It's during the big battle at the end, not sure exactly were but its only on screen for a couple of seconds and they're small but you can make them out from the colors and hair.
@ShinYStudioZ The 1/72 scale version is my favorite of the three scales, it's delicate being a model kit but still very nice. it's also a fun kit to build but time consuming, but worth the effort. Shine for After Effects, is the base of the light effect, but there some other layering stuff going with blurs and colour hues.
@pinoi78 All's good... have a pre-ordered in for the VF-25F Alto Renewal ver; don't know about any of the others, at the moment I'm undecided. Need to see it first before making up my mind. Actually watching you're review of the YF-29, got mine this week to! :D
It's the hardest kit I've built because the parts are small, but otherwise it's not very hard. More down to free time and wanting to do it as well as I can.
They sell it a number of ways on it's own or with VF-25S Ozma, but I don't think the 1/60 scale has been released only the 1/72nd. Check out somewhere like HLJ d.o.t com to see what out there then shop around if you're interested.
There's an inlay included in the box with a picture of the boost pack but I don't understand the Japanese, there's a number 3 in the text... maybe March??? But I don't know.
@firerzero There is a version 2 of this toy due later in the year (Macross Frontier Movie 2 tie-in)... don't know exactly when, but this will be getting a re-issue.
dear wizartar, thank you so much for the video!! i'm a newie with macross model so i have few questions for you: the VF25 is made only by Bandai? instead VF1 is made by Yamato also, wich is the best in your opinion? thanks in advance!!! Ciao
this is bad ass. im more of a 1/60 PG Gundam fan but i definitely want one of these. did you paint this or did you just applied decals? also does it require any screws to assemble?
@legonakonow Just means they HLJ can't get new stock from their suppliers, so mark it as discontinued. With a new movie in February there will be another release of the Vf-25 series! Most lightly Bandai are working away on a V2 just to get all the hardcore fans buying more VF-25s
Yo! wizartar... would you agree if i tell you that in my opinion.. The VF-25 model Valkyrie is more based on a Sokhoi-30 Mk2 or the SU-35 than the F-14...
Thankfully my purchase of one is rock solid, the only problem is that one of mine's shoulders are a tad too loose for my liking. With a new Macross movie coming out, comes new Macross toys and let's hope that Bandai fixes the problems the initial releases have. I'm only going to purchase protagonist's VF due to the overly high price tag of theirs.
Mightn't be that month as they have a 1/100 Alto coming out then. I'd say they'll wait till they have most of the line out. Or time it with the up coming movie for a second push.
so i'm guessing that the 1/60 vf-25 is a lot smaller than the 1/60 yamato. then again i expect that since it's an improvement technology show wise. care to post me a pic.
Which version do you think would be best for both display use, ease of transformation, and durability? I'm seriously considering buying one of these and would like to know.
omg Ive been waiting for this for like 2 months xD and I have to say that im a little disapointed :S it looks kinda flopy and fragyle but in overal I think its worth it :D keep it up!
This one's called Alto-custum cuz it's the Character's name >.> the other seems to play omage to the Skull squdran in the anime so it could just be called Skull special or Ozuma Special.
Right people, rollcall... Is there too much Panning / Zooming in this one for your taste??? Let me know! If you don't like that style I'll cut it back a bit, it's not going to go away. But I'll put a leash on it.
Mr wizartar I got it..was that the 1/60 DX Chogokin Macross VF-25F Messiah Valkyrie Alto ???it was $159.....is it worth T_T i want it badly but the price eeeek XD
Ic, good for u. I know the neck is a pain to transform but once transform to robot mode. I find it hard to pose the head in any position because the ball join in mine seems to be lose. =( Maybe I should put some nail polish in it. =/
Yeah, about that... it would take like 5 minutes just to explain how to do the head! I've transformed it 7 times now and each time the head ends up somehow sitting differently!?!
I know, I saw it Just replying to someone else calling it "The other alto custom" xp i'm having trouble figuring out which one I'd like.. Cuz i like the designs on both, the cyclops eye on the Skull squadran leader slightly but the colour scheme seems a little dark x.x
Ah, mine's arriving in 3 days! Can't wait to get my hands on it and do a review.
This isn't a kit but a completed model. The 1/72 scale is the snap kit, which is pretty cool. It has both water decals & stickers. No screws.
I'm very envious right now. now to wait for the armored packs.
Very good details mate. Excellent review with superd HD quality. Thanks !
Wow, perhaps you're the best reviewer of model kits I've ever watched in utube!
The 1/60 is the only scale worth my gold! :D
Drool... Cant wait for the transformation vid!
Cool, I've only recently discovered your channel and it's Great! Looking forward to your review.
It's during the big battle at the end, not sure exactly were but its only on screen for a couple of seconds and they're small but you can make them out from the colors and hair.
This piece is simply astounding, but if a piece gets too astounding, problems arise in terms of quality control and design.
Comes assembled, it's the 1/72 scale that's a snap kit
True, there's also a lot of the YF-19 + SV-51 in there to. I hope cover that in another review, there's only so much you can fix into 11 minutes.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much! Your review of the figure was extremely well done in my opinion and paced pretty well. Good overview of the figure. (^.^)
Thank god I didn't get this one in the first place, pre-ordered the renewal version.
Miss your videos bro... And i am hopeing that alll is well for you
There is a VF-25S Armour Parts due in June and the FAST pack I think is out now or due very soon.
@ThomasAtlus The VF-25 DX is the best all-round choice in terms of looks and durability.
thats still pretty cool. do you have any video reviews on the 1/72 VF-25S Messiah Ozuma kit?
@henshinjedi1985 Yes, right in front of the 1/48 is the 1/60 scale Vf-1A figure and that is the same size at the VF-1J 1/60 so you have a comparison
@pinoi78 All's good... have a pre-ordered in for the VF-25F Alto Renewal ver; don't know about any of the others, at the moment I'm undecided. Need to see it first before making up my mind.
Actually watching you're review of the YF-29, got mine this week to! :D
I still haven't finished building the VF-25S 1/72 scale snap kit.
@ShinYStudioZ I bought it a couple weeks ago from Overdrive, and it comes with the Super Pack and stand!
Hobby Link Japan (HLJ) has Ozma in stock at the minute, but Alto appears to be discontinued.
and also that valkyrie in Macross Zero the one with delta wings... i dont see a video review on that one in youtube
Yes, I hope to. But am not sure about the correct head transformation at the moment.
Well HobbyLink Japan have it listed for November and with the movie due on the 21st Nov, it could be around then or maybe December.
Is there a version that comes with the armored packs?
@henshinjedi1985 It is the VF-1J but the 1/48 scale
Does it come with the plane, or is that sold separately?
It's the hardest kit I've built because the parts are small, but otherwise it's not very hard. More down to free time and wanting to do it as well as I can.
They sell it a number of ways on it's own or with VF-25S Ozma, but I don't think the 1/60 scale has been released only the 1/72nd. Check out somewhere like HLJ d.o.t com to see what out there then shop around if you're interested.
There's an inlay included in the box with a picture of the boost pack but I don't understand the Japanese, there's a number 3 in the text... maybe March??? But I don't know.
I was wondering if your copy of the figure has a lose neck join which makes the head a little floppy?
Hey, Wiz, you know what episode Roy and Hikaru are in? I don't remember them anywhere, but then, I was reading the subs the whole time....
If you got the saotome alto custom and removed the extra parts would it be the same as this? I like the look of this one more..
@legonakonow Just means they HLJ can't get new stock from their suppliers, so mark it as discontinued.
With a new movie in February there will be another release of the Vf-25 series! Most lightly Bandai are working away on a V2 just to get all the hardcore fans buying more VF-25s
just want to ask wizartar... in macross frontier what is that model valkyrie bieng used by the U.N military???
Will you be doing a transformation video?
really interested in this!!! i heard that this is a chogokin. what is the metal content in this model?
The one used by Alto after the Macross quarter go AWOL??? can u do a review on that one?
Hey Wizartar, one thing I caught in your review that made me curious: where does Roy and Hikaru show up in Frontier?
in the last picture is that the 1/60 vf1J to the back left of it??
Yo! wizartar... would you agree if i tell you that in my opinion..
I'm only going to purchase protagonist's VF due to the overly high price tag of theirs.
roy and hikaru appear in what ep of macross frontier
They might, but it's going to be a long wait. Might as well play with something till then. XD
Options are kind of limited if you want a VF-25
No, had to skip that one. It was either the VF-25F Super or the Tornado Pack. Since I already have a Super for VF-25G I went for the Tornado.
The 1/72 is a model kit like Gunpla and you have to build it yourself. But the 1/60 is a toy so no assembly is required.
From Left to Right:
1/60 VF-1A Hikaru
1/48 VF-1J Hikaru
1/60 VF-25F Alto
1/60 YF-19 Isamu
1/55 VF-1J Hikaru
@firerzero Amiami, HLJ, Hobbysearch. Might be hard to find.
hi you will have no video of macross rvf-25 and I also have the VF-25 scale 1 / 72 but only in the box when you will have the overview
Hello, queria to ask, that differentiates has east model with the Yamato, also of scale 1/60. The wheels are of rubber?
Mightn't be that month as they have a 1/100 Alto coming out then. I'd say they'll wait till they have most of the line out. Or time it with the up coming movie for a second push.
@firerzero Which one do you like the look of most? That's normally the right one to get, since they are all the same.
where do you buy it, i'm interesed to buy the same you have
please tell me the site where do you buy ths valkyre alto custom
thanks for your help
@Wizartar i check the site they dont have more is there a another place i can get my self one?
I'm sure they do!
Macross Zero VF-0D, the only model I know of is the 1/72 fixed model kit from Hasegawa, that doesn't transformer.
hey Mr Wizartar Im crazy for this one...im lookin at amazon...what scale is that alto ??????????????
I don't know... it was for me. But that's something you'll have to make your own mind up on.
so i'm guessing that the 1/60 vf-25 is a lot smaller than the 1/60 yamato. then again i expect that since it's an improvement technology show wise. care to post me a pic.
Which version do you think would be best for both display use, ease of transformation, and durability? I'm seriously considering buying one of these and would like to know.
It looks like a shark! :D
What video editing software do you use?
hey i finally got my self my Vf 25 thx of the tips one quick question .can i used the 1/72 scale fast pack on my vf 1/60 scale?
Hey, where did you purchase yours? the site i use said its discontinued, but the last time i checked it said ozma's was discontinued.
omg Ive been waiting for this for like 2 months xD and I have to say that im a little disapointed :S
it looks kinda flopy and fragyle
but in overal I think its worth it :D
keep it up!
The head / neck join is a pain to transform and if not mounted right can be loss. But once transformed right, on mine at least, everything is tight.
@prime1924 You can get these from places like HobbyLink Japan or Amiami.
hey how does this thing look next to the Yamato 1/60 VF-1J?
ware can you get the VF-25f messiah alto custom bandai
@yuy136 LoL, Amiami, HLJ or Hobbysearch... if they have any in stock and price varies.
can you add the armor pack in the VF-25?
This one's called Alto-custum cuz it's the Character's name >.>
the other seems to play omage to the Skull squdran in the anime so it could just be called Skull special or Ozuma Special.
Can you open it's cockpit and remove the pilot figure like with yamato's?
Thanks
Is there any macross product that you can resist?
verary well then when i can buy this one then?
so wich is bether to get the one wiht the armor on it or this one?
were did you buy vf-25f
You should watch the last 3 seconds of this video, as I think you mightn't have seen what's after the Wizartar screen splash ;)
The 1/100 or the Model Kit???
Right people, rollcall... Is there too much Panning / Zooming in this one for your taste??? Let me know! If you don't like that style I'll cut it back a bit, it's not going to go away. But I'll put a leash on it.
Looks sexy XD
Love the Sukhoi Su-27 (real life counter-part)
True
Yeah, the front nose definitely does look a bit like the SU-35 but the whole part of the body is another design... thanks....
Nice!
Mr wizartar I got it..was that the 1/60 DX Chogokin Macross VF-25F Messiah Valkyrie Alto ???it was $159.....is it worth T_T i want it badly but the price eeeek XD
Cockpit opens but the figure won't come out, it's only a half figure, it has no legs.
I wonder how the hell this thing going forward in GERWALK mode. There is no thrust in the backpack like in the other valkyries
@WarhawkLegend69 All good, just busy with real life at the minute... house stuff.
Cool Man
@firerzero I believe so. But haven't tried.
I know, I saw it Just replying to someone else calling it "The other alto custom" xp i'm having trouble figuring out which one I'd like.. Cuz i like the designs on both, the cyclops eye on the Skull squadran leader slightly but the colour scheme seems a little dark x.x
