I didn’t get detention, but my vice principal wanted to suspend me when I was in the third grade, because I got in a fight with a sixth grade boy. The reason he wanted to suspend me, is because I made the kid cry. Mind you, I was a third grade girl and he was a sixth grade boy but because I made him cry they wanted to suspend me even though he started it and I was just defending myself. They called my mom to come pick me up and told her I would be suspended, and she was furious. She threatened to send my older brother who was in the ninth grade to beat up the kid because “if it’s okay for a boy three years older to lay hands on my daughter, then my son who is three years older than him can lay hands on him. According to your logic” Needless to say I was not suspended and they never called her for any other fight I got into (I never started them, I just finished them) while attending that school.

I never got in any trouble in school personally but my brother got suspended for 3 days in kindergarten for defending himself. He was using the bathroom and 3 fifth graders came in and started pushing him around. So he took his belt off and started swinging it around and that was all the teacher saw. In 8th grade, my language arts teacher sent me to the principal for not paying attention in class. I already knew the material (I had taken advanced LA the year before) and was catching up on a book for a book report (that she had assigned and was due three days later). The principal laughed and sent me back to class, where I was then told, "if you think you're soooo smart, why don't you just take the test now, I guarantee you'll fail"..... I got a 98% on that test, and after that she couldn't look me in the face for at least a month.

I had a English teacher who had us open the dictionary with our eyes closed and put our finger down. The word that our finger landed on we had to write a poem about it. And one of my teachers over heard and told the principal I was spreading a rumor that my mom passed away. I got called a couple of days later to talk to the counselor on to why I was “spreading” this rumor. She was being really rude about it too. I then had to explain what happened and that this so called “rumor” was in fact true. She then had the audacity to offer me a schedule when she will be free to talk more about it. Like hello!! I got in trouble in middle school during a field trip near our local river because the science teacher wanted to catch the dragonfly that landed on my shoulder for the class pet snake. I am terrified of bugs, so when I saw the dragonfly I freaked out and it flew away. My teacher got so angry at me, she started screaming at me and pushing me towards the river. I would of fallen in if my classmates didn't step in. The whole class got mad at her and so did the other teachers. That's the way it always goes. A kid sticks up for himself/others, and the school throws a damn fit. Meanwhile parents, neighbours, and the entire world are giving him a thumbs up. Sometimes schools need to mind their own business with punishments. They shouldn't be able to punish a child unless the parent has given them the okay. I actually did get "stop" one time because i told the teacher why i kept asking to be sent to ISS lol, ( basically in school ,but not allowed to be in my OWN school suspended) i had the most fun in school those few days. seriously. it wasn't a punishment when i asked to be sent there because the classroom environment was to chaotic for me to focus... i had diagnosed adhd, i was taking medication for it. ( this was back when it was legit a thing and harder to get diagnosed with as compared to a kid being bored and saying "oh i have adhd" majority of them don't.
i wasn't able to work in the classroom and was losing my grades because of the environment, but the time i spent in ISS doing work had me excelling.... i got in trouble by wanting to be able to do my school work.

I got suspended for an entire week my senior year of high school because one of my now former friends brought up my name in a police interrogation regarding a threat that had apparently been made towards the school. I had previously ranted to this person about how the school did nothing to help their students who were being bullied (since I was nonstop harassed by a group of freshmen boys all throughout that school year) and apparently that was enough for the police to decide to interrogate me as well. Making sure to drag up everything from my personal life which led to me getting a psych analysis then sent to the hospital and suspended until I had a note from a therapist that said I was mentally stable enough to be in school. Both interrogations lasted about 2 hours and then I was kept in the hospital until 9pm that day because the school didn't agree with the hospital's therapist and wanted me to wait there until the one hired by the school arrived. The reason that took so long was because it was heavily snowing that day and the school's therapist didn't even show up. They tried to keep me at the hospital but luckily for me, my uncle actually worked there and was able to let me go home. Ever since this incident my trust in the school system and law enforcement has been broken and I will forever resent my high school. People were of course spreading rumors about me such as 'the police found weapons in my backpack' (which they never checked) and 'omg a furry tried to shoot up the school' (an assumption they made based on me just happening to wear a sweatshirt with a lion on it that I got from Six Flags.) Oh and I later found out that this all started because of some drama in a friend group that I had no connection to. The "threat was a misunderstanding and the whole thing was completely pointless. My mental health took a significant amount of damage that took two years just being out of school to repair, without help from anyone. I can at least say I'm in a much better mental state now but will probably never let this go for the rest of my life.

Before i was called on to read I was thinking "whatever you do Eddie, dont say orgasms." well it was my turn to read outloud. Everything was smooth or at least I thought it was. I thought i honestly said organisms and kept on reading. I was hearing some laughing and as I was reading I thought "why is everyone laughing? Whats so funny? Oh no i said it didn't I?!" my face hit the desk and turned red . I was laughing from embarrassment. I was really scared because I thought i was going to get in trouble and I looked at my teacher and said "I didn't mean to say that! It was an honest mistake." I didn't get in trouble. I have mentioned it before on other videos. One year I was in a school where they didn't have a test to determine reading level when you entered. So they automatically put you two levels below your grade. I was in fourth grade trying to read Harry Potter, but was not allowed to check it out because of my "2nd grade" reading level. I had been in private school through second and homeschooled third grade and my reading level was more on par with 7th grade. But they were forcing me to read picture books to "prove I could read". Dude, I had already read "The Giver" and was reading the "Series of Unfortunate Events" as well. They were mad at me for not "following their system" and doing book reports on picture books to show I could even read at my own grade level. I knew bigger words than some of the teachers. I got detention for having anxiety attacks, but I was happy for that :D I was 15 then in 10th grade.
I went out from our class and stood in the hallway, heavy breathing.. one teacher which had hall duty saw me and came to ask what I'm doing out of the classroom. I told him "I had to go out before I beat up everybody in there." with a calm voice and a death-serious face. He shivered looking at me and went to the class to ask if something happened. Nothing happened, I was just having one of my anxiety attacks. I used to have them a lot, one panic attacks when I couldn't breathe or the other when I got so angry I could kill.
He took me to detention for rest of the day, it was my first lessons so, the whole day off :D After this, I could always come to detention myself, if I had these attacks again. It really came in handy a few times when I almost lost control.. It was a rough two years, I moved to England with almost no English experience so, I wasn't talking or understanding much. My anxiety got lot worse and nothing really helped so, I was lucky to get to the detention whenever I needed it, it saved me from a lot of trouble with fighting.

This is actually one of only two times I have ever gotten in some sort of “serious” trouble during all my years in grade school and is the one I'm the most pissed off about to this day.
So in sixth grade I got a “detention” (I'll explain the quotations) from my Civics teacher for not doing my homework twice in one nine week period and had to go to school an hour and a half earlier the next time I had her and had to write her a 3 page essay about why it's important to do your homework.
On top of that, I was late to my home room class because of how stupid and over dramatic my Civics teacher was and the home room teacher actually sent me to the main office to get a tardy pass for being 5 minutes late to class. There were 3 other students who came in late the same time I did but I was the only one who got sent to the main office to get a tardy pass. The people in the main office proceeded to call my mom and tell her that I was late to my home room for what they considered an “unexcused tardy” and would be documented in the system as such. That was because the detention my teacher had given me wasn’t even an official school detention and meant there was no reason for me to be in school, let alone in my Civics teacher's class room, an hour and a half before school started that day.
Needless to say I'm still pretty livid about that and hope my 6th grade Civics teacher knows how much I hate her almost 10 years later.

My mom had a vendetta against my 6th grade LA/History teacher and walked in the office after I went into school that morning and I wasn't aware she had until after the teacher came back to class after getting called to the office. The reason my mom did that was because we were working on something in History class involving our family and she kept "forgetting" to give it to me to take home to work on and marking that I wasn't doing my homework work and mom got furious after I told her what was happening. The one thing you never do is piss my mom off when it comes to my brother and I. The teacher told me she had a meeting with my mom during LA which made my anxiety worse. I called mom after I got home like I always did and she told me exactly what had happened and been said. The teacher gave me the assignment to take home to work on like everyone else and removed the markdowns as well. My mom's a mama bear.

So I stood up and got the attention of everyone and said ''If anyone has any remaining issues concerning me its your last chance to hash it out with words or these hands'' jokingly of course as the whole bus was dying of laughter. But during the period before lunch the speaker turned on and I was told to meet with Mr. Brown before getting lunch, mind you Mr. Brown is a big man in height, weight, and voice. I acted chill but was crying in the inside. When i got to lunch this man was waiting for em at the entrance, mind you he never knew me by recognition, because i never got in trouble, but that day dude picked me out of a crowd of students . Even though i explained it was all jokes because i wanted to join in with the other kids. He said i was a student that never got in trouble and is known as a leader and he wants me to continue being that way. But because he found out I was going to a pretty tough and prestigious high school he said he wouldn't want this to repeat itself and that I have to learn. SO i was given after school detention ON THE LAST DAMN DAY OF SCHOOL FOR 3 HOURS... he also added that i had to clean the whiteboards of every teacher in my grade like what the hell.

I once almost got detention because I was shoved inside a locker and the kid ran away as I stepped out. A teacher got mad and started to berate me for being "immature" (I was 12) and "almost damaging school property." The kid that did it didn't get in trouble

1:17 That made me legitimately mad. NEVER discourage a student from reading above their level!! That's horrible! If the teacher thought Harry Potter was evil and satanic they should've just said so!

I went back to school when my daughter was in kindergarten. It was a small school, k-12, so we went to the same school. Got called down to the principal office cause my daughter punched a boy in the face for pulling up her dress. My daughter was suspended for fighting and I got suspended for teaching my daughter to defend herself. That school really sucked

I didn’t wear a belt so the dean told me I couldn’t go back to class and he was going to call my mom. This is the only time I was ok with a dean calling my mom and actually encouraged him to call her. He called her looked at me a little deterred and looked like he was about to cry. I stood at the door with my arms crossed ready for him to tell me to go back to class, and the dean sent me back as soon as he got off the phone. He was scared of my parents ever since that phone call. He hated me and refused to look at me too.

This will probably age me, but I went to a Catholic school with my younger brother. When he was in kindergarten & I was in 2nd grade, he called 911 & told them he was at school & there was a fire. It was a lie & when they arrived, I got sent to the principal's office to get spanked---no kidding, a wooden paddle with holes--for not being a better role model for him & my brother got sent home, no spankings from school, but he sure got tanned when he got home.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS SMARTER THAN HIDING UNDER A DESK. soooo she thought I was being sarcastic and took away my right to the bathroom and water. I went anyway bc fuck that and I got sent to the principal’s. The principal laughed and switched my class 😭

I got detention once in sixth grade for "talking" in lunch when we were asked to be quiet. The funniest part about it was I wasn't even talking. I actually threw an orange peel at the kid sitting next to me. No one said anything about it, not even the kid I threw the orange peel at.
Another time was when I was in seventh grade, in art class, my teacher was staring daggers at me for yelling at the top of my lungs, *"THE FLAT EARTH SOCIETY HAS MEMBERS AROUND THE GLOBE"* because my friends dared me to. He looked like a hippie and everyone in our grade made jokes about it. That was probably one of the ballsiest things I did in school.

I know that sometimes people can’t afford school supplies. My mom could barely put food on the table so I literally borrowed a pencil and paper every day from other kids because I had no choice, so please don’t think that the child who didn’t bring the red pen absolutely did it on purpose. Sometimes parents can’t afford to buy their kids what they need

    • @hydellas678
      @hydellas678 3 года назад +1

I can relate to that. I didn't have much money for school supplies either so I improvised and asked around. Plus sometimes it was my teachers fault. They kept switching up on us from blue to red to black for no reason and I ran outta ink easily because of that.

I'm going to share my teacher's story from when he taught a lecture as a TA. I can't remember what the real word was but all throughout class when he would say this one scientific word he would put fuck in the middle. So the class is snickering and acting all happy cause teacher cusses and it's awesome. The instructor asks him about his profanity the next day and he felt so embarrassed that he said this word repeatedly for at least 2 hours and did not realize it was wrong.

I got detention in middle school for playing with a friend after school. We were really good friends and would often have a poke war, one of us would poke the other at random times and the war was on. On this particular day, he poked my ribs as we were walking out of the school and towards the waiting buses. I'm naturally very ticklish on my sides and he knew that, so when he poked my side I jumped. When I jumped, I bumped into him and knocked him into the lockers. A teacher saw and sent us both to detention the next day.
There was another time where I got 3 days of ISS. This time there were several reasons. The teacher wanted me to write something on the projector in class but I had injured my ankle the day before and literally could not sand on it for too long. Even walking to class was a pain. She knew this, I told her when class first started that it hurt to stand. When I refused to stand because of my ankle, she then asked me to read something out loud from the text. For one, the lights were out and I couldn't see the text clearly. Two, I was coming down with a cold and my throat was sore, another fact that she knew (I also stated this at the start of class and had a doctors note to prove it). When I again refused, she decided she'd had enough of my "disrespectful attitude" and sent me to ISS for 3 days.
