Yeeaa, I myself am 30 with heart failure and sometimes have blood clots. I think I have one now but cant afford more doctor fees so I am hoping it doesn't travel...
Stories like these really allow one to appreciate being in good health, so many take it for granted.
5 months late but your lucky I almost died in the hospital with not a lot blood cells I had a bone marrow problem and I’m still sick but still feeling better than before

I feel so sad for this man, the first time I heard about this I thought he survived and that while a horrible experience it would be one of the worlds greatest stories to tell. I suppose I should've realized that if you had this much blood in your lungs you'd probably have more problems than just the blood clot.

This reminds me of the guy who had the pine tree grow in his lung for years before it was surgically removed and he survived the whole ordeal. I feel bad for this young man who passed and do think the medication may have played a major roll in this.
Oh yeah! I had completely forgotten about that until this reminder. Not in the exact same page but I remember reading about an older guy who had a little toy traffic cone in his lungs for like decades, just living life like always, before it started to cause any real noticable issues.

Lung pain certainly ain’t a joke but there’s much worse. Not to be insensitive on my part either. I’ve always heard a ruptured brain aneurysm feels like the most painful headache unimaginable. But yes it is a rather impressive bronchial cast, there’s some that are even more intact that show even better detail. Eventually the bronchioles get so small though that the cast would be too fragile to be coughed up perfectly intact. It’s amazing how intricate the lungs are

I broke two ribs coughing when I had double pneumonia. I was in respiratory ICU for 17 days. I coughed up blood during this illness and yes it is beyond scary. I was on pain killers foe the ribs but they can't give you too much since they restrict breathing. It was misery. The idiotic part was I worked for over 2 weeks. More worried about my job and paying for INSANE medical bills. My advice DO NOT WAIT. Now years later I have SEVERE asthma and emphysema. Common sense tells you your lungs are vital yet we ignore coughs and colds that can progress to much more serious things. In all honesty would me dying have been worth not calling into work...
HELL NO. They would move on and I'd be dead. So bottom line....to hell with a job that doesn't help you when your sick. Worry about YOU. NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.

If it helps, he died of end stage heart failure and the clot was caused by the anti-coagulants he was on for it. He didn’t die from the clot :) It probably sucked yo cough up but apparently he felt better afterwards
