I think the developers are afraid that they will never live up to their first success, and they are caught in a psychological trap, where it will never be perfect enough.
no they said that they enjoy making the game and just keep adding new stuff so they are confident about the game and they know it will live up to the expectations so yeah the game is ready they just keep adding stuff thats it
There’s actually an explanation to this: Hollow Knight was made on a very tight budget, which caused a lot of content to unfortunately be cut, and forced Team Cherry to release the game without everything they wanted to add in. But now that they actually have a good amount of money, they’re able to add as much to Silksong as they want, hence why it’s taking so long. So I highly doubt they’re struggling that much, I just think they’re putting a lot of thought into making it the best game it can possibly be. Side note: According to someone who was lucky enough to meet with Team Cherry, they said they were along the lines of “testing” the game. This hopefully means that they aren’t adding any new content to the game anymore, at least not that much, and are focusing on ironing out any flaws in the code. Ari Gibson also expressed his desire to get the game out soon, so they are definitely trying their best to get it released in due time.
I heard team cherry also had to make a bigger map because hornet is taller than the knight and the little things I know about game development is that making art and deciding mechanics is hard
TOTK was considered in "development hell" before we got release date news and it stuns me it is considered to be on par if not better than botw anyway hopefully silksong is being taken of great! Can't wait to play it when it releases! I'll keep on waiting.

When you spend 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for 2 years making a game, it will be VERY hard to make a game as good or better than it. I completely understand why they are delaying silksong. Voidheart was a huuuuge success, its praised for its arts, story, music, parkour, exploring, and especially the combat, so making a game with all of those things WITH the weight of millions of impatient fans is very overwhelming. I think silksong could very well be released in 10 minutes if they decided to but they want to make it meet the fans' expectations

I think theyre just taking their time. Hollow knight is a masterpiece and sliksong just needs to be similar in some aspects to be even better. It has great music (we know that because Christopher larkin is amazing and never disapoints us) The artstyle is the same The exploration style is similar That are already some base similiarities. And looking at the trailer i already know the game is going to be great. If they took inspiration from hollow knight and redid what was praised in it for silksong, but in another way theyre good to go. I dont think that hollow knight was a gem, because the qualities of the game we're very fitting or they had luck with it. People really have to chill, games, especially games this large take a very long time to make, omori took so long people thought it was fake and obviously it came out a masterpiece. Just because it doesn’t hit deadlines or has to be delayed (which is kinda a nebulous topic since xbox and nintendo seem to be pressuring tc into releasing it from what I’ve seen) doesn’t mean it’s in development hell, hytale is in a similar state but with a longer announcement phase and it’s gotten delayed too but is still on track to hit all it’s goals! Wait a bit and let the devs dev, even making a 2d ground and a 2d square that will walk and collide with that ground properly can take days
if you are a fan og harry potter.. you would know the disappointment of a game being push out and delayed for 4 years!! but the wait was worth it… so everyone who is inpatient. just don’t understand how art takes place.. yes they try to give is a timeframe.. but then they get a better idea to make the game even more awesome = we have to wait longer… but it worth the wait… people who are inpatient, just need to chill out… and just spend their time doing something else, then crying about the game not coming out faster…

No. Team cherry is three people. It took about 3 years To make hollow knight. It's been about 3 years since silk song was announced and it's going to be a bigger game.The problem is the media hypes everything and you don't know how to keep yourself entertained in the meantime.
