  • This machine is a 1800 watt 14" electric saw that produces 4500 rpms and can cut up to 5" deep. It weighs just less than 20 pounds so ergonomically easy on the user. It does produce up to 105 decibels when cutting so wear your ear protection. We show the portable water unit with it as well. We like this machine. This video was created by www.seattletoolrental.com

    Per the directions:
Clean by rinsing with clean water. High pressure or not, clean it. I would be careful regardless.
Unplug and place the machine with rear handle facing upwards.
Rinse the air intakes at the rear handle with clean water. The water will run out through the front air outlets.
Connect the plug and run the engine dry for 30 seconds to speed up the drying of the engine (if it is dry out, I think this step is optional). Rinsing the blade housing probably goes without saying.

On the husqvarna video about cleaning the saw, it shows them blasting water into the saw for cleanup and then running the saw for 30 seconds to dry it out. What's the correct way?

They should have made this in a 12" model to get more torque. Maybe a 240v saw could do it.

+David Sanders Ya, I think the problem is access to 110 is so common. The machine cuts and does the job: interestingly enough, it does have a limiter so you do not blow breakers all the time, meaning, the engine begins to stutter and cut out when you push it too hard. At first I was puzzled but have grown to like it as it keeps you from abusing the machine or boring up brushes/engine.

+Scott Awaywithit ... but water is great for heat friction reduction and less dust. Compromises. Thanks for the comment.
