Since you are finished, I hope the end of this series made you want to read. Becuace like everybody already told you, this is by far the best adaption, but even this leaves out a lot of manga stuff, that is cool and necessary.
There actually isn't a reactor that I know of who's done a full Berserk Reaction from start to finish. Usually they stop after the first season and a few never finish it. One started the 2016 reaction but there was never an original series reaction. If you do finish the entire animated version I believe you would be the first to do so.
I would say its because most people are told to avoid the movies and 2016/2017 anime because they suck. The movies were cool but yeah, for a good reason they are avoided.
@@TheNerdyverse i mean, its up to you dude. Personally, I would watch the memorial edition up to the end and then start the manga but don’t let me stop you if you want to the watch 2016 anime first, even if it skips a while arc. Just prepare yourself for alot of CLANG.
It would be great to see you react to the 2016 and 2017 series. I know the newer anime is controversial for the CGI and it's Manga cut content but it's still really good and worth watching. Though the manga is preferable if you aren't a reader or prefer video over visuals like me then it's worth finishing. Definitely hope you enjoy the series and I look forward to watching your reactions
There was no controversial about the 2016/2017 adaption. It was just bad. I guess it would be interesting to see someone react to it but it was just not good at all. I have consumed everything Berserk.
There honestly isn't any animation of Berserk that's worth watching over reading the manga. I'm the farthest thing from a manga snob, but it's the only way to experience Berserk.
@@TheNerdyverse oh for sure, I'm not trying to dissuade you from continuing the series, just suggesting that at some point in your life you read it because it's worth the investment! Sorry I came across that way.
@@TheNerdyverse just to provide additional context for questions you're gonna have if you get into any of the other berserk animations, the movie trilogy you mentioned covers the same portion of the story as the 90s series (the second arc of the story called The Golden Age). It leaves out some extremely important bits unfortunately such as the Campfire of Dreams chapter and Wounds chaptersand it doesn't take time to build the characters of the Band of the Hawk outside of the core three. But the trilogy does include some very key parts of the story that are left out of the 90s series, such as the reason Guts has a fear of being touched (it's very graphic and adult, be warned), along with key characters such as Skull Knight. The first episode of the 90s series is a glimpse of Berserks very first arc, The Black Swordman arc, but it leaves out one of the most important Berserk characters, Guts' elf companion Puck, and the guardians of desire sub-arc. The 2016-2017 series will do more harm than good by watching. The story is just completely wrong, a weird mishmash of events that don't happen in the right order and none of it makes sense. The animation is 3D, stiff, and honestly terrible. I wouldn't tell anyone to watch that, they're just going to get a skewed, misinformed, and all around bad perception of Berserk.
@@raincloud1313 to summarize: 1997 anime = golden age arc 3 movies = golden age arc but across 3 movies memorial edition = the 3 movies of the golden age cut into episodes 2016 onwards = after golden age

Oh I will be indeed - gonna do Memorial first, then 2016 and then manga :)
@@TheNerdyverse nice. looking forward for the reactions, memorial has some good stuff too and 2016 is a nice big meme :D

Totally understandable but I’m enjoying at the minute 😊 hopefully they completely do the anime adaptation again. Imagine if someone like MAPPA got it
