I believe the subwoofer option is key. The speakers in a TV simply have no way to reproduce lower frequencys, which is where the fullness of sound comes from.
@AudioAdvice I still have an very old AV receiver 5x100W sinus (still without HDMI, only Toslink with limited old 5.1 codecs). Plus large Canton floorstanding speakers from the Ergo series and Ergo rear speakers. I never bought a center (for optical reasons about such an ugly loudspeaker in front of me). I also never needed a subwoofer because of the good bass from the floorstanding speakers. The problem of the AV Receiver from year 1998 is the meanwhile limitation of sound codecs, I think. Incidentally, the old AV receiver also has no acoustic calibration. Now a revision of a new TV is on the agenda. I would also like to replace the audio system. The new sony TVs also have the possibility of beeing a center speaker. Would it be a step backwards to swap a good soundbar (e.g. Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 8/9 + rear speakers + woofer) for the floorstanding speakers and sell them? The room is rather small/medium in size and I shouldn't completely bombard my neighbors with acoustics, which is why I already have the night mode almost always active. With a soundbar mounted direct under the tv on the wall, I generally have concerns about the soundbar-side speakers, as we have the 55"/65" TV hanging direct on the wall above a sideboard and there are larger cabinets to the left and right of the TV, which frame the TV (1.3ft inside). That would probably clash a bit with the side speakers of soundbars, wouldn't it? Sony's Theatre Quad with the 2 front speakers on the outside in place of the floorstanding speakers outside of the cabinets would certainly be the better choice in terms of acoustics, wouldn't it? What would be the smartest? Get rid of everything old including floorstanding speakers? And put in a new audio system? A soundbar despite the spatial limitations of the acoustics of the side soundbar speakers? Or a system like the Sony Theatre Quad? Or simply a more modern new AV receiver? And keep the floorstanding speakers? Use the TV as a center... But this variant would not support virtual 3D Sound from above...

Can you please shed some light on the right pc because my pc doesn't have optical output. It has 3 3.5 mm Jack on the back side of the motherboard and it has a bluetooth, gpu I am using rtx 2060.
