I was at the 1983 Motor show in England when they first unveiled the Sierra. People gasped because it was so different. Ford UK combatted the publics initial revulsion by offering very attractive fleet vehicle deals to companies. Which got loads of them on the road so people got used to them. The rest is history! My Dad had the truck version called the P100. Great vehicle. But like all Fords in this climate, they liked to rust! Great vid Sir!
I think you mean the 1982 motor show. I had an 83 1.6L as my first "proper" car. I just recently bought an 88 Merkur XR4Ti but haven't got around to doing anything with it yet.
There was an XR4Ti at a recent Sema show you may want to check out. They painted it a newer ford color. Basically, it's a resto mod. I thought it looked good. These were always cool little cars. Great video
