I visited the Dubai mall a couple times while I was in the service! I love the smell of the entire mall it’s so foreign and exotic then anything I’ve ever smelled before and so good!
I remember seeing my daughter watching videos on youtube of other kids going to Disneyland and thinking "what's so fun in watching that???". After watching this vid, I totally understand why now...

Nagarmotha is also called cypriol. It's kind of a smokey, vetiver-like vibe. Smells like artificial bacon bits to me, but not in an unpleasant way. Glad you're uploading again! :)

Yes, I recognized it, how could you resist buying one? I've never heard about this second line by the house before. Lalibela by Memo, have you tried it? I like it a lot, not at first sniff but the longer I see what's available since they launched it in 2007, the more I appreciate my Lalibela.
I'd want to wear it a full day on skin before spending $350... they might only last an hour on skin, or d develop in a bad way.. I am only getting first impressions there. I have tried it, I mentioned it in a video once to say it would be pretty on a woman,
I love the way japanese masters took the experience to the next level. I mean the whole package. You have a lovely flakon, the names sound like poetry and the presentation was top notch. You calm down while drinking tea and try to enjoy the work that was put into the bottles. That's a completly driffent experience from going into a overly crowded mall. That's the way how you can enjoy a perfume, when you have time on your hands.

I love how there's like hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of product just sitting around and the place is vacant. LOL Brilliant. Was anybody like, "hey buddy, are you doing some recon for an upcoming heist?" Or were they thinking - "nah, that guy doesn't have a bag so he can't steal too much..." LOL Really good video though Peter. Someone should have given you a scooter or Segway or something. Tons of info. Always great to get your unique perspective!

This was such a pleasure watching you on your fragrance adventure. Floraiku seems like a lovely (sub) brand. It's too bad it is so expensive. The presentation is just beautiful! I suspect the fragrances' quality and performance are not worth the price. Glad your travels were safe. Hopefully you will get more advanced notice before you have to fly out again. :)
That mall is crazy huge. I went to the Avenues Mall in Kuwait City and thought that place was cool....this place eclipses it 10 fold!!! Awesome video!!

How do you still smell anything after trying out so many perfumes? My nose starts to shut down around ten to fifteen. Is it training or do you just keep going? I would need a whole week or more to smell my way around that mall.
I sit and blend perfume and smell lots of oils, you just get used to it.. smelling blank empty skin helps clear it or a clean t-shirt though. I still get fatigue too, just takes a little longer now. Bare in mind the video is edited, I am not going straight from one to another, I have to walk across a mall to get to the next place, so your nose has breaks anyway
Brilliant review Peter. Only MFK I truly like is Oud. TF Vanille Fatale is ok to my nose but women really like it. Italian and African Leather are nice. Safe travels sir.
Wearing Umbrella for Two today....knew it would be a hit. I got the tiny travel size from Harrods in their online sale last week alongside Sound of a Ricochet which is beautiful too. They smell pure which sounds odd to say but I love that!:) Loving wearing Umbrella today though. I just said on insta it's as if I can smell two notes with a creamy base uniting them. Awesome on skin. Thanks for finding it. Now I'm behaving until my birthday in August.

Hi Peter. I ordered a sample of Black Sukar from luckyscent and smelled it. Smells exactly the same as the perfume Jabir from the Kemp blending magic line created by Sergio himself with extra vanilla added. Wanted to let you know this immediately.

Absolutely stunning video. Yes, there was more detailing in your video but as all perfumes have unique and elaborate presentations, so does your video. Question: How do you properly store perfume? Is there a video that perhaps I missed that you did on storing? Should a perfume bottle of $$price$$ be stored in it's own package like a diamond necklace be put away for safe keeping until it's ready for use? I see perfume as jewelry..and those elaborate cases $8000 dirham Wow !!!. Would it be possible one day to go into the psychology of the style of the perfume bottle..I know it's to attract but I believe there's more to it than that. I live in England where the climate is cool and steady... so mine are stored inside a bookcase, away from direct light. If you live in a really hot humid climate, it might better storing them in a cooling box, like a wine fridge. In general as long as it's away from direct sun slight, and rapid change in temperatures / humidity, then your perfumes are safe

I wasn't too taken with the city ones in general... my favourite from the whole collection was Britania, I thought was a nice blend, orris / violet with some sweetness and florals there. But it's way over priced, I'd never buy it at that price level...

Also I just realised I partly bought a fragrance lately because of a fresh banana scent it had lol Without just mashing a banana which is sweet mainly do you know a great perfume or oil of it. Gzus cryst, I never tought I gona find a crossover. I am a huge teahead, that is why Trillium was the first that I have blind bought from HOM right away when I have seen it on their site. But this Floraiku one seems like, they made a perfume house for me!! :O Too bad we do not have a chance to get samples right now, and the shipping is also quiet restrained at the moment....but I have e-mailed to them, I hope I can get a reassuring answer.

Hi, please I am trying to find an Arabic fragrance -sort of a copy of Clean Warm Cotton.I've never smelled anything like this ,this is the smell I want-pure,crisp,strong detergent smell but Clean lasts not that long..have you ever tried Clean? Can you think of anything similar? Thank you🤗
Try "Coton Egyptien" by Phaedon and maybe also "Bubble Bath" or even "Lazy Sunday Morning" by Maison Margiela from the Replica line, both of those will give you the vibes you're looking for.
If you're there, just ask someone that works there and they will point you in the right direction. There's also digital maps on display you can look at
I've smelled all of them already, not really my taste in general - I like Godolphin but I own Tuscan Leather... I'd recommend Oajan to others, but not myself, I used to own Habdan, but it started to smell like plastic to me
I don't like Oud Wood, there's no real oud in there, and it's got a lot of Cashmeran - Tuscan Leather is the only one I really enjoy from Tom Ford personally
Subliminals: 15:26 and 16:58 I think the reason there are no cameras in the stores is because if you steal anything in that country, they will publicly behead you; incentive enough for most people. Without a head attached to lungs, you can't smell anything, or at the very least it would be intensely cumbersome. The guy in the Xerjoff store wouldn't take his eyes off you. Funny stuff. So bizarre to see those high end frags in their own stores, and with no SA's around. Just, plain, bizarre. Both because they even exist like that, and because there's no one in them. And lastly, I don't think I've ever seen you like an entire line like that last one. Now I gotta try it. Cheers, thumbs up.
You really dont know what you're talking about. I live in that region and its not true. even if they technically have it written as a law, no one applies it. At most they will do jail time. In my country, qatar we dont even punish death by death unless the family asks for it, in the law you need to pay blood money but thats it. Also, There are cameras around the store. There are cameras everyone in richer gulf states like uae, kuwait, qatar.. legit no one can get away with anything cause cameras are all over the streets and public areas.
hello what gopro do you have as ive just bought a hero 2018, and is yours in a frame with hand held mini tripod or do you just hold it in your hand and pop on the shelves. it looks like you;re filming in 1080p wide view. and what video editing programme do you use, i'm in dubai 3 weeks time and i'll be in the mall again as its awesome especially my favourite aquarium.

Roger Dove doesn't actually make his perfume himself, he uses a company called Robertet, I flashed up their logo ;) - He's a creative director, not a perfumer. Mrs Press, The Guerlain logo was because a lot of his early works are copies from Guerlain, so when the sales assistant suggests that Roja is very different from all other brands, it's quite funny
FragranceView Roja worked for Guerlain didn’t he? I know people compare Diaghilev to Mitsouko; however, I find it more similar to Femme Rochas. Either way I’m not paying 10X the money for something so similar.

I have been to a Roja boutique. Not good .. nothing special at all . And the prices are bullshiet! I think Roja depends on the middle eastern market ! No offense or anything but easily fooled by the bling bling 😬😆 .
I remember, i tried once the most expensive perfume of roja dove which had a very strong jasmine note! It gave me the worst headache of my life. The fragrances doesent smell that bad but they are overpowered of certain perfume notes. And I dont like the aggressive price Marketing of Roja. . . .

My least favourite was Italian Leather, that tomato leaf kills me...
Yeah, likewise. Also tried some Rojas and loved them. Frederic Malle was also good; Musc Ravageur being my favourite.

Great video Peter, I've only been to Amsterdam airport since getting into fragrances and its selection panels in comparison to here!
yeah Amsterdam is a pretty small airport, the best airports for perfume are Doha and Istanbul
Satin mood isn't the most masculine fragrance indeed but damn that fragrance is a Masterpiece with capital M for sure, 1 spray and i'm bombarded with compliments everywhere i go , what are your thoughts on rojas haute luxe?.

Gzus cryst, I never tought I gona find a crossover. I am a huge teahead, that is why Trillium was the first that I have blind bought from HOM right away when I have seen it on their site. But this Floraiku one seems like, they made a perfume house for me!! :O Too bad we do not have a chance to get samples right now, and the shipping is also quiet restrained at the moment....but I have e-mailed to them, I hope I can get a reassuring answer.

Hi, please I am trying to find an Arabic fragrance -sort of a copy of Clean Warm Cotton.I've never smelled anything like this ,this is the smell I want-pure,crisp,strong detergent smell but Clean lasts not that long..have you ever tried Clean? Can you think of anything similar? Thank you🤗
Try "Coton Egyptien" by Phaedon and maybe also "Bubble Bath" or even "Lazy Sunday Morning" by Maison Margiela from the Replica line, both of those will give you the vibes you're looking for.

I've smelled all of them already, not really my taste in general - I like Godolphin but I own Tuscan Leather...
I'd recommend Oajan to others, but not myself, I used to own Habdan, but it started to smell like plastic to me

I don't like Oud Wood, there's no real oud in there, and it's got a lot of Cashmeran - Tuscan Leather is the only one I really enjoy from Tom Ford personally

Subliminals: 15:26 and 16:58 I think the reason there are no cameras in the stores is because if you steal anything in that country, they will publicly behead you; incentive enough for most people. Without a head attached to lungs, you can't smell anything, or at the very least it would be intensely cumbersome.
The guy in the Xerjoff store wouldn't take his eyes off you. Funny stuff.
So bizarre to see those high end frags in their own stores, and with no SA's around. Just, plain, bizarre. Both because they even exist like that, and because there's no one in them.

even if they technically have it written as a law, no one applies it. At most they will do jail time. In my country, qatar we dont even punish death by death unless the family asks for it, in the law you need to pay blood money but thats it. Also, There are cameras around the store. There are cameras everyone in richer gulf states like uae, kuwait, qatar.. legit no one can get away with anything cause cameras are all over the streets and public areas.

what gopro do you have as ive just bought a hero 2018, and is yours in a frame with hand held mini tripod or do you just hold it in your hand and pop on the shelves.
it looks like you;re filming in 1080p wide view. and what video editing programme do you use, i'm in dubai 3 weeks time and i'll be in the mall again as its awesome especially my favourite aquarium.
It's a GoPro Hero + 3 Black, and I hold it in my hand and prop it up on shelves, no case, no tripod
It's filming in 1080p Wide Angle, and I edit in Final Cut Pro X

Roger Dove doesn't actually make his perfume himself, he uses a company called Robertet, I flashed up their logo ;) - He's a creative director, not a perfumer.
Mrs Press, The Guerlain logo was because a lot of his early works are copies from Guerlain, so when the sales assistant suggests that Roja is very different from all other brands, it's quite funny
FragranceView Roja worked for Guerlain didn’t he? I know people compare Diaghilev to Mitsouko; however, I find it more similar to Femme Rochas. Either way I’m not paying 10X the money for something so similar.

Hi Peter. Did you ever get a chance to visit the Ramon Monegal perfume boutique when you visited the Dubai Mall ? I hear they have an exclusive perfume for Bloomingdales in Dubai mall and some people rave about it. Pls let me know if you got to try the perfumes from that house.

I have been to a Roja boutique. Not good .. nothing special at all . And the prices are bullshiet! I think Roja depends on the middle eastern market ! No offense or anything but easily fooled by the bling bling 😬😆 .

I remember, i tried once the most expensive perfume of roja dove which had a very strong jasmine note! It gave me the worst headache of my life.
The fragrances doesent smell that bad but they are overpowered of certain perfume notes. And I dont like the aggressive price Marketing of Roja. . . .
