- Johnny Depp testified that no woman has ever accused him of domestic violence before Amber Heard levied the allegations at the end of their marriage. Depp, testifying in his defamation trial against Heard, said there was no truth to her allegations but that didn't change the negative reaction from people in Hollywood. Depp also described the heartbreak of having to tell his children about the allegations before they read it in People magazine.

A family member of mine used to manage private islands for celebrities and did so for Johnny, and the two became good friends. My parents and I wanted to come visit over winter break. That happened to be one of the few weeks Johnny was there. We were all surprised he was okay with us visiting, and SHOCKED because he spent the whole week doing normal things with our family that I’m sure he’s done a million times, snorkeling, riding jet skis, etc.
I️ was too young to have ANY idea just how famous he was, so it didn’t seem like a huge deal, he was just my uncle’s boss, but I️ knew he was a movie star.
One specific thing I’ll NEVER forget from that trip was one day after snorkeling my hair got so knotted up, it was a nightmare.
We were all in his beach house and while the other adults watched a movie in the theater room, he spent at LEAST an hour gently and carefully combing the tangles out, joking with me about how between his daughter’s hair, and Jack Sparrow’s hair, he’s a PRO a detangling. Then he told me about his family (I’m only a year older than his daughter) and how much he missed them.
He was on the island for three weeks to prep for getting back into the role of Jack Sparrow (he’s a method actor) and he spent the first week getting to know my family, even doing utterly mundane things like playing scrabble.
This man doesn’t have a malicious bone in his body.
Sounds like it was a blast!

I was seven, and my family still picks on me (which is why I’m able to paraphrase the convo so well) because halfway through the trip I️ turned to him and said “Are you SURE you’re a movie star??” And he laughed and said “If I’m not they really should stop paying me. Why do you ask?” And I️ said “Because you just seem so normal. I️ thought movie stars were always fancy.” And he said (something along the lines of) “I️’ll tell you a secret. When you look at pictures of glamorous people on magazine covers, maybe 60% of them are truly happy. Every single one comes home exhausted, kicks their shoes off, and puts on pajamas just like anyone else. The only difference is their house, shoes and pajamas cost WAY more.”
I’ve thought about that a lot throughout this trial. He’s been smiling through a lot of pain for a large amount of his career.

@@RamoArt First of all, my PARENTS AND I️ spent a little over a week on the island the FIRST time we visited. My uncle worked there happily for eight years, and the only reason he left was because he got a job offer to manage an island in a different part of the world and his ultimate dream was to travel.
We visited four times after the first, once just so I️ could meet Lily-Rose because at that point I️ called Johnny “uncle Johnny” and Lily and I️ were both a bit older and he thought her having a friend that knew her dad was famous and didn’t care because they’d grown up seeing him in a different capacity would be good for her, Lily and I️ stayed pen pals for a few years after my uncle took the new job.
Second of all, it’s a figure of speech. ANYONE can be mean, even cruel, depending on the situation, and I never claimed this comment was anything other than anecdotal evidence, behaviors I witnessed first hand than for against every facet of the story Amber is painting (aside from the drug and alcohol use, I would have been too young to notice.)
But very few people go about their day to day lives with malicious intent. For those that do, a path of destruction tends to follow them while they remain unscathed. Johnny’s story isn’t one of ONLY good deeds, no one’s is. But he isn’t a malicious man, and he isn’t a narcissistic man. He’s just a man that acts in movies, being abused by a malicious and narcissistic woman.

It's honestly amazing how complete polar opposites Johnny and Amber's lawyers are.
She also is extremely professional. I'm amazed heards lawyers were allowed to continue without intervention by the judge. At certain points, heards lawyers led her so much they essentially were performing her testimony for her.

I would like to thank Johnny for this trial my son has been in an abusive relationship with a physically beautiful woman in his case older than him but he could not see he was a victim until he listened to this trial and now he sees it clearly that he is a victim..so thank you to Johnny and all those who see amber for the liar and manipulater she is..so even though he may not of intended to help so many he has so if he loses this he still wins .Thank you

@Jana Gancheva Dr ramani also is perhaps helpful. Sam Vaknin, a narcissist himself but manageable and his work is certainly valuable. Only today I told a friend who is clueless to this case and narcissism as a whole why this is so significant right now. Many are unaware to it's timing and its part in a true shifting of pattens we are playing. The more know of narcissism the more we stop feeding them, heal ourselves and grow, as a being. As sad and heartbreaking this is, this can serve to help others in a big way and shed serious light on how LOW women can also go and why just because a woman claims something doesn’t automatically mean she is right!! Some truly do take horrendous advantage of that very fact. As a woman I’m just beyond disgusted. Imagine if you were getting daily death threats, being called a Turd and told your baby would be microwaved. Every time Depp smiles and snickers, it adds a sense of approval to this behaviour. He's getting the public vote and that's what he wants, doesn't care how he gets it...microwaved baby or not.
She wasn't crying or upset during any of his testimony.... her fake tears only came through when she testified. Even then, they stopped when there was an objection and she had to start her story again. For all people who have been in abusive relationships... this is an absolute insult. What a joke on her part.

I really believe that she came up with the abuse story because she wanted more money out of Him! She’s all about the money & the fake that he could help her into! I’ve never seen one abused woman including “myself” set & eyeball the very man whom “supposedly beat on them for 14 years!! After watching the trial I honestly have no doubts at all that She faked that bruise! (I’ve had quite a few good black eyes & a broke nose & like the other witnesses said, “You Cannot Hide The Swelling!” That is a fact! I’ve tried hard to hide it all for years! Not even big sunglasses & lots of makeup will hide the fact that a man punched you in the face!! Funny that she had a baby after he wouldn’t take her back! Seems like if a woman lived a man so much she’d had a baby with him in those 14 years! An estranged husband of mine hacked into my computer, sent an email to all my friends, relatives, old and new business associates accusing me of stealing funds from the business, a projection of his own behaviours. I was able to prove where every penny from the business went, yet no apologies from that narcissistic psycho husband was forthcoming. It was a cushy life with him, but he underestimated me - I don’t sell myself and/or my soul to anyone or for anything! I thank God everyday for having given me the strength and opportunity to walk away from that devil incarnate.

@@Rome__king to be fair, while this case is.getting lots of attention, the percentage of abuse victims, which are disproportionately more likely to be female, that lie about abuse or sexual violence is very small. We should still be taking victims at their word unless solid evidence is presented to prove otherwise. Its not so much that the country is incapable of holding women accountable, it's that for almost 200 years women were treated as much a piece of property as people of color were, and in big cases with lots of attention like this, even though she's absolutely in the wrong and not only was the abuser pushing false abuse claims, but manufactured a narrative to ruin his life and career; however, this case, while Johnny deserves his life, career, and justice, is shitting all over ACTUAL victims and is emboldening toxic masculinity and patriarchal ideologists to think it's fine to call any woman that comes forward as a DV/SA survivor a liar. Lily Rose did not attend her dad’s wedding because she could see who Amber was back then, so heartbreaking for Johnny to realize how blind he was to Amber’s manipulation and how this affected his entire family. Johnny and Amber called it the "monster" within Johnny that was well under control most of the time, but came out mainly under the influence of cocaine and alcohol.
It is possible that he was triggered by the specific substances or by Amber's personality. They developed a certain pattern of fighting with each other.
The same would not happen with every woman, and I believe Vanessa Paradis when she says that Johnny was not violent in their years together.
That is why they are hitting the drugs and alcohol so hard for Depp. They presuppose that illicit behavior precipitates abuse. They want us to believe his career was already tanking because of it, and it led him to the abusive behavior Heard alleges. The fact that they cannot, no matter how hard they try, corroborate Depp as an abuser by any other past girlfriend or wife blows that theory a part. (Especially since Depp has used drugs and alcohol
since youth.) Ellen Barkin is supposed to testify, and she dated Depp for a time in the bad old days. I don’t know if she will be a rebuttal witness or what.
As an introvert myself, I can feel the pain, the ache, and the anguish this man is going through to have to go in front of all those strangers and speak about his private life to the public. And to see that snake sitting there portraying a victim when she's the victimiser is sickening beyond belief.

I had to provide evidence against my son's father. We both had to come before the judge but he was sooo stupid. He was lying so much that he told on himself. Judge was like "by your own words you hit and strangled her. You admitted to knocking the baby out her arms" so a three year injunction was ordered.
This is insane... This woman has recorded him puking... Who the hell does that???! We know he drank a lot... What is She trying to do? This is a trial of defamation itself... Its already proved by This what This devil wants
Contrary, this is much worse than alcohol.
He was sick due to his withdrawls, literally the main reason his nurse kept a steady small supply of opioids.
During one of his withdraws he pleaded and begged for amber to give him his meds and rather than help or show mercy, she grabbed her phone and started recording.
I've never had withdrawals from opioids but from what I've learned it's one one of the worst. Second only to heroin. Severe alcohol withdraws literally cause seizures.
Makes me sick.
He had to tell the world how helpless and in pain he was while amber stood by and watched him shiver, cry, and vomit. His brain and body are basically fighting each other during this time, leaving him with severe body aches and loss of balance and mobility.
I know its a lot to read and take in. But I really must be blunt because she knows all this, she saw all this, and she took advantage of him at every vulnerable moment she could find.
But yeah, wasn't the alcohol mate. That's a super easy fix. Someone hiding your bottle of pills? Not easy. Those take time to receive and per their prescription the doctor can only give you "x amount" and within a strict time frame. If you're allowed 30 pills each month, and you end up taking more doses than you normally would, you'd run out right? Well they legally have to make you wait. And if someone hid your pills or threw them out? You gotta wait.

I can't imagine apologising to your own kids because of potential mockery and bullying they will receive due to having the reputation of a chaotic monster when you're actually innocent. I recall finding out in court I was accused of violence toward my ex and I secretly cried in the bathroom. I'm not sure why, it was like I felt overwhelming guilt for something I didn't do. All I could think about what the times she hit me and a time when she had me cornered and kept telling me to hit her. I couldn't ever. It's a horrible feeling being accused of something like that. That was during a custody case, and I've had sole custody since my daughter was a baby.
For the judge to give you sole custody, that right there tells us your whole story! I'm so glad that the judge was observant enough to give the child a safe home to be raised in.

I follow this case so closely as I was in a similar position. JD used the term “erased”. I know just how that REALLY feels. The feeling you are a target from someone you loved or trusted. The gaslighting - and the smell of evil / malice - it’s like something you can’t shake or forget. It causes real trauma - PTSD in my case, to the point of wanting to be erased. I truly recognise lots of tell tale signs of JD being traumatised by waves of spite and malice. Confusion in finding words. Unable to justify where the hatred came from. Stammering. Classic survivor of narcissistic abuse. This trial will be seminal in our understanding of how character assassination is a threat - used mostly by BPD women it appears - to try to control child and/or financial outcomes.

This is because he is dissmissive avoidant and they learn at a young age to internalise their emotions, because their experiences were invalidated from their caregivers, by having some sort of emotional neglect or physical absence or abuse.. growing up ..
It's very common for avoidants to be 'users' because it's an insecure attachment...Amber is Cluster B which is an anxious attachment style and naturally this is a very common tramua bond ... anxious form attachments to avoidants..and when they aren't showing emotional support they feel abandoned and rejected.
Avoidants find it easier showing their support to their partners through physical support such as affection and providing for them.
Anxious attachments biggest fear is rejection from childhood and tend to not respect boundaries in relationships and during conflict "fight" whereas avoidants tend to "flight" hence when the Emotional demand gets too much ...hence why Johnny would remove himself from the situation during conflict.

It amazes me how biased the system is. It took AH a few lines in a newspaper to portray herself as a DV victim. It took JD five years, two legal suits, a whole team of lawyers, hard evidence, a lot of witnesses, and what I imagine to be a massive amount of money just to clear his name. Not to mention that all that does not guarantee that he will get compensated for his loss as a result of defamation. I wonder what would happen for men who go through similar scenarios as JD but don't have similar resources to clear their names.
Their lives are destroyed, they do jail time for imaginary abuse, and are for the rest of their lives branded as a felon for beating women. Like me.

Johnny's testimony made me feel so sad. It would be humiliating to have that really bad stuff written about him in various publications. I initially believed the accusations against him even though I'm a big fan. I'm glad that he brought this case against Amber to the public. She incriminated herself with those tapes she made. And her testimony on the witness stand made me sick. It appeared that she was "acting" a role. And she didn't do a good job either. May Johnny restore his reputation and I hope his career will thrive again. I really miss Captain Jack Sparrow. Good Luck Johnny! 👍 💗
I'm relived to find out and excited to share that Amber will be facing charges in Australia after this court case is over. The maximum sentence for her charges is 10 years prison. Rejoice.
And no it has nothing to do with this current court case. But everything to do with Amber and Johnny's Australia trip where she lied and said it wasn't her idea or fault for taking her dogs with her illegally.
That is a problem in and of itself. However the bulk of her charges have to with with forging documents and convincing others to sign them and lie on her behalf. Those emails are now made public wheres she's talking to a lawyer who tried to warn and discourage her about lying under oath and basically blackmailing people in order for them to say they were responsible and not her.

I so empathise. I was rescued by Police and local service, classed as at extremely at risk and vulnerable following very long term domestic abuse, and placed in a safe house for 2 years. I lost everything but worked hard and rebuilt my life but 10 years later, although I know many women, I still don't have the confidence to enter into a new relationship and have remained single ever since. I am 65 the abuse started in 1978.

As a survivor, listening to him testify with all the pauses is him trying not to crack with his abuser in the room. This takes him back to his childhood. He’s visibly not comfortable. Everyone owes this man an apology. I feel so horrible he had to explain this to his children, and then AH had THE AUDACITY to say she was “protective” over them but called them “little weirdos”

I want to thank this man, Mr, Depp for standing strong and bringing light to a situation that is so often ignored in society on so many levels, from male abuse to the reaction the world initially gave Mr Depp, how Hollywood black listed this outstanding actor, Mr Depp you are my hero, you your Friends your family and fans are amazing.
I hadn’t seen this part of the testimony, it is truly, truly heartbreaking. I believe his sincerity during this part of testimony did make the jury take notice…but juries, you can never tell. I pray that Mr.Depp finds absolute justice.
I wish his attorneys would have rebuttled again after her lawyers finished. I don't know why not. I wanted his lawyers to bombard the jury where they reached a decision within 15 minutes. The rest of the time, they can have a nice dinner!

Yes of course I am a fan and a loyal supporter. Though we know you really don't need it, a fan supporting you that is. I have watched your acting career since the 1980s. I am 42 and A mom of five. My kids are aged 24,21,20,15,5. I would tell them the same thing. Something that is so hard to tell ourselves.
Personally, I whole heartedly believe you are a good man. You have a good soul and a personality and sense of humor that makes people want to be around you .
You deserve to be around people who make you feel as good as you can make people feel. Be it from your friends and family who know and love you, or fans who for a brief moment watch you bring a character to life and escape from everything else.
You deserve to be happy, inspired, free, enchanted and loved. All of that at the same time not one whithout the other. You deserve to have a life with smiles and laughter on and off screen and you certainly deserve to feel and know, you are appreciated for who you as a person are, and not for what your career has put in your account or attached to the sound of your name.
You deserve to want to play more music and regardless of a night at home or a night out, you deserve to look into the eyes of someone you love or care about, and know, that they feel the same way about you all the time.

I just watched the Johnny vs Amber documentary that was set around the UK trial and I’m so disgusted that, at that time amber was seen as the victim by everyone in the public and had all the support while Depp was seen as some monster. I’m so glad this trial was aired and the public got to see the evidence. Makes me happy to know she’s been unmasked for who she truly is. She must have felt very smug when everyone fell for her BS and bought it hook line and sinker. I don’t know if Johnny will win this case but at this point it doesn’t matter Amber Heard is done. I won’t be touching anything with her name on it. Mainstream media need to stop painting this woman as a victim and I’m so fed up with them claiming that anyone who doesn’t fall for her crap as just some Depp bimbo that’s too stupid to understand the evidence. Well I support Depp and I don’t care a jot about his celebrity status. Amber Heard has used metoo for her own sick purposes for attention, money and even got to be an ambassador who advocates for victims of DV. What a slap in the face to all the actual victims out there. She should be removed immediately as an ambassador for ACLU. I mean how can they justify keeping her in that role?
