    I wonder if the treatment he received in Japan led him into a different direction? It is very hard for a foreigner to be treated equally in Japan.

      christschool That's an interesting thing to consider Not in the exact same way, my 'experiences' also shaped my direction but I don't think I've consciously thought about it.

      From his work, it seems it was a very influential experience. He said another guy went there with him and was sent home because his tools were not in good shape. I remember him mentioning using a timer on some tasks.
