Auto tune completely changes the sound of your voice and slides the note up completely. Pitch correction just fixes little imperfections and only slides small parts of the note. I guarantee you that pretty much ALL of your favorite artists use pitch correction and you don't know it. Coming from a guy who is an audio engineer.
