I said this in another post but....
probably to keep the illusion they did not leave. Losing Widowmaker and Reaper will obvious cause issues for Talon gaining support and recuitment. This will also make people question Talon current structure if Widowmaker and Reaper willingly left them.
Well yeah that's how propaganda works, they're not gonna tell the world that their 3 most known and deadliest agents have left. It's like the Seven in the Boys pretending everything's fine.
and the thing is not only reaper, sombra wasn't strictly tied to talon while i espected widowmaker to remain loyal, but i like she left

@retaRkmemez well Widowmaker's brainwashing that made her who she is was tied more to the old Talon way. Not to mention there were signs that the brainwashing was losing its effect on her. The way Talon is heading in their new direction goes against the Talon that she was brainwashed to be loyal to and now adding on her growing belief with the old brainwashing slowly weakening. I am not surprised she left since at this point the old Talon she was programmed to be loyal to is gone and more of her old self is also returning.
Sombra on the other hand is no surprise since they established she was preparing emergency escape plans to get out during her first introduction if things goes wrong with Talon in anyway.
I think Talon had more funding than Overwatch.
I mean... yeah, one is a Global Scale criminal organization, the other is a videogame... like, what did you expect?

The 2 was always an unnecessary addition and it was always basically the same game, but the fact they're resetting the seasons technically makes this Overwatch 3 now...haha

@namedless Tbf they got the Deadlock gang, Emre/Chernobog, Freja, and Domina in return. Emre alone is kind of a huge trade off with his connection to one of the god AIs. Add in some of the 5 additional heroes that will no doubt side with Talon and they came away with more than they lost. I'm sure Reaper, Sombra, and Widow will rendezvous with Doomfist to form their own separate faction or to reclaim Talon if the recent leaks are anything to go by.
Man, I really hope this is a permanent reawakening to their lore roots and good updates, getting a small hint of the OG OW that made me excited, so Imma give it another shot with this update, hopefully it manages to pick itself back up
