures of flashes and Dexter dosen’t take a blood sample, he just goes for the stab and kills his father symbolically to show that he’s making his own choices now After that he gives up killing with Harry as his final victim and living a normal family life with Harrison
Beautiful. I like it. Dexter and Doakes taking people down would be cool too. I can live with lumberjack Dexter, but new blood is noncanon and bad for me lol
The show touched on the exact moment Doakes became suspicious of Dexter and it wasn't while he was an intern. So if he were cast they couldn't get that part of the character people love so much without retconning. But season one implied he and Laguerta were on the same team when she got promoted over him. So he should be a part of that team still. Just another reason I don't have high hopes for a prequel series of a character we already know the history of lol.
After watching the trailer, I wouldn’t call Dexter original sin, a prequel, more like Dexter season 10. It’s genius. I think he’s recalling his past possibly to Angela, Bautista, Masuka and/or Quinn (Quinn owes him one) in order to get some empathy from them. And with Season 11 Dexter resurrection I think it’ll be about his escape with the help of one/all of his close friends. He needs to escape because the code says don’t get caught :-)
I bet ya the character of mad dog is a Villian.. Joe Pantoliano is actually good at playing villians. I'm hoping harry morgan would have a bigger role in this. He was actually my favourite character
If Original Sin is only one season (hopefully) I hope it ends with Debras' birthday party, and you connect the dots with everything that happened to Harry after that
If Original Sin is preditably a retelling of Dexter's past and recaptures the feel of the original series with original main antagonists for a younger Dexter. Then this could have multiple seasons that eventually end where the story of the Ice Truck Killer begins. As for Resurrection the title is a dead give away the showrunners originally intended to do a Harrison spin-off series or have him be the focus of Season 2. Unfortunately they realized that fans didn't want Dexter to die during the finale for New Blood. So it's obvious that they are going to explain how Dexter doesn't die by Harrison's hands. The only question currently a mystery at this point is will Dexter change his identity once again or be on the run? They already made it known to the public that they intend for Resurrection to possibly have multiple seasons.
While I am super excited for Resurrection, I have zero excitement for Original Sin. I don't understand the point of re-hashing Dexter's origin story that was already told perfectly in the series proper. I'll be skipping this one.
I'm a huge Dexter fan but they need to just let it rest. they ruined the original series with season 8 and with the recasting and everything for this new show it's just gonna be weird. I'll be happy if they prove me wrong but 99% chance they don't.
What do you think the plot of Dexter: Original Sin will be?

I agree…he was meant for that roll!

How many “honestlys” do you have to use?
@jarnold8432 i suppose 3 😂 I was just excited with how this show could play out. Excuse the extra honestlies

Exactly we know the history what’s the point of a prequel
watching this after the new trailer came out, your theory about his life flashing before his eyes might just be true

6:44 you got it exactly! The new trailer shows exactly this!
Things we moght learn
Why he uses m99
His first kill was a nurse
How did he hide in front of the younger cast..
And why deb was so clueless
I thought this is a killer who is interested in the bay harbor butcher in the future
We need Doakes! He's that special sauce😂

I have a feeling young Dexter may kill one of Deb's boyfriends
DEXTER was suchba great show

More vince maskua hell yeah perfect wst to bring some of these characters back in resurrection
It’s not unknown they’ve said Dexter lives
lol we got flashbacks in the original series though
Where is Michael C Hall

Wheres captain Matthews
Hopefully the don’t butcher the ender for a third time.
Imagine they butcher the start and nail the ending this time.
Oh the endings gonna suck lol
Im freakin NUTS about DEXTERRRRRR
I’m watching Dexter right now. How you know 😐
Me too. I have searched YT for vids on Dexter, tho’.
We'll never tell!
I dont know why the hell they are creating a prequel instead
A original show unrelated to the original dexter and do every thing right this time
O god, we’re doing this again?
lets hope they forget about vogel and act like shes not cannon, if they add vogel to this then dexter will be counted as sci fi
But wse didnot have the end of News blood 😢
Wanna see a show that won’t be popular and will get canceled almost immediately? Try Dexter original sin.
Except I don’t think they are aiming for multiple seasons so it’s fine.
@@unknowngamer9566exactly… they just giving us something to watch till Resurection realeases
Everyone knows, Its over.
@ what’s over?
@@unknowngamer9566 it’s already over…
I can in no way see this succeeding. Should of happened immediately after Dexter ended.
It's really for the new audience
The original dexter already told us his origin story. This is a COLOSSAL waste of time, effort, and money.
Are mere channel monetize karvati😅❤
