Parle was started by Mohan Lal Dayal who had “Swadeshi” influence and wanted to produce biscuits in India. His main goal was to provide biscuits to poor people also as biscuits made then were extremely costly and were imported. This was the time were Mohan Dayal went to Germany and learned the process of biscuit manufacturing. After learning this, Mohan Lal bought a factory and he and his family started working on it. After years of hard work they finally created the first pack of Parle-G. The name “Parle” comes from the place their factory was located “Vile Parle, Mumbai”

Parle Products began manufacturing biscuits in 1939. In 1947, when India became independent, the company launched an ad campaign, showcasing its Gluco brand of biscuits as an Indian alternative to British-branded biscuits. Parle-G biscuits were earlier called 'Parle Gluco' Biscuits until the 1980s.
The aim was to let all Indians have biscuits at lower price and also was an important factor against hunger too

That was extremely interesting. It just goes to show how certain products from other countries can become extremely popular in some other countries and the people of the country which manufactures the product may not be aware how popular they are in other countries.
For example, long before the instant noodle, "Wai Wai," was officially made available in India, or even Lotte's "Choco Pie," was officially launched in India, both products were available (meaning to say that they were imported) in the early 90's in some places in India such as certain North-Eastern states .

During lock down shops were closed and food marts were overcrowded with extremely long lines. I would stock up huge packets of Parle G as other things (flattened rice or semolina etc) were hard to find. It's the ultimate comfort food condiment with tea.

I see some Africans think that Indian companies and Indian people are Trying to dominate Their continent With their People and Product's
but i can assure we are not like America Europe or china
we are not there to capture
Whole world is our families. so it is our priority to give best to all people at affordability
