Hi
Hi!!
Это почти самый лудший ролик который я видел
Somewhere under 1.3 billion tons of water… is my missing AirPod.
your the offical first
The first
why bring airpods over water
Xd
Lol
In the summer of 1977, the lake level was so low that I was able to ride my motorcycle through that town.
Omg
Dude that’s awesome
cool
That’s so cool
I bet u were a child back then
2:45 proof that turning everything on and off again is always the best way to solve a problem
I love how that was our first response before they got there like "did they try the thing or..."
Mark roberk tolong bikin pertarungan robot jadi part 2 😢 siapa yang mendukung pencet tombol yang ada dibawah ini 🥺🙏😭
👇
Yup! When in doubt, power cycle!
Reboot! Haha
Every technician knows that this fixes 90% of the problems lmfao...
This guy be teaching me more than five minutes than the entire school system
As my Organic Chemistry professor always said, "Six hours in the library can save you six months in the lab."
My professor always told me that 6 months in the lab could save 6 hours in the library.
My professor always told me 6 labs in the months could save me 6 library in the hours
My lab always told me that 6 professors could save 6 books in the library
My library always told me that 6 books in the professors could save 6 months in the labs of the hours.
my month always said that "six organic professors in a library can save you six hours in the lab."
i used to live a few miles from Folsom Lake. I remember in like 2012 or 2013 we had a really bad drought and the lake level was low enough that some of the town was visible
Wow, that sounds eerie and fascinating
Dude, I live in Roseville and went down to the lake and found batteries from the 1980's no joke.
I also remember visiting some of the buildings during the 2015/16/17 drought I'm pretty sure
@badcornflakes6374 Hey neighbor! I'm in Rocklin! Fancy seeing a local in these parts. :D
My dad has stories of the same!
Do Lake Lanier next. Has a town at the bottom of the lake called Oscarville. Also known as the cursed lake.
That's not the kind of channel this is. Maybe in like 2 years
I was hoping it'd be lake Lanier! Lots of dead bodies there allegedly 😅
Also lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania. There's the entire town of Wilsonville under there and some of the structures are still standing!
Lake of the ozarks has some too
Let's not touch Lanier😅. We like Mark.
1: THE CITY
2: THE BOAT
3: THE PLANES
4:FAILED DIVE
SO... THATS AN UNLUCKY LAKE
unlucky but lucky altogether
So many people have died at Folsom Lake
Ya
I love how the video doesn't force a "happy" or "successful" ending. Just optimism and a learning mentality. Well done, Mark Rober! Your positivity is contagious!
❤
Your not the main character
@HardPipess???
@HardPipess ur 12
@HardPipesshe wasnt claiming to be? What?
Dude! I didn't know you were looking for stuff underwater. My team does that for Washoe County and surrounding search and rescue efforts with Side Scan aka tow fish, and a remote operated vehicle. We did the deepest recovery in Lake Tahoe at around 1570ft, a couple years ago. You should get in contact with me. :)
ok
That's cool
Are you better than the crew in the video?
That would be very cool
@MarcLloydZ these guys had trouble at 220ft i feel like if they did almost 1600 then its without a doubt possible
For anyone wondering this is folsom lake. A few years ago this lake's water level got so low you could see some of the structures above the water. By structures i mean you can really only make out the foundations of the buildings
Thanks, I was watching and thinking ive been there I know that landmark then had to scan comments to confirm because I thought I was trippin. Grew up on this lake, and some years you can see some pretty neat stuff.
Cool. Thanks!
THANK YOU!
어떻게 하면 저 많은 물이 다 사라지냐 ㅋㅋ
@자유대한민국-k4p
There's another sunken town like this in Alabama and it's also super clear, it's called Smith lake and you can even sometimes see the bottom from a boat.
Nifty
You mean you were looking for a sunken plane from 1965 but ended up with a different plane from 1986?!!
yes
i know its crazy
This lake is basically a wet hanger.
Funnily enough it's not even the first time this exact same thing happened
8:59 "I do my own stunts", peak comedy 😂
Well and knowing Mark I wouldn't be surprised at all if that actually was him just wearing a wig or something
Totally him
If you look closely at that flip you can see his harmor magically change and the form of his body
@Ihavenotslept are you blind lil' bro? stfu
doing your own magically grows your hair
Uh, you without a hat was... jarring haha.
verified?
W
Wdym
@indominus4520he always has his hat on. He doesn't in part of this video.
10:53 editor's got jokes
Yes
I laughed so hard at the music and the backgrounds!!! 😂
Hello
Not finding 4 corpses is a win.
Why?
JOJO refrence?
Would have been a bigger win to find them tbh. The closure for the families after all this time.
Who would want to see dead people
An empty plane is probably better for the G rating than a jump scare of skeletons in the window.
Love what Crunchlab's does because I'm a mail carrier and I've delivered a handful of those boxes, and a couple of times I saw the kids watching in the window, see the crunch box, and get super excited. I always get a thank you from the kids that see me deliver these boxes, awesome job getting children excited about science and engineering!
This is an obvious shill.
Huh? Sounds like you spend too much time on the internet my friend 😂 @Ben-v7e
@Ben-v7e yeah on a yt account that's 12yo and has no other recent comments on his channel😂
@charlesallen2689 theres someone that never ever made a comment on youtube for like 10 years until one video... people dont have to comment lmao
@DeletedDevilDeletedAngelI think he was trying to say that he is likely real and not a shill.
Pls let mark see this
I want you to find Nessie in Loch Ness Lake❤
Former Submariner here and I can attest to the Captain stating that getting a little "sea pressure" on that hatch could have corrected the issue, but that definitely seemed like a "fouled hatch". Glad he aborted the dive! Mark you've joined an elite club! I'm a relatively new fan, but you should consider doing some actual submarine videos if you haven't!
Thank you for ur service from a current Royal Navy Submariner.
@danghj864 Thank you for yours! Fair winds and following seas!
6:30 mark talking about a brutal death of 4 people that are actively decaying inside the lake. The background music “bum da dum bu du dum da da da”.
Lol
Also take a minute to think that he choose to go to the "city" first than to check if there are bodies in that plane...
@wyprutas so many things wrong with this reply 😂
@wyprutas what, do you think he could have saved them?
I would think that the fish took care of that long ago.
They are literaly in seamoth from SUBNAUTICA
That’s what the sea moth is based off
not everything is from subnatical 🙄😒
Yes what about the prawn
That’s what I thought!
@HelloHiHey sybau 😭✌️
There are so many underwater towns I come from Napa valley where lake berryessa is a town that has been submerged underwater. Such a beautiful place.
Earth Scientist here. The reason the water changes color as they get deeper in the lake is because of lake stratification. There’s actually 3 layers of lake, which have long names I don’t feel like typing out. Assuming this was filmed in the summer, the bottom of the lake should be colder than the surface. The mixing of all the layers occurs in Fall and Spring. It’s really interesting.
On another note, I was pleasantly surprised to see bathymetry (measuring of depth in water) broken down so easily for the masses to understand.
Just so you know, there is a TV show called “drain the oceans” where its entire purpose is doing what Mark did in the video. You’re welcome.
I was also thinking of the similar show lost cities with Albert Lin
Really wish we could drain the Pacific, would be amazing to see what's down there
Mountains @Skriggler
@nono-m2v I was going to say, a crap ton of stuff from WW2
i wached that show so much
8:45 having slides on a boat has to be the greatest idea
Yea
20:04 could’ve swore he said unfortunately at first 😂😂
Same omg! I came to the comments to see if I was just tripping or not 😂😂
And fortunately
8:58 he grown his hair for an instant while back flipping 😂
This is a thing that came up every summer during the drought a few years back - the water level in Folsom Lake would recede so far that you could walk out to the lake bottom and check out artifacts from the town
4:33 Why does this look like the Seamoth from Subnautica?
12:55 2015 was a bad drought year, my buddies and I took our Jeeps & Toyotas across the bridge while doing some 4wheeling!
5:40 imagine being the owner of this boat and getting blasted to 71 million people on RUclips 🤣
16:27 this guy belongs on a ferrari pit wall as a driver’s engineer
A little town called Stout is under Horsetooth Reservoir in Fort Collins, Colorado
Loved the vibes of this video... exploration, persistence, discovery!
OceanGate vibe
@rian0xFFF I agree. Very scary
hello, dear hot wheels lovers
Meh, he gives me Mr beast vibes. Like it's all for money yknow. It's pretty obvious.
as a local to folsom during that drought pretty much everyone in town made a trip to see the ruins when the water receded. Cool to see you find in underwater
I live in eldorado hills 3 min drive to the marina what part did you live in? By lake forest and marina or lake view or Jackson
YES! Mark "I worked at NASA" Rober is back!!!!
Did you know he worked at Blizzard?
mark rover
@Gormezzzhe's a first second generation blizzard employee
Reminds me of "Scooby Doo Camp Scare"
somewhere under 1.3 billion tons of water… is my missing $8 😂
17:08 Yeah totally normal alright 😭😭😭 nearly ocean gate all over again
Very scaryy,
Yep. I'll take a massive leak over an implosion any day.
Ocean gate just straight up imploded from pressure. This was just a leak which is way less deadly
They were not very deep at all. "Nearly ocean gate all over again" is a massive overstatement.
Don't worry, that submersible was named Titan. This one is Triton. Totally different.
16:50 👀😭😭😭
dude. folsom lake is just 20 minutes away from my house and i missed you? that's wild
10:07 Me no likey trees 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Fireeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fireeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fireee🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thats awesome mark very creative!
4:24 dude actually has the thing from subnautica
Seamoth?
You should look into Dillon reservoir in Silverthorne, CO
I live in Sacramento. A few years ago, parts of the town (called Mormon island) were exposed a few years ago because the water level had dropped so low.
Same
17:12 was this a just a bit for the end of the video or was this kinda negligent?
Folsom Lake! I live here. It's a great lake to Wakeboard on when it's not packed. Mark, you should have just asked a local though. We all know there's nothing but foundations down there. There's also a sunken bridge in South Fork.
Hey Mark, theres a flooded town in Geist Indiana if you wanna check that out!!
That was so cool. Sometimes it's the things you don't go looking for that are the most interesting.
Glad you're okay. That hatch leak was scary! I am terrified of deep water. Cool video!
6ft is deep?
@panicmosem5969 any water where potentially trapped to drown is scary. In general scared of deep water like the diving down to the bottom of a lake
Mark you should go to lake berryessa in California and look and explore the underground town that was filled with water, that would be a really cool video
i thought this was BerryEssa the monticello dam story is basically the exact same.
They should do this to lake Lanier
why cant my teachers be like mark. Bro makes learning entertaining
"The city was lost to rising waters" understatement of the year
Yeah, kinda interesting that he didn't say anything about the dam until later, feels like an ommision with an agenda.
0:50 the way you can tell it’s Mark….😂
"dapat ga todd"😂😂😂
Thank you for showing us your failures and teaching us wise lessons about that and about the mentality mark
14:43 the way Mark looks like a curious worried kid 😂😅
A video for every not just little kids at long last, it’s been to long. Thank you 🙏🏻
Clarkes Hill Lake in Ga has a similar town that was flooded when the dam was built to prevent flooding in Augusta
14:35 no way, the never located plane, I would have had to dive
The reference to the flooded town in Scooby doo mystery incorporated is elite ball knowledge
That’s not in the show. It’s in the movie Camp Scare. It’s the best Scooby Doo movie.
I remember during the bad drought we had we went to the salmon falls area to mountain bike with my buddy and we were able to walk across the bridge that was amazing for sure.
8:03 😅 I mean I can tell from the video that you are on the wrong side of the lake lol you got to go towards the north and east side near browns ravine
I live close to Norris Lake In East Tennessee and the same thing happened. During the winter you can see a church steeple! Pretty neat!
Mark uncovering water cities wasn't on my mind
That lake is called Folsom lake by the way, and that town was above water about 12 years ago during the drought
I live in eldorado hills what part did you live in
OMG MARK ROBER i love your vids'
bro was playing subnautica IRL
exactly what i thought
bro said "for now" like he's gonna come back every day
0:35 Mark Rober taking over expedition unknown
Was just about to send this to my family to say the same thing
Exactly watch out Josh😂😂😂😂!!!! !!!
Na Josh the goat
Fr Josh is the goat
I know but Josh is better
You uploaded a video that coincides with when I played subnautica.
Water really can break through anything. Terrifying.
Love from India❤😶🌫️😊😊
I honestly really like to see the failures sometimes. Not to prey on defeats, but this is probably very helpful to young learners. Seeing someone extremely knowledgeable fail should be encouraging.
bro made the seamoth
There's an underwater city like this in Lake Marion, SC, supposedly.
7:19 Can they not just refill the air tanks?
2:01 "luck" is an interesting word to use here
Mark unintentionally explained sonar in a way everyone could understand
Somewhere under 1.3 billion tons of water is my missing fish named alfred
日本晴れというTシャツを着てくれてるというだけで、日本人として嬉しく思うよ。
日本を好きでいてくれてありがとう。
No way imagine being one of the people of the unknown
It's never a failure. It's only learning one way something doesn't work.
vro really hopped into a seamoth from subnautica
All fun and games until you hear “leviathan class life-form detected” from your phone
What?
@logicalschizoid_intp9698subnautica reference happens from the maps edge/the void or near the aurora
@logicalschizoid_intp9698 It's a Subnautica reference
6:48 this reminds of the videogame Subnautica.
DO MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS PLEASE
This reminds me of the snowy hydro project in Australia where to make a lake for the generator they flooded the town and everyone moved up the mountain
Customer service “have you tried turning your device off and on?”
Wouldn't that be easier if they just send the cameras first and locate objects then dive into the submarine?
7:44 FOR SUPER EARTH
Wasn't this town in a Scooby Doo episode or something?
Thank you so much for bringing so much joy, adventure and previously unknown info into our world! You are a ray of sunshine in these craziest of times Mark Rober!
9:25 You know what that means, we need... A BRIDGE REVIEWWWW.
I am really impressed by this video of Mark Rober. I really admire you for letting me know things I never knew and really understand the coolness of science and its difficulty.❤
Great Smoky Mountains Fontana Dam has a ghost town of Procter that was flooded as well. They say you can see the roofs sometimes.
