    The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is a revered pilgrimage circuit that includes four sacred shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Pilgrims from all over India and beyond undertake this journey to seek spiritual solace and blessings. The yatra usually starts in late April or early May and continues until Diwali in October/November.
    Char Dham Yatra Itinerary
    Here is a typical itinerary for the Char Dham Yatra:
    Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar
    Activity: Arrive in Haridwar, attend the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.
    Overnight: Haridwar
    Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot
    Distance: Approx. 220 km (7-8 hours)
    Route: Haridwar - Dehradun - Mussoorie - Barkot
    Activity: Drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie.
    Overnight: Barkot
    Day 3: Barkot to Yamunotri and back to Barkot
    Distance: 36 km drive + 6 km trek (one way)
    Route: Barkot - Janki Chatti - Yamunotri
    Activity: Drive to Janki Chatti and trek to Yamunotri. Take a dip in the Yamuna River and visit the Yamunotri Temple.
    Overnight: Barkot
    Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi
    Distance: Approx. 100 km (4-5 hours)
    Route: Barkot - Uttarkashi
    Activity: Drive to Uttarkashi, visit the Vishwanath Temple.
    Overnight: Uttarkashi
    Day 5: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi
    Distance: 100 km (one way)
    Route: Uttarkashi - Gangotri
    Activity: Drive to Gangotri, take a dip in the sacred Bhagirathi River, visit the Gangotri Temple.

    Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

    Route: Uttarkashi - Guptkashi
    Activity: Drive to Guptkashi, en route visit Tehri Dam.

    Route: Guptkashi - Joshimath - Badrinath

    Day 10: Badrinath to Rudraprayag

    Route: Badrinath - Rudraprayag
    Activity: Visit Mana Village (the last village before the Tibet border) and then drive to Rudraprayag.
