Yes... there IS a difference. The ebony is good (use them myself), but the bone gives this subtle "shimmer" to the notes. You perceive especially clearly in the highs when further up the neck. I am now very inclined to (finally) try on my J45. Thanks much for the demo!

There is absolutely a difference. The bone pins offer up far more overtones and upper partial harmonics. Great playing and demo!
For that guitar the bone pins sound way better to me

I also prefer the sound of the bone bridge pins on mahogany topped guitars.
