🙋🏻‍♀️Ahoj! I just got back from a wonderful 8 days in Czechia! My husband was competing on the USA team at The World Masters Championships ball hockey at the rink in Nove Straseci & Kladno. We used the public transportation when not traveling on the team bus. I used the subway & bus system myself from our hotel by the airport to see the Prague Castle & it was very safe & easy! I can’t wait to come back! I am in love with all the beauty from the city of Prague to the country side. I absolutely loved this trip ! And so many very good outdoor cafes!❤️ September is perfect weather for visiting!
    Nashledanou!

I'm starting to make some videos about my life in Prague. My video showing you a rainy day in Prague was posted yesterday. My videos won't be advice style, more like just showing you bits of Prague from my day. I hope you'll consider watching. Have a great day xxx

As a shameless plug, if you want to stay outside the city center in a place that will treat you like family, stay at Svatojansky Dvůr hotel. When I was an expat in Brno over the past two year, including Covid times, I frequented this hotel. After my first visit, I would never stay anywhere else. They treated me like family each time and I will never forget them

Amazing video! Thank you for showing beautiful Prague in this unique way. I was born in Czechoslovakia (the Slovak part), now living in USA. But I am thinking about moving back, in fact I am sure of it that I will move back. I visited Prague many times and I never visited Vinohrady. I will put it on my list. I have always been proud of my homeland, but you make me even more proud. And what is a bummer, you making me miss my homeland even more. I LOVE all your videos. I never want them to end :o)

Každopádně jsi skvělá a snad si budu jednou moci poprosit o selfie :) HAVE A NICE DAY

Just happened to see this video and now I am back in time when I moved to Czechia in 2014. By accident, I got my first flat on Manesova and so was able to enjoy the JZP area, markets and shops. My favorite ''local,'' Le Caveau, was a must almost daily, sitting in my favorite chair behind the front door. Then I found a fabulous flat on Safarikova filled with antiques. It was the same rent as any there and the owners said no one had wanted it because it was not full of IKEA decor. I taught English part time and my favorite small town was Kolin, one hour from Prague by train. I also was amazed how quick and easy it was to go to other cities by train: Berlin, Budapest, Dresden (''we're there already?''') but no train to Paris!! The dream came to an abrupt end in March, 2020, when I was lucky to find a flight out (the Czech government gave free tickets home to American university students). I walked out of my flat leaving all my furniture, clothes, books, paintings, glass and porcelain collections, but worst of all friends and students, with no way to say goodbye. But I will return someday. PS Look online at IWAP-an international club for women, which you may want to join.

Next, you should make a video about Cernosice, the town south of Prague on the way to Karlstejn. It has a great laid back atmosphere, beautiful vilas, a jazz club, a cycle path, Berounka river, singing birds, and even a beach! You picked the right neighborhood for this vid & your stay in Prague: The right amount of tourists (practically none), beautiful streets (and mostly calm), and quite a few parks. For me as a Prague citizen, Vinohrady would also be my choice #1 for living. But can’t afford it. Still, streets and parks are for everybody and they are free, so we can always just go there, walk there, and enjoy the late 19th century buildings and lots of trees. Also cafés and restaurants (although those are not free :)

Altan above Wineyard was burned out torso that was out of the reach for anyone. It is nice to see, how much this city has changed in relatively short time. This video is kind of bittersweet to watch. The district used to be your usual part of Prague. But 10, 15 years ago rents have been unregulated and tons and tons of locals moved away and it transformed Vinohrady in a major way. Still beautiful, but the genius loci really changed. Great tour.

@@aaalllaaannniiisss deregulation is bad, since they can get to levels in which they are totally too high for the local wages... you need to earn 3 or 4x the local minimum wage to pay a rent there... and if you wanna buy a flat, well, then you need to pay it until the end of your life, at least some 30y...
There needs to be a limit... some people pay 700€ monthly for a studio, that is robbery. And that drives locals away, and it's been happening all over Europe, and not only....
Vinohrady is beautiful, no doubt, but this neighbourhood and neighbourhing Vrsovice (where the Grebovka park seen in the video is) and Zizkov have become too gentrified...

@@linogalveias regulation is exactly the reason why the prices are that way here. Rigid and slow bureaucratic processes halting the building industry at the worst time (record low interest rates on mortgages and record high stock markets pushing people who fear the bubble into real estate investing) is why the prices are so high relatively to local incomes.

Občas stačí zahnout do neznamé uličky.

be careful what u wish for. too much tourists is annoying and it makes all businesses tourism oriented i.e. lots of overpriced scam and tourist traps.

Praha je jedno z nejzelenějších měst Evropy. Ne. Spousta našich měst si Prahu strčí v klidu do kapsy. Nejvíc zelěně z rozlohy by měl mít Děčín (63%).

Oni sami říkají : "my nemáme v našem městě parky, ale město v parku."

A když zmiňujete Vary, koukněte cca 8km vedle - Ostrov nad Ohří. Úžasný park, založený v 17. století, klidová zóna hned za tescem a paneláky - Natura 2000, kde žijí i pandemitské druhy........ Úžasná zeleň přímo ve městě mezi tzv. činžáky atd. Stačí kliknout na mapy (třeba Google) a hodit tam pohled z letadla. Budete překvapeni.
