I have a build suggestion for a video that might surprise you, Shattered ring worlds and trade habitats are a thing of the past as a new super OP trait got added to the game without anyone noticing. I am talking about the OVERTUNED trait COMMERCIAL GENIUS. It provides +25% TV from jobs (probably the best modifier possible for Trade empires) at just 1 trait point and -10 leader lifespan By itself its mediocre at best BUT it can be stacked with the other TV from jobs traits ( both thrifty and trading algorithms) AND you can double it s effects with the Damn the consequences edict for +100%TV from jobs which is overall 33% more TV compared to last patch. To make this even better you could use the merchant guilds council position buuuuut theres a better option. With the cosmogenesis crisis path you can acces fallen empire buildings that provide MERCHANTS just like in the good old days . As a bonus you can use elevated synapses and augumented intelligence ( with the edict ofc) for +60% research which can dramatically boost tech from OP crisis computer

@Ep3o 12:43 I've always used 1x tech cost, and probably always will. Yes, games are slower that way, but it makes technologies more meaningful, and forces you to prioritise. Of course I also play fairly suboptimally, prioritising RP over min-maxing. The AI is terrible as is, you as the player have significant advantages over them because the AI is non-adaptive and terrible at managing their empires. It just isn't fun for me to steam roll them, I want them to have a chance, this way I don't walk away having played just another game, but I walk away with a story. Often times, the best ones are when I lose to the AI because I was playing suboptimally. That isn't to say you can't play the game your way, this is just me.
I play at .5x because I don't like a single game taking more than 10 hours. Average game from start to 2450 on my computer takes about 8 hours when the tech cost is .5x, and that's with me playing most of the game on the fastest setting.
The unique megacorp civic that focuses on getting augmentations right off the bat seems like a fast avenue into this as well; tempted to try this with a voidborn origin and criminal heritage. Feels more cyberpunk.
If you play as driven assimilator and take cybernetic you can make a world that specialices in pop growth. But the effect is for all planets. I think that gives the highest pop growth in the game (ignoring virtual) i had around 30 for every planet.
if i'm remembering right from when i played it. i think you can only modify your sacred implant species yourself if you go down the path of combining all the religious factions. If you just pick one it'll give you a pre-determined "set" of trait's based on the one you picked. I think and the reason why some pops have it and some dont is i think only spiritualist ethic pops will have it? or something like that
I believe that tge Cybernetic Creed Spiritualist faction is unique in that regard - regular spiritualists will still loathe the implants to the point where they will ask you for a limited cyberisation option and still favour the psionics. Cybernetic Creed in a way mirrors the situation - in such empires spiritualist pop will get more advanced cybernetic traits instead.
Urgently need a mod for "servitorization" trait! How am I supposed to rollplay as Adeptus Mechanicus without the hordes of lobotomized cybernetic slaves?
Its CLAPS for Tech Rush! I Clapped the New Crisis no problem with it. Became the Emperor, became the Cosmogenesis Crisis, built the Horizon Needle, and Peace'd out.
What I don't understand is why I can't create a colony ship with all the special cybernetic traits after picking your creed, surely you're filing those colony ships with the currently augmented pops, colonise the planet, then build your augmentation centre (or face growing pops without the special creed traits)
I facepalmed hard when I realized that I CAN modify the species, just not the special one that Spiritualist Pops use. On a side note, that feeling when you have a Divine Enforcer Colossus with this origin. They shall have holy fusion!
You ask about the tech speeds... I honestly won't play on anything less than x3, and typically closer to x4. I want every level of tech to mean something, and not have new tech every few months.
I prefer 1x tech cause it felt dumb getting megastructures by 2250. Each new level of tech feels important now (when's the last time getting destroyers or a higher tier of weapon actually felt impactful?)
Getting all the new cool cybernetic authorities is one of the best parts of cybernetic ascention, so imo it sucks that this origin gives you the dullest possible government type instead
Finally I can LARP as the mechanicus. After what? Like a decade?

That'd be Permanent Employment. :-) Though then you have to rationalize branch offices, but that seems doable with the mass-market temple civic.
What you guys think about the ultimate research robot Build?
Civics: Dark Consortium + Technocracy + Meritocracy (Government Reform)
Origin: Remnants
Ethics: Fanatic Materialist + Authoritarian
Traits: Research Assistants + Adaptive Frames + Mass Produced + Engineering/Physics Core + Luxurious + High Bandwidth.
Tradition and Ascension perks: Discovery > Technological Ascendancy > Prosperity > Archaeo-Engineers > Supremacy > Synthetic Age > Modularity (Dark Matter Engines is OP) > Cosmogenesis.
