  • These pop-doom metalheads enlist the help of a few talented luthiers to bring their guitars to life, while Nuñez takes the DIY route to craft his own brand of amps and stompboxes.

    On the heels of their fifth album, 2019’s Admission, Torche hit the road for an extensive tour that started out having the harmonious doomers open for Baroness before venturing out for their own headlining sets. We fortunately caught the band on the latter run and guitarist Jonathan Nuñez (who also has served as the band’s bassist for 13 years and producer/engineer for Admission) spoke to PG’s Chris Kies about he and Steve Brooks’ slim setups that center around custom-made, metal-neck instruments and explains why he started Nuñez Amplification, which has become a big part of the band’s sonorous sonic imprint.

    Their separate tones compliment each other so well but I immediately recognized Steve's - so rich and wooly! Would've appreciated Steve going through his stuff but Nunez is a great representative either way.

      @PeterDad60 4 года назад +11

      Not in America. Anyway, words are only language and language is used to communicate. So the subtle differences in the way people may say certain words is meaningless. As long as we grasp the meaning of the words correctly it matters not ow we articulated them!

      @goobtuber That's not true, lol, modern English emerged in the 14th century, and middle English and old English, neither of which are too different to understand pretty quickly, has been around since the 5th century. Britain has pubs older than your country.
