Loved this video ❤ talking about factories and industry work.. once dad left the army and we returned to the uk. We went to live my nanar until dad got a council house and a job delivering coal for the coal board. Myself and my sisters worked in hosiery factories making clothes for M&S. you were paid by how many tickets you collected at the end of the day..each load which usually consisted of about 12 jumpers. Didn’t get paid much But they were happy times. And lots of employment for the school leavers and working mums 😊

To you lovely, lovely couple a very happy anniversary 😘 Looking back to my childhood I feel quite posh! We lived in a through terrace with a bath in the kitchen 🤣 Outside loo in our own yard as well. I love reminiscing about the old days, they were happy times. We might have had nowt, but we knew how to have a good time playing out. There were skipping, whip and top, cow boy and Indians, going to the park and doing bumps on the roundabout... swinging on the swings we had no fear... baling out at the top! Happy Days. About your washing machine Pat, it might need a clean with bicarbonate of Soda, I do mine quite regularly.... and I never over fill, even though it says you can put 10lb load in. I said last week Trevor how great my experience was with Patches…in my case the Dr rang me next day and did me a prescription same day….fantastic service and I think this is the new way now, which I think is great that another avenue has opened for patients to get seen to. Do new people know that all those letter videos are there to watch? I thoroughly enjoyed them, but if I’m honest I don’t think I would watch them read out again, I love the daily chats and reminiscing you do now…but not to repeat the letters every day. That said though if that’s what people want go for it…take care both, see ya tomorrow x

Happy Anniversary Trevor and Pat you Lovely couple were 51 years so you beat us by a few years we were both 19 nearly 20 , we had Been courting from 14 lol off and on , how about this for coïncidence were both twins my twin a girl is twin a girl born with in 6 weeks of each other in same hospital Wakefeild meningates it’s not there anymore , me and my twin was born 24th september and hubby and his twin born 9th november, Well in them days twins were rare and the nurses said to hubbys mum ooooooo a lady had twin girls from this same bed who lives near you and i ended up marrying the boy twin 😂, i love yr stories we had a toilet outside in back yard and got whitewashed unreal them days eh !!
