The SHF version is A LOT more movie accurate. The Marvel Legends is way off. In the movie she does not have that bright of a yellow at all. None. Also for accessories if they didn't want to include a unmasked head, they could of at least included some effects for her wrists to show like shes shooting stings or whatever from her wrists weapons.
It's true the SHF version is more accurate, though weirdly I prefer the Legends color scheme, which seems mostly based on the glimpse we get in the first Ant-Man flick. That the Legends fig included an unmasked head has me preferring it all the more.
It really pains me when SHF opts NOT to create an alternate unmasked head for masked figures. And I believe its one of the main reasons why Mafex is now one-upping them in quality, partly because of that one area. Someone really ought to relay that message to SHF/Bandai.
Yeah it’s dumb. They pump out a couple figures with awesome accessories then skimp out on others. I dig Mafex but they’ve got to do something about the plastic they use. It just feels brittle compared to an SHF. If Mafex gets that right I think we’d have a new King.
Bandar has proven itself the king of not-giving-a-fck when it comes to Marvel figure accessories…maybe Marvel copy right agents in Japan are charging way too high for those licenses but I've pretty much given up all hope long ago…
A bicep swivel on a Marvel figure from Bandai ( especially a female Marvel figure) makes me SOOO happy. Just goes to show you how easy it is to impress someone by simply giving him what you take away from him in the first place. WAS IT SO HATD TO PUT A SWIVEL THERE ALL THIS TIME???
I agree. I don't get why certain releases get several alternate or unmasked heads (Black Widow, Star-Lord), while others like this one and Ant-Man don't.
there was a news that they're making marvel legends ghost and luis, and korg and the old guy from thor ragnarok next idk what wave tho, probably just non-wave like wanda and vision or bucky and falcon
That would be cool, instabuy but S.h figuarts dont often do enemy / villains, we've only seen 2 so far (Ultron & Thanos) compared to 40 hero releases? and another 2 coming this year (Winter Soldier & Loki). It sucks they haven't released all of them, collectors would want them for displays, dioramas and just in general as some people like the characters themselves! i would buy a Vulture, Whiplash, Iron Mongerer, Red skull and Yellow jacket, maybe even an Abomination!
I have no choice but to get her, not into the Legends counterpart, but holy hell the lack of a visible face behind the mask is sooo bothersome to me. Same with Ant-man.
Man, you should’ve compared or showcased her with other winged SHFs, like KR Blade Jack Form, Hyper Kabuto and OOOs with TaJaDor(l) set. Would’ve made for some sweet b-roll shots. Or hell, at least another gender-matched partner like Nadeshiko......😏
Looking at them side-by-side (and with a rewatch of both Ant-Man movies), I now believe that the Marvel Legends Wasp is based more on the prototype suit seen in the post-credits scene of Ant-Man. Whereas the SHF figure is from Ant-Man and the Wasp/Avengers: Endgame... It took me a while to realize it, as I haven't watched the Ant-Man films in a while.
When doing size comparisons it would be easier to judge the scale of the figure if you lined them up one by one all facing the same way instead of bunching them up and having them stand at all different angles
With no alternate unmasked head-sculpt or even eyes through the visor, this was a HARD pass and I cancelled my pre-order. At this price point, there is no excuse to not get an alternate head or any other accessories. Super upset with SH figuarts when it comes to marvel... DBZ is great, Star Wars is decent, but Marvel is too high for the prices being asked.
what a beautiful figure. My only gripe (aside from unmasked head) would be that I wish they copied ML and did the eyes behind the lenses. That was a big part of the way they shot the movie. Gotta get a hello kitty pez dispenser for my display!
The figure looks a bit dull/matted. I think she would look better alongside the sh civil war antman as that fig is closer to wasp's paint style. The new antman is too metallic so it looks a bit off when posed with wasp
Maybe you need to rewatch or atleast view some pictures online when it comes reviewing MCU figures. No matter how much you prefer comic colors. MCU collectors prefer movie accuracy.
Love my figure. Just that the pin that goes into the arm is just the slightest bit out and it make it look weird. I've tried multiple to to get it to go in further but I'm afraid I'm gonna break it. Help would be greatly appreciated.
this is the first time i think the Marvel Legends version is better. The wings are the best part of the SHF version, but the muted tones and those weird gaps at the pelvic joints are unsettling...
nice channel but all your videos are blue tinted and blurry 720p. I presume even your modern cell phone would take better video to keep up with the comp

Great review. Looks a great figure, but for the price they're charging an addition unmasked head wouldn't be to much to ask for IMO
