I used to read 1 book at a time, but now I read 2-3 books a time. Not that I intentionally wanted to do it, but I realised that if I read only 1 book, I end up not reading it some days because I'm not in the mood to read it or because I'm too tired mentally to read a particular book. But when I have 2-3 books going at a time, I can switch to something else when my mood changes or when I'm tired, I can read something lighter.
I think my takeaway from this one hour is that I need to write down all that I mark in a book, creating a ‘notes’ bundle for myself. Although I already do it for poems. So for all the poems I stumble upon online, the ones I absolutely adore I write them down in a diary. In that diary I also make note of all that I watch and read throughout the year to have some sort of entry I can revisit in a very tangible form. Glad to know I am not the only one w a dedicated drawer for all things tangible like boarding passes, tickets, hotel room cards, letters et al
I also recently attended a talk between Shrayana Bhattacharya and Twinke Khanna where Khanna talked about how books are meant to be loved and lived and not worshipped, and that changed my philosophy towards book keeping. I won’t tolerate anyone else messing w my copy but I’m allowed to treat it in anyway that pleases me.
Man the amount of passion and motivation Vaibhav has.✨💜 And Pathik's memory of Sher's and shayaris and the ability to fetch from the memory. Like I want it too(but for now I can't make so many notes around what I have read😅).
I once donated a book for a blind book date or something like that but the book was a pirated cope and I was feeling bad how someone will feel if they get a pirated copy. So, for that I wrote a handwritten note in it made some origami flowers placed them in between the pages placed a hand-made bookmark. And now I feel that I've put a part of me in the book and now that book is special. It may become a tangible memory for someone.

I read many books but while looking back ,i hardly remembered their stories in depth or their characters arch ,is there any problem with my reading or is it fine to experience that ? Aur kabhi kabhi aisa bhi hota hai ki book ki vocabulary kaafi hard and while I am reading, repeatedly searching meaning of particular words ,and switch to reading,it hamper my flow of reading , please ans if one may
I recently bought 'Outlive' and when I came back from the fair, I couldn't remember as to who recommended that book. Thankfully, it just clicked me that you recommended it in one of your videos. 🎉 I have been searching that video but cannot find it. Pls if somebody can share the link! But yeah this is my fun trick to indulge in knowing what is the book all about before reading it so I remain ecstatic about it. 🌺
acha lagta hai sunke, it's not just me finding buying books to read quite heavy on the pocket, lovely episode it was a joy listening this one!

My friends are not much into books, but listening to you guys talking about books was so much fun. Do more of such conversations.
I read the book while simultaneously listening to the audiobook. It helps me keep my focus.

I also have this vocabulary problem.I like to underline the word and write the meaning on the page for ease of reading next time .
I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.
