Ok i have some things to say. I think this is a good reaction. great even. BUT i do think you were a little harsh to the point where you focused so much on the problems that it caused you to overlook the good parts. keep in mind he is self thought and has only been releasing music for 4 years now. He started as just a depressed high school student and this is his way of coping with his problems. Again, great reaction but i do want to point out some things. 1. this album is about his most recent break up after a 4 year relationship. this is the girl that caused him to start playing ukulele in the first place. if you notice the meanings of the songs you will realize these songs are in the order of after the break up. it starts off with fast paced, angry songs. he is mad about the break up. stranger and backseat were about him trying to meet new people for the “pleasure”. then coffee was about him wanting a meaningful relationship again but also talking about his current situation and why he struggles with this. the songs start getting slower after the interlude as he begins to get calmer and accept this change, which is why the last song is called change. its also a double meaning that is also about the change in his career as he transitions away from the ukulele. this is his first time making music without the ukulele so its obviously harder on him because he has never tried these styles. 2. the extremely bold autotune in the last chorus of easier was a purposeful decision and the background vocals have him screaming in pain. this is to show that hes trying to fake his feelings the way the autotune fakes what his voice sounds like in the lead and then in the back you can hear is real feelings of pain as hes struggling to accept things. 3. boywithuke didn’t produce gaslight he got the beat from another artist so the guitar sound you didnt like wasnt his doing. i do agree with you on that part though but i wouldn’t blame it on him. 4. Ghost’s “I think she thinks im on the spectrum” line was not to be funny or rude or anything like that but because he was actually asked if he was autistic by a girl he was talking to there were alot of things you said that i personally dont agree with but also alot of things i do agree with. if you have any questions regarding boywithuke feel free to ask me because i most likely could give you an answer. i also noticed a lot of problems you had was i think because you didn’t understand his past and the lore. anyway thats all, great reaction ill drop a like.
Hello, JLAnderson! Thank you so much for listening to this album. I understand that you have a lot of critiques for it, but I enjoy seeing other peoples perspectives on albums that I enjoy so that I may see it in a different light as well. I hope you keep this video up for that purpose, even if you have some users come into the comments complaining about your takes, when they are the ones who asked you to react to begin with. Thanks again for giving this album your time!
@tacobosco574 I appreciate you dude. Don't worry this will stay up (unless the copyright police get me). The comments never bother me cause I acknowledge that there will be people who really like this and that's fine. People are passionate and it's great. And also, as you said, they asked me to react to it in the first place so they should have known what they were getting
@@JLAnderson_MusicI find it strange how people asked for it considering how you’ve received his music previously, but what I don’t get is that if you weren’t enjoying it why not just stop listening to it, you don’t owe the viewers a reaction to this. I thought a decent amount of your criticism was valid but some of it was just unnecessary nitpicking which didn’t help. I just don’t get why continue with how much you were showing that you weren’t enjoying it.
@@JLAnderson_Music Brother, from afar it can be seen that you don't enjoy Charlie's music, just stop listening to it, and here the problem is not how you receive it, but that you didn't take the time to research more about this album and what's in it. The bottom line of the latter, you simply criticized harshly without knowing, reconsider it and accept that you hit him harshly and you don't even know what the songs mean to him and to the true fans.
@webisabiopcgrf my dude I don't have time to research. I work 50+ hours a week most weeks and if I have free time I'm playing guitar or getting ready for my next gig. The only reason I made this video was cause so many people requested it. I would rather listen to the New Spirit box or Poppy album
1: Stranger doesn't have a music video, only pitfall has one. 2: BoyWithUke does absolutely know where he wants his songs to be. He stated a few times now that he is now making exactly the music that he wants to be making. Also, just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it's bad, and you probably shouldn't tell a musician with over 6 years of experience how to do his job. 3: The double vocals are just his style bro
@@boywitheditsofficial yeah but those were from the singles. i don't count that. (except for cyfi, but i didn't know about deluxe or whatever it's called until a day ago)
Real, I love boywituke for all the things he said he hates like how can you be a top fan if you don't like boywithukes double vocals in the first place?
Burnout is an album for him to experiment. He dropped the uke and wants to know what his fans would like to listen to. That’s why I think each song is different and they don’t know what they want to be, cause he doesn’t know. Switching from an only uke to something different takes courage and will lose a lot of fans. He’s experimenting with what people would like. Good points though💯
The autotune at the end of Easier was actually on purpose. It's meant to show how he presents himself as composed and perfect on the outside, and the screaming in the back is how he really feels.
1:14:03 He actually did that overdone auto tune on purpose to kind of make it sound literally fake, while the yelling in the background is actually how charley feels. He also joked about not being able to hit one note in a live about that part on top of it lmao. And that sample is a train station in japan that he was on back on his trip to japan, kind of like departing from boywithuke in a way. Anyways your reaction was very interesting lol. As much as i didnt wgree with some of it, everyone is entitled to their opinion and i saw that some of your points were well made 👍👍
the way you react and break down the songs is super interesting and pretty entertaining. I’ve enjoyed this album a lot but hearing how you understand it definitely brings to light how different people hear different sounds. Great video
brother, this reaction doesn't even have that many foundations, the problem is that he criticizes so much without knowing that it's shit, we ask for a reaction with research, not without knowing anything and criticizing because yes, I respect that music is not for him, but man , he is simply not obliged to listen to it, a bit bad reaction
@ that’s not a reaction at that point, that’s an analysis. I think people just need to accept that Justin doesn’t like bwu and move on. It’s okay to disagree with your favorite content creator on something like this
@@ddave0822 and it's okay that you don't like it brother, but the problem here wasn't that, it was the unnecessary criticism he made, apart from the fact that he didn't take the time to investigate more about the album and its meaning, and as I said before, HE WAS NOT OBLIGED TO DO IT, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, IT'S SIMPLE, DON'T REACT TO THAT AND THAT'S IT.
1:27:38 why do I like this album? that is a great question actually i'm both a boywithuke and a twenty one pilots fan. i know their entire discography and a good amount of "unreleased" songs for both artists i couldn't possibly explain why i like the album to somebody who doesn't - i just do. I can explain good qualities i see in the invididual songs though, and why it appeals to me (another thing to mention is that i have types of audio synesthesia, so overall, these songs sound more immersive. i couldn't really explain it to anyone who doesn't have it) this is kind of a yap session but i genuinely want to explain why i like this album to anyone who is curious and wants to read all of it. Can You Feel It: I like the song structure. i like the instrumental choices, especially at the "second verse" (:50) and the instrumental/lyrics make me feel like im actually there in a way. then it has a nice chorus in my opinion. the song kind of builds up to that chorus. then it has that cool part at the end, which feels like it's just falling down after the chorus. Burn: i like the voice effect at the strart. starts off soft. the loud "BURNOUT" makes it pick up the pase a little bit. i've seen people who like the loud shout, and people who don't. i personally really like it. it's kinda just a preference, really. it feels exciting to me. Ghost: now, personally, this song is the most visual and most textured for me. there's a lot going on, so i really like it. but im aware most people don't experience the same thing as me, so i'm putting that aside. the first part is chill. it has a vibe to it that I admire. i like the rhythm of it. then the connection between the two parts ("can you catch me when I fall?") it feels and sounds raw, and it hits me. then it goes into the double time part where it feels like he kinda gets "upset" about the situation (this is really hard to put into words im sorry😭) and it goes into a rush. everything is happening at once, like a bunch of things getting thrown at you. the background vocals add a nice touch, like it's his inner monologue going crazy. then it goes to that calm guitar part, which sort of brings it back to calm and chill. it has an atmosphere to it. then idk what to say about the outro. Gaslight: I will admit, I don't like this one that much. it's definitely one of my least favorites on the album. there was the "complaint" that it was too loud and too much in the mix, but that's what i like about that part. i like when there's a lot going on. it sort of just fills my ears and i like that. Stranger: okay, i get why a handful of people would think this song isn't good lyrically. i like those sections that are more like rapping. i feel an exhilerating feeling when listening to this song. that's why i like it. Backseat: i get that the transition isn't that smooth and it doesn't really fit. but i feel like, in the way the song is supposed to play out, it does sort of fit. the first half is more intense, where it's like "oh, she's using me for s** or whatever, i don't know what to do" but it switches over to that calm acoustic guitar part. it's like he's letting go from his worries, and he doesn't really care because being with her is nice. i feel like it's powerful. Coffee: this one is also a little odd. another one of my least favorites, but i still like it. how i see it is that he's on a date with a girl at a cafe, and he's talking about his life to her. it also kind of serves as an explanation to whoever is listening to the song about what's going on with BoyWithUke and why he's changing (a big part of this album is change. he's changing his style of music, he's changing his name, taking off the mask, etc). the last part of the song is my favorite though, where it goes an octave lower then completely switches. that part is a vibe imo Paper Planes: i like the instrumental. and this song has sort of a deep meaning. i dont really know what else to say about this song tbh. it's really different from his usual vibe. Petrichor (interlude): it is kinda long for an interlude😭 i like that calming vibe though, after all of those 8 "not so calm" songs. it's a nice vibe switch. the lyrics are relatable too. has a lot of symbolism Pitfall: i actually think this song is really interesting and unique. i don't think it's basic at all. the synths add a lot to it. and i really like the vocals on this song too. the last part has a lot going on too. again, this song has a lot to do with change and letting go of his past Corduroy: this song is my favorite off the album. the lyrics are very relatable to me and hit hard. it has that buildup from the verses that lead to just a burst of emotion. it hits. that's all i can say Love Lost: yeah, i can see how this song could be seen as boring. but for me, this song evokes _emotion._ it's a mix of internal conflict. Easier: the first part is good with the acoustic guitar. i think we both agree on that. i like the effects in that next part with the instrumental break. i can't really explain it, but i feel like it 100% fits there. after that part with the acoustic guitar, it just evokes more emotion. then it leads into another verse afterwards which is calmer than the instrumental part. but at the second instrumental part, it feels more emotional. it's him yelling in the background vocals, but the contrast with the calm lead vocal with the autotune effects feels cool. and it represents how he's supressing how he's feeling, and the background is how he actually feels (ik somebody said this in another comment). Change: simply put, this song would not make sense as an outro to somebody who hasn't been a boywithuke fan for a long time (im aware it isn't actually an outro, but it being the last song as boywithuke makes it have that feeling). this song is reassuring his fans that change is okay. he's going in a completely different direction right now. i've been a boywithuke fan for about 3 years and i miss his older songs. and this song feels like he's speaking directly to his fans saying "don't run away, we'll be okay. i promise we can handle change" and this song always makes me tear up. but it wouldn't make as much sense to a non boywithuke fan than to somebody who has been a fan for years. anyway, my yap session is over. those are the reasons why i personally like this album. feel free to disagree. everyone's opinions are different and i like hearing other people's perspectives.
Love lost is my favorite in the album and I can completely understand why people think it's boring. It's not as flashy as paper planes or pitfall, but it knows what it wants to be, and the lyrics are clearly the focus. The beat is sufficient enough to make the lyrics more powerful, and you can feel his internal conflict.
@selloutwithnosoul ok that is really really dumb. If it's meant as a bonus track, it should be labeled as (Bonus Track) or save it for a deluxe edition with a couple bonus tracks.
I thought you'd notice car radio background vocals in burn :) Thank you so much for reacting, I enjoyed the video so much. Also, a lot of lyrics are incorrect on spotify.
@@nightglarevr personally I think this whole album can be interchangeable everything can be seen as both talking about a girl or the mask it's just how you want to view the songs, which is something I really like
1:07:36 I guess we all have different tastes. I like the game he plays with his voices. And listening to the songs without stopping and judging them at the end would be better.
Yo, bro, thank you for the reaction. I do think that some critiques are a bit harsh, but they make sense when you explain them. Even though I thought some of them were a bit unnecessary, I think the majority is accurate. I do love this album, and I feel like it was more of an experimental album for Charley Yang's next project. Charley is an artist who keeps getting better, and even if you don't like most of his songs on this album, if you compare them to when he started, you will see his progress. So, maybe in future projects, he will produce some songs that you might like. I ALSO think some of these lyrics were kind of... yk, corny, or maybe cringy, but i think the production got a lot better since his last album. W reaction
brother, that's what it was, an EXPERIMENTAL album, it's a new style and he's learning to use it, this man definitely made unnecessary criticisms, some of them had foundations and meanings but brother, if you don't understand the album and you don't enjoy it, why listen to it? I mean, I wasn't forced or pointing a gun to react to it.
He wasn’t the one who produced or really wrote gaslight btw it’s the one song on burnout not made by him it’s more so made by the artist “roe kapara” and the producer “dan farber”
Idk, some things you didn't like in the song I think give some charm to the songs, like, the dubstap at the end of change starts growing at the beginning of the song, but dies down, but then it tries to come back again, and after a while it dies down again, and finally "i promise we can handle change" and the song completely changes to a dubstap that was trying to appear from the beginning... I think that's brilliant, it's like he synchronized the production of the song with the lyrics, I think it's phenomenal! Coffee is also a song that didn't get my attention at first, but after I gave the song several chances I realized that the song was made to make no sense! It's a satire for generic romance songs, and the ending is an interlude to Paper Planes, describing a war scene and Paper Planes is actually an anti-war propaganda song and this is brilliant! I agree with you, this middle of the album stranger and backseat are unnecessary songs, it's not cool to listen to a grown ass man talking about drugs and sex, I understand those who like it, but it's not for me, Even though Stranger is not a song to be taken seriously, the part "Thought thought, da da da da da" is quite catchy and I think it's funny, it fits the song. I agree that easier is a very long and boring song, it would be much better if he shortened the instrumental parts of the song. But I don't see anything wrong with the vocals, musical taste is relative, and I prefer this nonstop lyrics from boywithuke to songs that goes lyrics-pause-more lyrics. hmm, what else?? oh, i agree that gaslight is a horrible song, but i really give it a pass because it's not a boywithuke song, it's a song by another singer that boywithuke bought and someone else produced, so the song felt really out of place on the album. to finish my long text, I think I'm going to offend a lot of people now lol, but I don't see anything special in Clancy and I think Burnout is a more enjoyable album, at least for me who's not a big fan of ToP. Well, that's all!
I completely agree with you brother, he made criticisms without foundations and totally unnecessary, each song has its own thing and has its meaning why I created it, coffee could seem meaningless, but the truth is that he said it was very personal, reading the lyrics It is, so if your video creator is watching this, do more research before making reactions, because this was a total embarrassment.
by the way the first half of burnout is crazier because he explained that it's like going from fuckboy to something more relaxed and experimental, if you know what this album means, it's too enjoyable, and no, charley is not that adult haha, He's only 23 and I think talking about sex and drugs still makes sense, although I respect that some don't like it that much, anyway, beautiful album and very much in agreement with your points of view.
@@webisabiopcgrf like, it's a reaction from a non-listener of Boywithuke, so we can't blame him for not knowing the lore or what the album is about, it's just the first impressions he had about the album
@@webisabiopcgrf I mean.. it's Enjoyable, I just don't feel comfortable being asked, like, what's the music you're listening about? and I have to answer like "Segs" Lmao
To be fair, a lot of the Spotify lyrics are wrong. A good example of this is Stranger in the more rap-like verse. If you wanted to do a full reaction to the proper lyrics then you should have watched the lyric videos since that is made by BWU and is the official lyrics.
When Boywithuke, as you said did good lyrics (Lucid Dreams) - "I dont like judging lyrics" When Boywithuke does Burnout - WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE LYRICS I know that it's just your opinion, and I really like your "good ear" - that you can hear those background effects, but sometimes I feel like you dont treat artists equally. Saturday by TØP has this weird stop which I've never heard you judge, but when it comes to a boywithukes drum-fill you are really neat picky, which bothers me a bit. Even tho I still want to thank you for this reaction
For a bit of context, he is not going to be boywithuke anymore. he is rebranding to i believe is his Korean name "Chandol" and is retiring the uke per se. this was very experimental and i do think a lot better than his old music especially production wise. also enjoyed listening to your negative feedback because i love to hear what critiques and criticism there is. ps change is technically an extra song so easier IS the last song
@@impatientlittlecookie he doest like the music not the artist and i just wanted to give some context on the very scattered music and strange choices. also i wouldn't say it's talking shit id just say he criticizes it a lot (just dont be rude ab it basically)
okay, my opinion on the reaction: 1. Brother, if you don't like Charley (which, by the way, you can see from the beginning) you are not obliged to listen to him 2.well you're already listening to it but wait a minute, at least you did a little research on boywhituke's past and his lyrics, well I think it's not the truth, and it can be seen since you start criticizing harshly and without real foundations. 3.CRITICISM: WELL, there's a lot to talk about here, in short, you gave a good review but, most of it was baseless and very harsh, I feel that you didn't take enough time to understand the lyrics and especially to know more about boywhituke, some of them didn't even They didn't even make sense, and the truth is that this reaction felt too forced because you could see pure and simple boredom on your face (by the way, which again is bullshit, you weren't forced to react if you didn't want to) 4.RHYTHM CHANGES: I see you criticize the lyrics a lot, especially the rhythm changes and oh my god that sucks, oh my god YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT, OH MY GOD YOU'RE SO DUMB, with all due respect and again, no You didn't even take a minute to research boywhituke and his life, the album is very strange, because it is an experiment, he is entering a new style, and he no longer uses the chew or the ukulele, so it is normal that I experiment with these changes, which by the way for all the fans sounded great and pure living fire, so this is just a taste of what is to come, and that is why I decided to experiment so much with the sounds 5.THE LYRICS: okay in case you didn't know BURNOUT GOES THROUGH STAGES, the first half is pure desperation, paranoia, fuckboy stage and denial, which can be seen in lyrics like stranger, burn, backseat and paper planes, and the second half is calmer and it is the stage of acceptance, that is why the lyrics are softer and let's say it calmly and not with so much anger, stranger is the fuckboy stage at its maximum point, backseat the same, coffee has many details about his personal life, the breakup with his girlfriend and his mask, and at the same time it is an interlude that prepares the drums for paper planes, petrichor is in a way a song that shows his feelings in a calm way, pitfall is about him letting go of boywhituke and all that, although at the same time it has lyrics about things that are very personal, that's why a lot of lyrics about his mom and his ex-girlfriend, corduroy and love lost are the acceptance of these stages, (which by the way Corduroy is very sweet and one of the best on the album) and easier and change are the transition from him to his new name, CHANDOL, which the pitfall mv shows 5.BURNOUT IN GENERAL: this album is about him facing his problems, repercussions that he had when he left the mask, breakup with his ex-girlfriend to more personal topics such as things from his childhood such as his mother who is mentioned in several places, and above all It is a very experimental album, a very good album in my opinion and it exceeded my expectations, I love Charley and I will support him in everything he does LASTLY, FROM THIS LONG REVIEW, I consider that your reaction is good, you gave good points of view and it is seen that you know about music, I RECOMMEND YOU INVESTIGATE THE SUBJECT BEFORE SAYING OR DOING ANYTHING, and finally if you do not like something feel free not to do it, I respect that it is not your type of artist and your opinion, but for the love of god, DO NOT MAKE DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM WITHOUT FIRST HAVING INVESTIGATED IT SINCE YOU GAVE SEVERAL UNNECESSARY THINGS AND WITHOUT ANY FOUNDATION, anyway good reaction, unfortunately it will drop a dislike, continue with your content, you have the potential for this, improve as a person and as a reacter, and I will give a better point of view and more focused on the good things about you, thank you if you read this and finally, I LOVE YOU CHARLEY ;)
the end of change has him gasping for air as if he has something to say but it stops, i feel like he's gonna pick up from that in the first song from chandol
as a boywithuke fan i can agree that some of the takes are a bit nitpicky but i dont think we should miss the fact that he isnt a boywithuke fan so he doesnt really know more then what he has heard about the songs but he also hasnt really spent hours upon hours of time listening and loving and connecting to these songs and the fact that this is supposed to be a reaction video so he is supposed to be talking about things he like and dont like about the songs, really love these reaction videos from him icl one of few 1 hour long videos i can actually think about watching even tho i dont agree with everything but that is fine cuz music is opinion based. gonna edit this every time i have an opinion to say edit 1 he doesnt know the story about the album so obviously stranger and such will be VERY weird to see edit 2 a sad thing is that he probably knows ukey as this edgy immature guy just writing some ukulele songs so he already has some thoughts and expectations of him in a bad way. there are some songs on burnout that has a big TOP vibe wich he still gonna nitpick a bit due to the fact that its boywithuke and not tyler edit 3 ''it doesnt know what it want to be'' i think charley knows what he wanted to do and he put a lot of variation in songs wich FULLY understandable that he doesnt like that cuz that is a 50/50 thing, either you hate it or you love it. personally i love the constant switches and all the shit that constantly is happening edit 4 he seems to mistake guitar for ukulele a bit, there is barely any ukulele in this album and the 2 instances where you find ukulele in it you wont even be able to notice it edit 5 as a devoted corduroy stan with it being my fav song of all time, im happy you gave it a good rating ilysm
I actually hate coffee so much idk man, I personally like the rest of the album to varying degrees and I'm so glad to see your opinions cause sometimes you need to be reminded what you listen isn't for everyone
@@Tobias_willams i need to rant abt how bad coffee is omg like the guitar bit isnt that bad but the lyrics to the verse to the entirely different song 3/4ths through the runtime is atrocious
Coffee is too bad when I first heard it (MLS) I expected it to be so much better [vocally] cuz the instrumental is amazing but the ending wasn't that good..
This comment section is not it😭, he was begged to react to an artist he doesn't like. i dont know what was expected.. obviously its going be negative. like yeah some opinions are a bit ignorant but we cant expect him to know as much as we do. Not a great look for the fans of boywithukes music😬 (i like boywithukes music but his opinion should be respected)
FUCKING THANK YOU, SOMEONE WITH AN ACTUAL BRAIN. Like holy shit I don’t know why these people thought he would like this one, he literally said in the lucid dreams reaction that he doesn’t like his music.
i’m a boywithuke fan and imma be more mature and say that this reaction isn’t bad, but some of the lyrics that you mentioned were bad, there’s a whole story behind it which i won’t explain since you probably wouldn’t care (not in a bad way, but because your opinion) and this entire album is experimental as it’s his first ever album to not include boywithuke and with the new production
Nice video, although I don't know why I felt like you threw too much hate at it. I enjoy seeing different perspectives, And it's just like you said, this album is not made for you. Boywithuke is changing his style so he said this is the hardest album to make
btw im pretty sure love lost is actually about his dead gold fish and its like a joke idk thats how i take it, also i think the comments are quite harsh even thought your criticisms are quite nitpicky at times but some are valid, even as a massive fan of boywithuke
Also that song that you thought had uke I’m pretty sure it was a guitar with a capo but he said that in ghost there is a little uke if you listen really close
I feel like there are some valid points here, no ones music is perfect and its not okay to say that anyones music is percect, because it just doesnt exist. It's also unfair to judge this by nitpicking every detail. Looking at every fine detail and when something doesnt sit well with you. You point it out and criticize it for that. But people lsiten to music when theyre not criticizing it. Peopel enjoy music because they're just enjoying it, not because they're a music critic. It's okay to point out thd fine details that dont sit well with you but you need to have 2 perspectives. One as nit-picking it, and two as just a casual listener. If you were to listen to this because you're a "people person." And not because you want to, then ehays the point? Youre not going to enjoy something if you didnt want to do it in the first place. Like geez. You have very valid critiques but stop nit-picking every god damn detail. Edit #2: No ukulele was used besides a little TEENY TINY bit in ghost. Please do research on not just lore but on the songs themselves too and fund out info about them without listening to them before you judge them because you seruously dont know everything
I appreciate that you listened to it and even respected what people like and I respect what you think, I'm not going to try and change your opinion on it. I respect you dislike this album or even some of my favorite songs in it, but you were just too harsh and seemed forced to do it
I enjoyed the reaction, even if the album wasn’t your cup of tea. The only criticism I felt was unwarranted was taking points off of Petrichor because it labeled itself as an interlude. In terms of vibe, it’s definitely one of the most simple songs; it’s a vibe shift which I feel makes it act like an interlude - a break. I’ve also seen other songs titled interlude (see EDEN - Interlude) that are just as long.
Most of his songs are “heartbreak” songs correlating to “boywithuke”. Basically, its Charley (his real name) struggling to break off from boywithuke because of all great things that persona has given him in life. W reaction nonetheless👍
The songs are in order of how he experienced things in life, like how he hated the mask. The songs have a deeper story behind them. That's what this album is for and you're just kinda talking shit about him. As you have said: this album isn't for you, but that doesn't mean everyone thinks so. Cause you said really harsh things about the songs man.
at stranger, you said that the "thought thought dadadada" part shouldve been instrumental break or smth, now at easier you said the instrumental break was unnecessary what do u want :v
why is everything in this album a knock off in your eyes? you're not looking at the album with a critical view, you're already biased and just comparing the music to others saying, "Oh AJR could've done this better". Kinda rude imo
@ I’m mainly making a comparison between for example: looking at the Mona Lisa and saying yeah this a like, but this I don’t and yadada compared to: yeah I think this artist would’ve done better if they drew the Mona Lisa instead
Pretty good reaction; I enjoy reacters who actually criticize albums. Now, I do think you was a little too nitpicky, but it's possible that you just don't enjoy the type of genre that he's going for. That's okay too, music is subjective after all. You also have to keep in mind that this is his first album without the mask, so is pretty experimental. Imagine if you switched the type of content you make; it wouldn't be good at first, but as time passes it will improve, so give him a little slack. I don't enjoy all the tracks on this album. It's "messy", and all over the place at parts, but I enjoy the sound of it so it's not that big of a deal to me. A big critique I have is with the production, timing, and vocal skills of his, but that should be sorted out as he settles into this new era. Keep up the genuine reactions!
Totally agree with burn lines being brought out. Distortion on Gaslight was too high, weird line drops were weird. Truly yes I hated stranger 3rd verse, I hate cuss words and I agree with your statement fully. I love Boywithuke but he disappointed with stranger. intro to backseat cool, but sus lyrics again lol. Second half of backseat saved it (yes good drums lol). "It doesnt know what it wants to be" - proceed to coffee bahahaha (Same reaction to coffee for me). Saved by Paper Planes ish. Petrichor is my favorite song on the album and you liked it. Pitfall second verse is the only great part beside the cool guitar. Corduroy was cool, shrooms be weird but i love it. Love Lost was fair, a little dissonant, but yeah, hes in denial and he doesnt know why he loves or hates her (I don't like the distortion). I like Easier because the lyrics hit, but you're right, it has some faults (Acoustic Easier would hit so hard) he shouldnt have shoved the autotune in. his background vocals were the screaming part and it was good, no autotune, but then he put the front vocal in :((. I like change, just because of its significance to his lore, but yes I love your review. Very accurate and real
Completely disagree. Boywithuke isn't a little kid anymore. He grew up. So what he cussed. If you can't handle it leave. And backseat is about love bro I'm sorry your 6 and can't handle someone's saying a cuss word
@@Good_day_dema56 Backseat might be about love, but its and stranger's lyrics take away from the message, making them horrendous. It’s cool that you’re all in on his ‘growth,’ but let’s not pretend the album’s perfect just because he dropped a few curse words. I respect that you are a die hard, but I am respecting JLandersons opinion too. Its unfortunate that I cant receive the same.
@mrfatt3343 never said it was perfect just said maybe it was time to put our big boy pants on and stop crying everytime someone says the "f word". I do respect his opinion but I don't respect people saying bwu's music is bad because he cussed once. I also don't understand how you listen to his old music, HE CUSSED IN THAT TOO
@@Good_day_dema56 Hey, never said I liked the language-heavy songs previously. My taste is different from yours, I cleaned the songs myself and I'll listen to them in peace. All of my favorites by him are already less vulgar. Loafers, Migraine, Ghost, Petrichor, Corduroy, Change, OOR(No hate plz 😩) Trouvaille, Blue, KON, Homesick. His songs such as stranger, pitfall, and backseat will just sadly never be for me, or for the larger audience ranged because he inserted the language, thats fine, I just don't care for it. I don't think all of bwu music is bad, just some, we all fall off once.
@mrfatt3343 ig just sounded like you were saying the album was bad cuz the cussing and I've seen a lot of that on reddit it's just dumb to me. Also no hate I love OOR
Honestly man I’ve seen your other reactions but this one is very different. I noticed when you don’t like something you say it doesn’t work there or he needs to do something else which is definitely not true only cuz those things you don’t like are opinion based and you’re making it seem like it’s factual that it shouldn’t be the way it is. And, you seem mad that he has certain sounds and words in there which is fine if you didn’t like it in there but you can’t say that he needs to not have it in there. Again everyone does have their own opinion I just disliked how you made your own opinions seem like they were factual things. Something that kinda bothers me is that with TØP songs at least with Clancy I didn’t see any others, you didn’t say things like this for songs like craving Jenna’s version, lavish, or even snap back. And I can understand that it’s your favorite artist but it tends to seem like with those you love them and then with something else you hate it. And then you mention that music shouldn’t need music videos which again is an opinion because sometimes things are created for music videos. That’s just what it sounded like again I can’t really say much it was like 5 for you I think and you probably did just wanna go to bed and were maybe a little bothered because of that. Just putting my opinion hopefully this doesn’t make anyone mad.
1.) the songs are just Boywithukes style of his songs 2.) not all his songs are the best, but like you make it sound like he killed 2 people 3.) he does know what his songs want to be 4.) only ghost, gaslight, and pitfall have music videos 5.) I mean a lot of people say that this is his best album
Everything is fine, I just want to say that Spotify lyrics are not always correct lyrics. As for the album, I really liked the main styles of the songs but sometimes I was missing the "sharpness", like sometimes everything is so "blurred" I would say. For example, I really liked the acoustic version of Love Lost that he played during one of his tiktok streams (iirc), but the actual digital release was a little bit worse for me. The "demo" version grabbed my soul, but the release version couldn't. And it kinda applies to many songs in album.
@fNicks I guess that was just a me thing of comparing a significant other to your mother. I don't think I've ever compared my last long term girlfriend to my mother except in a joking "you're being very bossy" way.
i’ve been a bwu fan since the beginning, but honestly, this album was disappointing. Ik he js kinda experimenting around but i feel like his old albums were way better. It js feels kinda forced honestly and wasn’t a big fan. Gaslight is great tho and i think ghost is pretty good.
i really didnt wanna come here to hate but ive got a few things to say: 1. i understand that some of the songs have very bad lyrics but in songs like stranger thats kinda the point its not supposed to have good lyrics and its just a fun song to LISTEN, not every song needs to have deep good lyrics. And also in the same song where u complained about the thought thought thought thought part, like have u ever heard of just a catchy hook? It whoudve been a lot less catchy if he had some random lyrics there. 2. If a song is similar to another song or another artist you dont have to always just call it a cheap ripoff 3. Why do you nitpick about the smallest details, like a small sample that you cant even hear if u dont look for things to nitpick abt, why cant u just vibe to the song, like the electric guitars in easier were objectivelly if you were to ask a 100 random people if they thought that was good, probably atleast 95 of the people whould say they enjoyed it 4.this isnt ur fault for not knowing but easier is the final track change is a bonus track btw 5.Why do you have to repeat the same nitpick for example in burn the "burnout" for the entirety o the track does that small db change really bother u so much that u cant enjoy the rest of the song withiout mentioning another ten times that that bothers u 6. U said a lot of times in this "i whould prefer this go a diffrent way.." and than called the song bad because of the thing YOU whould rather hear, for example most people whould much rather have a crazy gutar part and everything instead of an acoustic song but because YOU whould prefer an acoustic version you sad that that was bad. 7.if u didnt know this was boywithuke you whould probably like it a lot more cuz we can see that you were searching for things to not like. ofc this is all just my opinion but yeah sorry for the yap
@idkitsmario I skimmed through this since I'm at work and I will read it in full later, bit for point 7) even if it was a different artist, I'd feel the same about the songs. Saying I was trying to look for things I didn't like undermines the many good things I pointed out
Dude is on EVERY boywithuke reaction commenting. I admit, most of this video is mostly nitpicking and unnecessary hate, but a lot of the criticism was valid. Everyone has a different taste in music, so don't attack him for stating his opinion on the artist you are clearly a superfan of.
26:15. i do like top too. but like isnt it just the whole lore songs. like e.g. just stressed out. you shouldnt have to understand the lore to get lyrics, shouldnt you?
Hi, I think it is good that you say your honest opinion. But the sound on the last song that you didn't like bc it reminded you of Post Malone was just ONE NOTE. He did not copy him ok it is ONE NOTE, things like this happen, there are probably millions of songs that humans have written and it is just natural that some sound similar or share the same melody, synth and so on. D: That was a bit too mean. I'm not mad at you for any other thing that you said exept for this.
I will say I'm not mad that he used the same sample. Artists literally do it all thr the time and it's fine. For me that was just a fun thing of recognizing a sound from a song that has a significant meaning to me. In no way me saying "ah it's the same sound" is saying oh he directly copied post malone so this song sucks. Every musical artist copies eachother and it's fine
Lol
Please watch the genius open mic performance of Ghost, I think you'd love it
Ok i have some things to say.
4. Ghost’s “I think she thinks im on the spectrum” line was not to be funny or rude or anything like that but because he was actually asked if he was autistic by a girl he was talking to
there were alot of things you said that i personally dont agree with but also alot of things i do agree with. if you have any questions regarding boywithuke feel free to ask me because i most likely could give you an answer. i also noticed a lot of problems you had was i think because you didn’t understand his past and the lore.
anyway thats all, great reaction ill drop a like.
bro was cooking so hard, and i fucking agree
definitely agreed
you also forgot to add that Change wasn't the last song in the album. Change is the bonus track. I agree with all of this though
the autotune in easier is bcuz he couldnt hit the note
@@TheOfficialMul thats on only one single line he couldnt hit in the screaming voice

“Please react to this”
“Okay”
“Wait not like that”
brother, this reaction doesn't even have that many foundations, the problem is that he criticizes so much without knowing that it's shit, we ask for a reaction with research, not without knowing anything and criticizing because yes, I respect that music is not for him, but man , he is simply not obliged to listen to it, a bit bad reaction

1:27:38 why do I like this album? that is a great question actually
i'm both a boywithuke and a twenty one pilots fan. i know their entire discography and a good amount of "unreleased" songs for both artists
i couldn't possibly explain why i like the album to somebody who doesn't - i just do.
I can explain good qualities i see in the invididual songs though, and why it appeals to me
(another thing to mention is that i have types of audio synesthesia, so overall, these songs sound more immersive. i couldn't really explain it to anyone who doesn't have it)
this is kind of a yap session but i genuinely want to explain why i like this album to anyone who is curious and wants to read all of it.
Coffee: this one is also a little odd. another one of my least favorites, but i still like it. how i see it is that he's on a date with a girl at a cafe, and he's talking about his life to her. it also kind of serves as an explanation to whoever is listening to the song about what's going on with BoyWithUke and why he's changing (a big part of this album is change. he's changing his style of music, he's changing his name, taking off the mask, etc). the last part of the song is my favorite though, where it goes an octave lower then completely switches. that part is a vibe imo
Paper Planes: i like the instrumental. and this song has sort of a deep meaning. i dont really know what else to say about this song tbh. it's really different from his usual vibe.
Petrichor (interlude): it is kinda long for an interlude😭 i like that calming vibe though, after all of those 8 "not so calm" songs. it's a nice vibe switch. the lyrics are relatable too. has a lot of symbolism
Pitfall: i actually think this song is really interesting and unique. i don't think it's basic at all. the synths add a lot to it. and i really like the vocals on this song too. the last part has a lot going on too. again, this song has a lot to do with change and letting go of his past
Corduroy: this song is my favorite off the album. the lyrics are very relatable to me and hit hard. it has that buildup from the verses that lead to just a burst of emotion. it hits. that's all i can say
Love Lost: yeah, i can see how this song could be seen as boring. but for me, this song evokes _emotion._ it's a mix of internal conflict.
Interesting, thanks for sharing :)
i know you
Love lost is my favorite in the album and I can completely understand why people think it's boring. It's not as flashy as paper planes or pitfall, but it knows what it wants to be, and the lyrics are clearly the focus. The beat is sufficient enough to make the lyrics more powerful, and you can feel his internal conflict.
also, the "final song" is actually a bonus track, Easier was the real closer
@selloutwithnosoul ok that is really really dumb. If it's meant as a bonus track, it should be labeled as (Bonus Track) or save it for a deluxe edition with a couple bonus tracks.

I am a hypocrite with that cause I listened to a song by Darko US that had a moan in it before a breakdown and I thought it went so hard lol
W reaction
Btw, do you have some tips for his production of the songs?
brother, that's what it was, an EXPERIMENTAL album, it's a new style and he's learning to use it, this man definitely made unnecessary criticisms, some of them had foundations and meanings but brother, if you don't understand the album and you don't enjoy it, why listen to it? I mean, I wasn't forced or pointing a gun to react to it.
He wasn’t the one who produced or really wrote gaslight btw it’s the one song on burnout not made by him it’s more so made by the artist “roe kapara” and the producer “dan farber”
Hey town
Hi town how u been
Idk, some things you didn't like in the song I think give some charm to the songs, like, the dubstap at the end of change starts growing at the beginning of the song, but dies down, but then it tries to come back again, and after a while it dies down again, and finally "i promise we can handle change" and the song completely changes to a dubstap that was trying to appear from the beginning...
I can get that about Clancy, but you've gotta at least give it to next semester, song is one of the best
But yeah... burnout is better definitely

Actually 54:05 , the “ukulele” is just a guitar on the 9th fret
the way he said "WE FOUND THE UKULELE"... 🤣
34:00
"you know the Drums sound good in this"
Me who knows that the drums go away in the next line: >:)
When Boywithuke, as you said did good lyrics (Lucid Dreams) - "I dont like judging lyrics"
When Boywithuke does Burnout - WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE LYRICS
I know that it's just your opinion, and I really like your "good ear" - that you can hear those background effects, but sometimes I feel like you dont treat artists equally. Saturday by TØP has this weird stop which I've never heard you judge, but when it comes to a boywithukes drum-fill you are really neat picky, which bothers me a bit. Even tho I still want to thank you for this reaction
The weird stop is my favorite part of the song lol
@@CalebCarterY2KStreams yeah that part is cool
Maybe he likes the stop but not the bwu song?
@hdsnblu lmfao exactly
easier is supposed to be the last song but for some reason he made change a bonus track meaning that change is the last somg
For a bit of context, he is not going to be boywithuke anymore. he is rebranding to i believe is his Korean name "Chandol" and is retiring the uke per se. this was very experimental and i do think a lot better than his old music especially production wise. also enjoyed listening to your negative feedback because i love to hear what critiques and criticism there is.
ps change is technically an extra song so easier IS the last song
he dosent rlly need to know these things he dosent like bwu anyways he talks shit bout it
@@impatientlittlecookie he doest like the music not the artist and i just wanted to give some context on the very scattered music and strange choices. also i wouldn't say it's talking shit id just say he criticizes it a lot (just dont be rude ab it basically)
btw, corduroy is played on guitar. it's just 9th fret i guess
okay, my opinion on the reaction:
1. Brother, if you don't like Charley (which, by the way, you can see from the beginning) you are not obliged to listen to him
2.well you're already listening to it but wait a minute, at least you did a little research on boywhituke's past and his lyrics, well I think it's not the truth, and it can be seen since you start criticizing harshly and without real foundations.
3.CRITICISM:
WELL, there's a lot to talk about here, in short, you gave a good review but, most of it was baseless and very harsh, I feel that you didn't take enough time to understand the lyrics and especially to know more about boywhituke, some of them didn't even They didn't even make sense, and the truth is that this reaction felt too forced because you could see pure and simple boredom on your face (by the way, which again is bullshit, you weren't forced to react if you didn't want to)
4.RHYTHM CHANGES: I see you criticize the lyrics a lot, especially the rhythm changes and oh my god that sucks, oh my god YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT, OH MY GOD YOU'RE SO DUMB, with all due respect and again, no You didn't even take a minute to research boywhituke and his life, the album is very strange, because it is an experiment, he is entering a new style, and he no longer uses the chew or the ukulele, so it is normal that I experiment with these changes, which by the way for all the fans sounded great and pure living fire, so this is just a taste of what is to come, and that is why I decided to experiment so much with the sounds
5.THE LYRICS: okay in case you didn't know BURNOUT GOES THROUGH STAGES, the first half is pure desperation, paranoia, fuckboy stage and denial, which can be seen in lyrics like stranger, burn, backseat and paper planes, and the second half is calmer and it is the stage of acceptance, that is why the lyrics are softer and let's say it calmly and not with so much anger, stranger is the fuckboy stage at its maximum point, backseat the same, coffee has many details about his personal life, the breakup with his girlfriend and his mask, and at the same time it is an interlude that prepares the drums for paper planes, petrichor is in a way a song that shows his feelings in a calm way, pitfall is about him letting go of boywhituke and all that, although at the same time it has lyrics about things that are very personal, that's why a lot of lyrics about his mom and his ex-girlfriend, corduroy and love lost are the acceptance of these stages, (which by the way Corduroy is very sweet and one of the best on the album) and easier and change are the transition from him to his new name, CHANDOL, which the pitfall mv shows
5.BURNOUT IN GENERAL: this album is about him facing his problems, repercussions that he had when he left the mask, breakup with his ex-girlfriend to more personal topics such as things from his childhood such as his mother who is mentioned in several places, and above all It is a very experimental album, a very good album in my opinion and it exceeded my expectations, I love Charley and I will support him in everything he does
LASTLY, FROM THIS LONG REVIEW, I consider that your reaction is good, you gave good points of view and it is seen that you know about music, I RECOMMEND YOU INVESTIGATE THE SUBJECT BEFORE SAYING OR DOING ANYTHING, and finally if you do not like something feel free not to do it, I respect that it is not your type of artist and your opinion, but for the love of god, DO NOT MAKE DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM WITHOUT FIRST HAVING INVESTIGATED IT SINCE YOU GAVE SEVERAL UNNECESSARY THINGS AND WITHOUT ANY FOUNDATION, anyway good reaction, unfortunately it will drop a dislike, continue with your content, you have the potential for this, improve as a person and as a reacter, and I will give a better point of view and more focused on the good things about you, thank you if you read this and finally, I LOVE YOU CHARLEY ;)
Bue tremendo testamento
the end of change has him gasping for air as if he has something to say but it stops, i feel like he's gonna pick up from that in the first song from chandol
as a boywithuke fan i can agree that some of the takes are a bit nitpicky but i dont think we should miss the fact that he isnt a boywithuke fan so he doesnt really know more then what he has heard about the songs but he also hasnt really spent hours upon hours of time listening and loving and connecting to these songs and the fact that this is supposed to be a reaction video so he is supposed to be talking about things he like and dont like about the songs, really love these reaction videos from him icl one of few 1 hour long videos i can actually think about watching even tho i dont agree with everything but that is fine cuz music is opinion based.
gonna edit this every time i have an opinion to say
edit 1
he doesnt know the story about the album so obviously stranger and such will be VERY weird to see
edit 2
a sad thing is that he probably knows ukey as this edgy immature guy just writing some ukulele songs so he already has some thoughts and expectations of him in a bad way. there are some songs on burnout that has a big TOP vibe wich he still gonna nitpick a bit due to the fact that its boywithuke and not tyler
edit 3
''it doesnt know what it want to be'' i think charley knows what he wanted to do and he put a lot of variation in songs wich FULLY understandable that he doesnt like that cuz that is a 50/50 thing, either you hate it or you love it. personally i love the constant switches and all the shit that constantly is happening
edit 4
he seems to mistake guitar for ukulele a bit, there is barely any ukulele in this album and the 2 instances where you find ukulele in it you wont even be able to notice it
edit 5
as a devoted corduroy stan with it being my fav song of all time, im happy you gave it a good rating ilysm
W comment
aint no way he called pitfall generic
also lovelost is called LOVE LOST for a reason
he likes her and doesnt hes lost
ty for doing this ❤
I actually hate coffee so much idk man, I personally like the rest of the album to varying degrees and I'm so glad to see your opinions cause sometimes you need to be reminded what you listen isn't for everyone
it sounds unintentional tbh
@@Tobias_willams i need to rant abt how bad coffee is omg
like the guitar bit isnt that bad but the lyrics to the verse to the entirely different song 3/4ths through the runtime is atrocious
i heard the tiktok and i THOUGHT it would be my fav of the album but then the ending just ruined it for me
Coffee is too bad when I first heard it (MLS) I expected it to be so much better [vocally] cuz the instrumental is amazing but the ending wasn't that good..
@Sarii-312 same bro coffee was my fav one out of all but it was wasted..
Says he TØP fan but didn’t notice the the reference in burn (now I jus sit in silence)
Lol
The Cocaine vegans part is a sample from like a war veteran I think
54:03 that’s a guitar there is no uke on this album except for a little bit in ghost
For the vocals he used two different mics for the songs so it may sound different a lot of the time
i think bros in a bad mood before reacting, just hate everything at stranger 😭
i’m a boywithuke fan and imma be more mature and say that this reaction isn’t bad, but some of the lyrics that you mentioned were bad, there’s a whole story behind it which i won’t explain since you probably wouldn’t care (not in a bad way, but because your opinion) and this entire album is experimental as it’s his first ever album to not include boywithuke and with the new production
1:06:04 i believe it the ambiance in the background is the noise of a train station i like it imo
Plz don’t attack me but I agree with everything he says about coffee and thanks for reacting to the album :D
I respect you dislike this album or even some of my favorite songs in it, but you were just too harsh and seemed forced to do it
First half is a nightmare, besides warplanes
I listened to it and it's alright
1:19:30 im pretty sure that just how a guitar sounds lol
1st objective review
Is this sarcastic cuz if not i agree
@ not rlly
The songs are in order of how he experienced things in life, like how he hated the mask. The songs have a deeper story behind them. That's what this album is for and you're just kinda talking shit about him. As you have said: this album isn't for you, but that doesn't mean everyone thinks so. Cause you said really harsh things about the songs man.
if a song is similar to another song dosent mean its a ripoff like bro do u even know the word "inspired"?
at stranger, you said that the "thought thought dadadada" part shouldve been instrumental break or smth, now at easier you said the instrumental break was unnecessary what do u want :v
Exactlyyy broo
why is everything in this album a knock off in your eyes? you're not looking at the album with a critical view, you're already biased and just comparing the music to others saying, "Oh AJR could've done this better". Kinda rude imo
It’s all opinions man - while i disagree with the AJR take i do think his opinion is valid
@ I’m mainly making a comparison between for example: looking at the Mona Lisa and saying yeah this a like, but this I don’t and yadada compared to: yeah I think this artist would’ve done better if they drew the Mona Lisa instead
Not really arguing about his opinion since it’s objective, but the way to speak about it is what I’m kinda annoyed by.
@@zecyr got it
Pretty good reaction; I enjoy reacters who actually criticize albums.
I agree
Stranger he has said is not supposed to be taken seriously.
Who's going tell him that it's all acoustic guitar and there's actually no ukulele in this album
In my opinion corduroy is the best song in the entire album by a pretty big margin
AYYYY W IM SO GLAD YOU DID THIS, THIS MADE MY DAYYY
hated on stranger wayyy to hard bro that shit is fire
bro does not know what he is talking about
The line
its okay to criticize but at easier? bro looks so disgusted atleast dont show us that
Totally agree with burn lines being brought out.
The lyrics are kinda wrong tbh
him not understanding the coffee transition is so sad
idk if you know but there is no uke in this album except ghost just letting you know.
The ole chant was when he was live in Europe I think
Me personally i love the album
Just putting my opinion hopefully this doesn’t make anyone mad.
bro is so biased its wild.
1.) the songs are just Boywithukes style of his songs
2.) not all his songs are the best, but like you make it sound like he killed 2 people
3.) he does know what his songs want to be
4.) only ghost, gaslight, and pitfall have music videos
5.) I mean a lot of people say that this is his best album
Everything is fine, I just want to say that Spotify lyrics are not always correct lyrics.
As for the album, I really liked the main styles of the songs but sometimes I was missing the "sharpness", like sometimes everything is so "blurred" I would say. For example, I really liked the acoustic version of Love Lost that he played during one of his tiktok streams (iirc), but the actual digital release was a little bit worse for me. The "demo" version grabbed my soul, but the release version couldn't. And it kinda applies to many songs in album.
I’m getting 2015 Clique flashbacks from BoyWithUke fans’ reactions to your video💀
I’m sorry I promise we’re not all like this
For real man 😭
27:14 what was that?!!?😃 NoOoO?😭😭😭 its actually him its not a sample.
59:51 bro do you have problems with family? why did you react like that when he talked about his mother??
@fNicks I guess that was just a me thing of comparing a significant other to your mother. I don't think I've ever compared my last long term girlfriend to my mother except in a joking "you're being very bossy" way.
@@JLAnderson_Music even though you know theres a search that says that people are more often attracted to partners that remind them of their mothers?
@fNicks I did mention that earlier in the video, and yeah it's still cringe to me cause there's waaaay more romantic things someone can say
yeah kinda a stupid thing to get mad about
just a reminder bro dont show us that you feel disgusted it just disrespects yk
edit: 1:21:11 and bro just said gross like bro 😭
Criticism and hate are different😃 stop hating and make a better album!
A lot of the criticism can be said for Clancy as well
Trust me I know. I don't like the synth on Midwest Indigo, the hawk in vignette, the whole ass minute of birds in Paladin among other things.
boywithuke is tøp inspired a lil
i’ve been a bwu fan since the beginning, but honestly, this album was disappointing. Ik he js kinda experimenting around but i feel like his old albums were way better. It js feels kinda forced honestly and wasn’t a big fan. Gaslight is great tho and i think ghost is pretty good.
Yeah there’s a couple good songs
i really didnt wanna come here to hate but ive got a few things to say:
1. i understand that some of the songs have very bad lyrics but in songs like stranger thats kinda the point its not supposed to have good lyrics and its just a fun song to LISTEN, not every song needs to have deep good lyrics. And also in the same song where u complained about the thought thought thought thought part, like have u ever heard of just a catchy hook? It whoudve been a lot less catchy if he had some random lyrics there.
2. If a song is similar to another song or another artist you dont have to always just call it a cheap ripoff
3. Why do you nitpick about the smallest details, like a small sample that you cant even hear if u dont look for things to nitpick abt, why cant u just vibe to the song, like the electric guitars in easier were objectivelly if you were to ask a 100 random people if they thought that was good, probably atleast 95 of the people whould say they enjoyed it
4.this isnt ur fault for not knowing but easier is the final track change is a bonus track btw
5.Why do you have to repeat the same nitpick for example in burn the "burnout" for the entirety o the track does that small db change really bother u so much that u cant enjoy the rest of the song withiout mentioning another ten times that that bothers u
Saying I was trying to look for things I didn't like undermines the many good things I pointed out
@idkitsmario i totally agree. (still liked the review tho)
bro CAN'T accept criticism 💀
Dude is on EVERY boywithuke reaction commenting. I admit, most of this video is mostly nitpicking and unnecessary hate, but a lot of the criticism was valid. Everyone has a different taste in music, so don't attack him for stating his opinion on the artist you are clearly a superfan of.
@@JLAnderson_Music Honestly its a great take because i love seeing different perspectives
The dance at 11:00 goes crazy 🤣
26:15. i do like top too. but like isnt it just the whole lore songs. like e.g. just stressed out. you shouldnt have to understand the lore to get lyrics, shouldnt you?
"double voices" bruh so do you want him to normalize on using autotune than just his signature voice stacking?
Hi, I think it is good that you say your honest opinion.
But the sound on the last song that you didn't like bc it reminded you of Post Malone was just ONE NOTE.
He did not copy him ok it is ONE NOTE, things like this happen, there are probably millions of songs that humans have written and it is just natural that some sound similar or share the same melody, synth and so on. D:
That was a bit too mean.
@JLAnderson_Music okay!
