- GaMetal returns to Chaos Angel from Sonic Advance 3, this time for a full version featuring all 3 acts!
The first time I did this song was in the original Sonic Fan Medley. It's since become one of my favorite Sonic songs, and probably even my favorite Gameboy Advance song.
In an effort to answer everyone's requests to do more non-Genesis Sonic, I pit this song against Egg Dragoon in the latest Discord Request Battle and it won 67 to 44. But don't worry Egg Dragoon fans, I'll get around to that one sometime later. :)
All 3 Chaos Angel acts are included in this remix. Enjoy!

@@ultralowspekken if you played the game a hell of a lot like I did and some others knuckles and tails won that stage for you, you just needed to be careful.

@@MitchJustChill did I play it enough? 100% 3 times, reset twice the cartridge. Gold on every level at least twice, for a period I knew every damn stage and shortcut by heart. Hell I also beat the emerald stage gauntlet minigame secret in the menu
@@ultralowspekken same here although the ice boss level still was a pain, could do everything else but that one boss kicked my ass lmao.

The Sonic Advanced Series is such an overlooked Trilogy of games. But they really felt like the classics with a bit of originality added, glad to see such a good cover!
my only problem with them is that because of the small screen sometimes you'd run into an enemy without any time to react
I thats almost every 2D sonic game but Sonic Advance 2 to is full of dick moves even for sonic standards
Ty Martin that was really only a problem in advance 2&3
every 2D sonic games since 2 have you run into enemies out of nowhere,2's aquatic ruins and metropolis are the worst offenders
暗夜 Darkness true, but in the classic games the field of view was much larger, so that happened a lot less (at least to me)

No, seriously, THANK YOU. This was by far my favorite track out of the entire Advanced series, and it ranks right up there in all of the Sonic tracks. I've wanted somebody to do a proper cover of Act 1 or 3 for years. You went above and beyond, and you made it sound absolutely KICK. ASS.

@@the_lyden I thought those larger versions of the Chaos Emeralds (in Sonic 3 & Knuckles) were called "Hyper Emeralds" because they allowed Sonic to become Hyper Sonic.

NO LIE...I downloaded Sonic Advance 3 on my emulator this morning then I got the notification for this song. SO WEIRD!!! I dont think a freak occurance will ever happen like this again.

Quite the opposite.
More like just the lack of one altogether, sound on the GBA was all processed by CPU which would explain why usually sound samples are usually very low quality (aside from storage on the cartridges that is) and also why square waves, sawtooth waves, etc were widely used on GBA games. Only a few games used mostly sound samples for music like Kirby and the amazing mirror, a lot of songs there are made entirely with samples

This is beyond amazing. I think I would even consider this to be my favorite video game cover of all, and that's not an exaggeration. You did such a great job covering one of my favorite, and completely underrated, Sonic songs (or sets of songs, in this case), and you've captured the intensity and epic vibe perfectly, and the shredding is phenomenal. I've already played this countless times while driving in my car, and a lot of my friends have been listening to this as well, and I think it's going to stay at the top of my playlists for a long time to come. Amazing job!

Chaos Angel is one of my favourite stages & stage themes within the Advance trilogy, so it’s amazing to hear a metal render of all 3 acts!
And the hardest level in the trilogy. 😬
Advance 3 was actually me first Sonic game, along with Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Now since I know more about the series, Chaos angel feels more like an evil version of Sky Sanctuary.

This cover makes it all the more intense, and I love it.

THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH FOR REMIXING THIS ZONE ITS ONE OF MY FONDEST MEMORIES GROWING UP. what really made me love choas angel even more than the intense bad ass music playing in the background was the fact that you could feel that this was THE ULTIMATE zone the final test to prepare you for the final boss and 11 year old me loved the idea of using everything I've learned from this game to beat this zone, which was extremely difficult.
You're like a one man power metal band! This was freaking epic! Great work! Loved that it was a medley of all the acts.

This is fantastic! I loved this stage as a kid (don't ask why, because I don't know). The music was my favorite part, and this remix does it so much justice.
My favorite act theme has always been act 2, and so great in this remix. Though listening to it, I get some Metroid vibes in it, especially with that first strum. Don't know why, it just reminds of that.

Incredible work as always, I have fond memories of playing this game. Bosses were stupid in places, but overall, great game. And this is easily the highlight of the soundtrack.

This masterpiece almost brought me to tears, as I beat this game at a very young age (8 years old I think) and my original cart along with other things got stolen when I was in middle school. This music brings back so many good memories I had of this difficult yet beautiful game.

I just wanna say that I thought that you went nuts on the original rendition of this in the Fan Medley. But I think this timeframe (5:41-6:00) explains how much you've CLEARLY improved not just since 2014 but even since the beginning of this year. Okay, hearing that bass in the opening _really_ makes me want to hear you do Lightning Battle from Kid Icarus: Uprising!
If he can pull it off, that bass is totally nuts. I remember him saying he wants to get to it at some point, but the bass in the beginning is holding him back.
I didn't know what to expect since I don't remember hearing the original song, but I certainly didn't expect this masterpiece. Damn!
