I think that there could be 2 reasons why some people think your "art isn't improving" when it is. The first is that they watch you regularly. It's hard to notice improvement when you're looking at the art every week. Second, your art style hasn't changed too much in my opinion and when you don't really change art style it can be hard to see improvement too. Pretty much what I'm saying is don't feel discouraged! Your art is beautiful and you should always improve at your own pace. Of course that's easier said than done but just know that just because sometimes it's hard to see improvement it doesn't mean it's not there! Have a nice day ^^
I agree with the first one! Tho, whenever I look at rebeks art (like in “my next door-neighbours” for example, ) I always do see a difference! Her art/art-style will always be beautiful
@@theirlmess Yes her art style has definitely evolved. And I agree that her art style has always been beautiful and will continue to be and there is a difference between them. In my opinion though, you can still tell that the same person drew both the first chapter of My Next Door Neighbours and the most recent chapter. That's kind of what I was trying to say. Have a nice day ^^
Thank you giving reasons that don’t sound to rude or harsh and just giving advice of what they mean by “your not improving” but not sounding rude at the same time!
I think a lot of artists forget that being stagnant in art isn't a bad thing. If anyhting, it means that your consistent in your work! You're still improving in small ways; getting more confident, more faster, better color choices etc :D It deffinetly can feel like being stagnant is a bad thing, since everyone else seems to be making so many big improvements and you're just sitting here, no real big changes. But in reality it's not, I promise.
Thank for watching and for all of the support you give! It means a ton to me!! 💖 Oh also!! I forgot to mention I posted a new chapter of my webcomic today! You can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/Keg6ZWARXq8/видео.html
As said boyfriend. I'd like to say, that I also read a lot of your comments. It's really awesome how supportive you all are, and I'm glad to see Beka has such an amazing community here on RUclips 😁.
Rebekah!! I can say with full confidence that I can see improvement in your art 1000% I think people are strangely fixated on other people having drastic improvement whenever it comes to art and at a rapid pace! I also think when artists become a bit more comfortable with their art process or settle in a "style" the improvement no longer becomes drastic or punchy but rather subtle and slow(which is okay and very normal!!). And there is nothing wrong with that!. Also being stagnant with art or having a lull in your art journey is not something people should equate being a bad thing! Improvements can be small or big, done fast or slow! So I do understand the pressure or why the comments can get to you! But I do hope that you continue to draw because you enjoy what you are making!! Im sure that a lot of us (including myself) find your art beautiful and inspiring! But if you do need to step back and take a break either to get into a better headspace or to rest physically, we will wait for you no matter how long it takes! 😊💕🍀 Also all the drawings in today's video were so lovely to see! I love how you included some traditional art as well! I always love seeing both🍀
On the topic of improvement, your art HAS had a clear line of progression. Your art has gotten visibly more expressive over these past few months, and your digital painting has become more experimental (in a good way). Your art doesn't need a massive style shift to show improvement. You're doing fine. Keep it up :)
Rebekah, no matter where you are in your art journey, know that there are people who admire and your art is amazing! I mean, looking at your webcomic and your art from the beginning of your channel to now, it's a HUGE improvement. Trying to improve is good, but also be proud of it as you go!
Babes, don't feel like you owe ANYONE an explanation! It's YOUR art! And it's gorgeous. You don't have to constantly change your style, it's okay to just be happy with it if you like it how it is. And if you want to improve/change it, that's YOUR decision to make! Your viewers are ofc gonna comment on your art, but they dont get to decide how your art looks. Your real fans are here for you and enjoy your arts in whatever form they take
I'm really shocked that people said that, I actually took a break from watching your videos and then came back, and right away I was amazed at the improvements you had made! Your anatomy has been one of the things that has had huge growth. I would say when it came to my own art growth, studying other artists styles is what helped me improve most. It was fun, helped me see outside the box, and improved my art overall. Doing a study of other artists style would also probably be a really great video! Thank you so much for being an inspiration in my art journey
Don't let bad vibes affect you : art is for you and you only to enjoy in the first place, it's supposed to bring you comfort and happiness ! If you feel like changing, do it, and if you feel like sticking to what you're doing, do it !
Art starts as a hobby and should always be a hobby. If you feel like making it a job, it shouldn’t be the center of your life, it should be a way to stress out
I was more like… oh. I am indeed one of the people who have said her art has not improved and I do stand by that. She has improved coloring, not her general style. Anyways, I’m always respectful with these sorts of comments but, Y’know. You cant stop people from internalizing things. I’ve been following Rebecca for 6 years and to have stopped watching around the 4 year mark and come back 2 years later to the exact same drawings… it feels wrong. I used to watch Rebecca every day as an art newbie and to have surpassed even her is unnerving. I know every artist goes at their own pace and you can’t exactly rush it, but I’d expect change. It feels like she’s eternally trapped in safe-face syndrome no matter how fancy she makes the light
I really DO think you have been improving the past years! When I was looking for screenshots from your comic (for a vid of mine-) I realised that your style has changed lots! :D I am inlove with your style and you have been inspiring me ever since I found your channel! You art is awesome! Don't let the bad comments get to you! They are just jelous ;)
@@Love2DrawManga: I love your videos, I don’t do digital drawing that much because it’s hard for me to draw digitally even if I have a photo reference. Plus your style is amazing, don’t listen to the people who are saying that your art isn’t improving! It is improving just very slowly and I appreciate that especially because your amazing and I love watching your videos their so much! And your voice is so cute! I wish I could draw like that
I hope you are feeling okay. You have improved a lot over time and I can see it, don't beat yourself like that. Your art has helped me a lot and I will always thank you for that!
Honestly I hate when people have this mindset. Your art is your art, no one gets to just suddenly decide "You should improve and be better". You improve on your own time and its okay if you don't improve. The important part of art isn't being the best. Its having fun and creating something beautiful that makes you happy. YOU. Not anyone else. I love your art and its style, and the question of improvement never crossed my mind. Love your art for what it is because you're the only one who can decide its value.
The people who “ don’t think your art is changing “ should just read The Next Door Neighbor’s- Like dude you’ve gotten so much better! I can see the improvements! We love you! Also your art doesn’t need to change styles- it’s so dang pretty ❤
I frankly don’t think any of those “not improving” commenters have any business in saying anything about your art! You are literally giving us the privilege of watching you draw cute, adorable things for free. I’m super grateful for that! Love2DrawManga, I think your art is darling, and your videos so wholesome. That’s something I really appreciate :) and just to echo a lot of other comments here, improvement is often small and incremental anyway, so who’s to say you’re not improving? Thanks so much for being willing to share your art with us and let us enjoy it with you! ❤
I think why ppl thought you “arent improving” is because your artstyle hasn’t really changed, but I think it’s really visible that your art is improving, I’ve been watching you for over a year now and your improvement is really noticeable when I look back on old videos you made compared to newer ones, and especially after seeing the new ep for the webtoon :D don’t let the bad comments get to you Rebekah we love you
The second I saw the thumbnail I truly wanted to reach through the screen and hug you! Your art it’s fantastic and has been such a big inspiration to me over the months and honestly it’s like you are magical because as soon as I started watching your vids months ago, I starting improving with my art Everything you make is immaculate and I hope you get in a better mindset and see it’s amazing! 😊
When I was a beginner artist at 11 years old, I always watched your tutorials and videos. I must say your art is definitely improving!! I just rediscovered your channel, and it's awesome to see the progress you made (and I've made a lot of progress as well). I'm 15 now, and I sell art locally-- I can owe that to all the hours I spent watching your videos, they really got me started on my art journey! Going back to your channel all these years later is amazing. Don't let the haters get you down
Don’t worry too much about your art block. Here’s two pieces of advice that help me when I feel the same way about my art: 1. You will always look at your art and say that something is missing. And that’s alright. You won’t ever be perfect, but you can always try to be close to it. Close to your own perfection. (A quote from *Fernanda Dias Artwork* ) 2. (This ones a bit long) Being stagnate in your current skill level is fine as long as you’re still trying to get better. Consistency isn’t always a problem. If it’s really bothering you, try giving yourself a challenge. Draw/ sketch things that you never have before. Sketch books, digital canvases, or anything else that allows you to express yourself, is also good for testing. Your art doesn’t have to be amazing every single time. If there’s still anything that you’re not good at drawing don’t be afraid to draw it. Your whole life you’ve been perfecting your skills with everything that you create. And a lot of the time, things were messy or came out looking bad. But look at where you are now. The same thing can be applied to whatever it is you’re lacking. Just remember that courage and determination is one of the most essential things that any hobby or career takes.
GIRL a few months ago I was watching and I was like "wow she's SOO good!" and today, I think about that time and I wonder how my old self would react to your art nowadays. it has gotten SOOO detailed and the way you render is beautiful. sometimes I feel like my art has reached its max capacity, but I keep drawing and drawing and drawing. and I might draw for months. and I take my art from months ago compared to my art now, and turns out it looks so much better today! so even if you feel like your art is at max capacity, don't. keep drawing for *ONLY YOURSELF.* if art makes you happy, and you like illustrating how you do, then just keep drawing *that* way.
REBEKAAA I LOVE YOUR ART! You have improved so much in the past years and inspired me to start my art journey and im so grateful for it, words cant explain how proud of you i am, and im 1000% sure everyone else is proud of you
True fans will never pressure you or make you feel like you aren’t improving, because true fans can see how well you’re doing and support you all the way ❤️
Rebekah, improving a lot in art is a good thing but when you spend so much time on it you start disliking it isn’t good so you stepping away from art and focusing on yourself is amazing and I’m proud! ❤️ From watching your channel since 2016, every year your art gets better and better and I see great improvement. And it doesn’t matter how fast. It’s happening and that’s all that matters. Please don’t let those comments pull you down to much! You’re an inspiring person, kind, and an amazing person.💖💖💖
OH MY GOSH YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?? AHHH THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!! you were one of my biggest inspirations when I got into art. I haven't seen as many videos in a while, but hearing this news makes me happy. I hope he makes you feel like the happiest luckiest girl in the world!! :)
I have been following your art for more than a year now and lemme tell you, you have been my first inspiration for drawing. Rebekah, I must tell you how much your art has influenced mine and how much I LOVE your art style. You motivated me to go out there with my art, show it to the world and be happy with whatever progress I make. Thanks to your motivation,I have taken drawing seriously and even got my first commission recently. I can't thank you enough for the way you have shown me how I can make art my career and how I can follow my passion. Thank you for being my support through my art journey, for being my guide and my source of happiness, for teaching me all that I know about art , and for making me choose the right path! Your videos and you in general mean a LOT to me. and I don't know what I would have done without you!. (p.s don't pay too much mind to the hate! The love excels it all!)
Lol after you get to a certain level of comfort with your art style, it's not that you don't improve as much it's that the improvements will likely be more difficult to visibility see. When you're starting off the improvements are huge things that even if you eyes aren't trained yet, you'll notice them. Once you start getting better it'll be more finer details that start to change. Those are often harder to notice
i don’t think you’re improving in art because you are already really good, you are so great at art it is almost impossible to put anymore improvement in, when you do the “putting myself in anime” series you’re art style is so versatile and can change depending on the situation, I look up to you’re art so much and you are so creative. When ever I watch you’re videos I always I feel so happy and more cheered up, Pls never give hope
I really love every time you share a new technique you found/came up with! You’re definitely improving over time. I think it’s less noticeable cause your art is already really amazing. And I’m glad that you’re taking time for yourself
A little late, but Rebekah, I want you to know you have inspired and influenced my art journey. I never found anyone I enjoyed watching more than you. With that said, I hope you remember why you're an artist: it's because you love art. You don't HAVE to improve. Improvement is not a necessity for something you simply love and enjoy to do. I mean, isn't that why you've stepped back a bit from art? To see it less as a burden/job and/ but more of a hobby. Don't listen to what anyone else says about specifics in art. Heck, even I'm not good but isn't that the point? That you love it so much the mistakes you make become lessons instead of faults. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve in your endeavour, but there's also nothing wrong with just turning your brain off and enjoying your passion, right?
As someone who has been watching your channel for years, I believe your art style as improves significantly! It’s gotten much more proportionate and almost more realistic or more of mature in my opinion. I know it’s hard to not let comments get too you, but honestly if they say things like that than they obviously like your art enough to look at it for that long! If you need to see the improvement for yourself I think redrawing old art would really help you, just to show you the good things that stayed and the even better things that left!! I love your attention to detail and lighting nowadays and how beautiful your work is always dazzles me! You’re my biggest inspiration for drawing and have been since I was a kid, never forget how amazing you are
Your art and animation are still unique! Many people wish to draw like you, meaning you have a lovely art style! Your animation is also amazing as well, you're good at both things, whether you think it or not!! If you ever do decide to draw yourself into any shows again, I recommend Big Hero 6! Theres a series of it and you would definitely draw the most amazing thing for it, even if other people didn't agree!!!
been watching bekha since maybe 5 years ago? (uh oh we're getting old) and it's REALLY CLEAR that she's improved. as a kid i thought "no way she can still improve she's already at master level!" and some part of me still thinks this but when you look back at her art even to last year's the difference is always very clear each time even if we dont see it as regular viewers
Bekah, even though you may be discouraged by you "not improving" , take a step back and look at your old art. You've improved so much. And it's okay to feel burnt out and take breaks, that's just life. We're always here for you, and I love your Art style so much!
I'm more of a silent viewer but i think i just have to say that i've been watching you since 2018 or 2019, so about 3 or 4 years now. And i'm so impressed of how much you've improved over the years. Recently i've been watching a lot of your older videos and then seeing your newer ones make me think "Wow she's improved a LOT". I have the same feeling that i'm not improving at art and been feeling down but your video actually helped me understand that it's okay to not be improving in art at a fast pace. And that if you might not be improving at the moment you're gonna be better at art sooner or later. So thank you for being here for the last years and making people smile with your wonderful videos and that wonderful artstyle of yours :D
I never look for major improvement in art because I improve naturally. One day I decide to do something different and my art Improves, but it takes a long time. That's why I hate it when people yell at you for not improving, it happens when the person finds a way and likes the way they've improved naturally, they can't JUST improve.
I feel like you have been improving so much! Your overall knowledge on the art fundamentals such as color theory, anatomy, and perspective really show in your illustrations! I always admired how you could draw fully rendered illustrations in a day or so, when it takes me 2 months LOL. Your illustrations are incredibly detailed and evoke a lot of emotion. I see how you can do backgrounds better and better each year, aswell as improving your work flow and productivity. Your art style is one of the most unique and recognizable art styles that I know, and if somebody showed me an artwork of yourself that I haven't yet seen, I'd know exactly who its from! Don't get discouraged, as you have thousands of people that admire and support your work. Keep going!!!
don't worry what others say. People also used to say my art is bad, but as long as you like it, and enjoy drawing, you gotta keep doing the things you like. And btw, I love your art
I discovered your channel a week or two ago and I've binge watched your videos from the last two years haha. I see you've improved A LOT. The improvement might seem slower for some people and to you, because you are at a point (at least this is how I see it) where you've found your style/styles you are comfortable with and are now "perfecting" it. You've had the fundamentals and more down for a long time so it is only to be expected to "improve slower". For example, do we really see a big improvement for the BIG artists in a year or two? Not really, because the improvement will slow down as we get better and better. Also about the video, I loved it
I think it's kinda sad that some people are equating a consistent art style with a lack of improvement. Like yeah, any changes in style are subtle, but from what I'm seeing and hearing, how you're using helpful tools less often and producing the same quality of work faster, I'd say that's a lot of improvement!
Hi! I don’t know if this will be seen, but I wanted to encourage you by saying that I’ve watched your videos every Saturday for a year and in that year you have most definitely improved. I don’t think I realized myself how much you improved until you hit 700k and redrew your profile picture. The difference in both illustrations is astounding and now when I rewatch old videos of yours I see all the improvement I didn’t notice before because you’ve grown gradually over the past year that I’ve been a fan! So please don’t be discouraged! There’s been noticeable growth and I think you will only continue to grow! :) ❤
I personnally like seeing little changes and improvment in your videos, like how you do the eyes (they were a lot simpler not even so long ago), how you've gotten comfortable in drawing certain things you were struggling with few years ago, and so on. I'm glad you've come to notice that you are in fact improving on the points you mentionned during this video, and that you are feeling better. Take care
I don’t know how people don’t see improvement I definitely see it a lot, it may be because I’ve been doing art for since I was 3 or something, but I can see it changing and improving(in ways like different poses and shading sand coloring styles)
Love how the link drawing turned out, and u ARE improving don't think to much about those who say u haven't, because u definitely are improving and all ur art is amazing!! 😍😍❤
Just want to say that you are the first art youtuber I ever watched and you have helped me soooo much. I'm so happy that you have a boyfriend and also take your time with art, if you need to rest that's ok! Family time is important! So don't worry about improvement just focus on enjoying art :). I actually really like drawing whatever the heck I want videos because you seem happier and relaxed. Now I have finished my speech hehe
You are absolutely amazing. I’ve been watching you for a little over a year and you have most definitely improved. And when you were talking about how you felt burnt out cause you were drawing almost all the time, I felt so much sympathy cause I related to it so much. I had a literal break down last New Years cause I was so tired of art and, like you, I was severely burnt out. I was taking a lot of art classes in school and I was constantly trying to get better to no avail. I was so close to quitting art all together, but I also felt like I was required to do it since I have been taking art more seriously for years now. And honestly, watching you during that time helped. I’m telling you all this so you know you aren’t alone and you know that, even though non artist/artist who don’t take it as you or I do, you’re fellow artists understand your struggle and we 10000000% support you. You are a huge inspiration to me and a lot to other people. Plz don’t feel guilty for taking breaks or taking a couple steps back to improve your own mental health❤❤
I haven't seen any of your videos in a long time so when I started watching some of your video I was amazed at how much better your art has gotten. I also really like the videos you make where you draw yourself into anime scenes.
Haha!😂I found that same link reference that you used after seeing this!!😂😆And I think you improved a lot!Like you got better with body parts! And have a good day!😊
to everyone who think their art isn’t improving: ik this feeling so good and sometimes it will effect me sm I start thinking that my art is actually getting worse, and I’m here to say that’s not it, just like any other talent, as long as u put effort on it u will improve ,but improving doesnt always happen quickly, and that’s okay we all need time and there’s so much things to learn, i see every small step the differs from ur usual drawing process is an improvement , please don’t rush it and force yourself to improve, it will only lead to a downfall, i would love to say that u have inspired me personally and I honestly do take a lot of art advices from u Rebekah , and ur art is honestly so satisfying to see and looking back at where u started to where u are now is enough of improvement, I’ll honestly love to see how far ahead u can go , u have went from making anime eye tutorials on RUclips, to making a manga, a novel, and more! This is just a message I wanted to put out there cause I really do adore ur art and style so keep up the hard work and don’t push ur limits❤
Thank you, your art is amazing, and for the last 3 1/2 years I've been watching your videos seeing someone who I am learning from have the same struggles and grow with them is so inspiring. It encourages me to keep going so much so that I am constantly sharing your videos with my friends. All in all, you are amazing, and please never give up, take time for yourself, and don't listen to what does not help you.
I felt like I'm not improving at all. I think it's because it's difficult for me to draw in a style outside of anime. I tried looking at other artists works to gain inspiration, but I dunno? There's nothing much that stood out? It's mostly how people colored then outline. This video made me more motivated to get out of my comfort zone, though ^^ it's when you were talking about doing smaller rougher sketches so you wouldn't be so scared messing it up. This part feels like great advice for perfectionists
Here's a tip (sorry if somebody has already suggested this) Grab your favorite piece (or least favorite!) drawing that you have done in the past year. Then, go find some of your REALLY old art. Look at that and maybe you'll see you really have improved :)
I can't tell you how much it makes my heart glad, to hear how you /have/ grown. Oh my word, have you grown! Putting art as a servant instead of a master BRILLIANT! Putting your life ahead of your passion PHENOMENAL. Recognizing burn-out and doing things proactive to SLAY it AMAZING!!!!! Just looking at the art that is what you put on paper, I would say the growth there I've seen is the way that your breaking the canvas both in the comic and single sketches. Also you've been really pushing yourself more and more with the negative space, I've noticed. Thanks for being so transparent with your struggles. That's incredibly courageous of you, and very much appreciated.
Hey dude, don’t be afraid to vent on your channel. It’s yours and you get to do whatever because you are your own boss! It also helps us connect with you better because we share similar struggles. I’m only 15 so I’m not an expert on emotions, but I do know that this place is safe for you to vent. Have a good day.
rebekah your art is wonderful!! don’t feel like you need to change for anyone, especially not the negativity. i’ve been watching your videos for a while, like since 6th grade and now i’m a junior in high school?? you’ve improved so much and even you kickstarted my art journey (and likely many others) and continue to inspire me every time you post! man and now you have a boyfriend, which i’m super happy about and i’m glad he makes you happy! i remember back in i think your first face reveal video that was a subscriber special i asked about your relationship status and you said your boyfriend was link LOLL! maybe you can get your new boyfriend to cosplay him 👀👀
It's ok to feel kinda stuck in art sometime, it's more of a phase and it'll go away!! Plus you're art IS improving and it's getting better and better!! You're drawings are so good I love the link one so much ❤🧁🍬
Your art is so amazing if you saw my art about 5 months ago it looks like a simple version of yours :) you are improving!! The first video I watched from you was when you made a gacha oc (the bunny one) and you’ve improved so much!!!
Your art style is very beautiful and I think you’ve improved more than a lot. When I look at drawings from not to long ago, I can see how much you actually improved. The people telling you they didn’t just aren’t comparing and looking at the details. U have come a very long way and I love your videos. I’m only at the start of this video so far and drawing is for fun, not to worry about what others think. You don’t have to improve to be good. You are amazing. And I think most of them mean that u are good but that they haven’t seen improvement or a change. But I’ve seen many. So we all think your a pro! I love ur style and u give me so much inspiration. Stay strong and don’t let those comments get into your head
I wish u and your boyfriend good luck.Even tho I completely changed my art style I'm still grateful of you and things u taught me(hope u'll soon feel better abt yourself)
I think that the people who commented that didn't realize the difference between a time period where your style doesn't change much and art improvement. You have, without a doubt, Improved. I've watched your video's for quite some time now and you can tell that you've improved exponentially in poses, anatomy, lighting and perspective. Those are all art principles that you've been able to master. The thing that I think people reffered to in the mean comments is that your style has changed little to none. Is that a negative? NO! There will always be changes in your style over time and sometimes the changes are so little that they aren't very noticeable. Doesn't mean you haven't improved, it just means that you are content with the style you have in that time period or haven't discovered new things in other people's style which inspire you. So in conclusion, the comments were wrong and hopefully this can assure you that you have improved. I hope that this comment helped and to anyone else besides Rebekah who's reading this, I hope that you 2 have been assured of this. We're all on a different art journey and on a different part of it, so trust in yourself that you can improve and already have. You're not alone in this, so don't be so hard on yourself for going through what we will all go/have all gone through. Have a good day/night guys and know that you're free to share your view on this under this comment
I started watching you about a year ago, when I struggled drawing people. You gave me someone to look up to, to keep me motivated to do better your tips have really helped me, and your style is amazing. I still think these things to this day, and it’s because of you that I don’t give up, that I keep trying, back then I felt like I couldn’t improve from the terrible artwork that I was creating. But, you helped me realize I was wrong. I watch you every day and you put a smile on my face. Never give up.
It's funny, because often people don't really see when someone's improving. It's tiny tiny steps someone takes, it's just a little bit with every video. And then you look at the video from 5 month ago and you're blown away of how muve improved over that time span. Maybe you didn't improve in shading, but you could've improve in sketching and lineart. It's a long process, but it's worth it. 😌
omg bekah dont listen to the people who try to put you down!!! your art is wonderful and so many people love it and feel inspired just looking at it!! Don't worry about not always improving!! It's normal to feel burnt out sometimes, and to take a break to take care of yourself!! your health is what's more important!! 💕💕
I totally think your art is improving I a lot of the times watch your videos for motivation as I'm working on an animatic, and the change in style is so cool and you can easily tell that you are improving so please try not to get discouraged with your art as it is amazing
You’ve always inspired me and my art after I came across your videos about a year ago, and from my standpoint you have improved so much! Your art tips are so helpful and I am a better artist because of you. I think everyone feels like they are making no progress in their art journeys when often the progress is simply overlooked and mistakes are focused on. I think you are an incredible artist and you are definitely getting better with each video. Keep up the good work!! 💕
To me Personally it doesn’t matter if your art isn’t Improving to others eyes, what matters is that you’re having fun with what you’re drawing’s. It’s your art, don’t mind those people if they’re hurting your feelings. Just ignore, and enjoy your art and your time with it. By the way I hope your wrist feels better!
Your art does improve! Art improve slowly and you don’t notice, but look at your art now and your art a month ago! If you think about it you’ll see that it’s changed. I know you see some bad things and I think it’s affecting you because you get a LOT of support! Make sure to look on the bright side too!
To be honest, I haven't watched your videos for almost six months, and now that I've seen a little bit of this video, I can honestly say that you've improved (I can say that the poses you draw have become more precise and energetic) Anyway, I hope you keep doing what you're doing because I love your drawing and your personality ❤ and btw i would really like to keep up with your videos as soon as i finsh my exams🤭
i’m just going to say something, you started my passion for drawing seriously. i have improved so much because of your positive attitude and seeing all of your art. i am so thankful for your channel and what it has made me become
I don’t feel like she needs to improve if she doesn’t want to, if she does great!,but if she doesn’t and likes her art the way it is and does not feel like she has to improve everyday that’s fine, don’t force her to improve when she isn’t ready to improve her art because it’s fine to not improve everyday so please don’t forced her to improve thank you for reading❤
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that we love your art so much. Whether you draw a beautiful character, or a quick little derpy chibi, you always make it look wonderful. Your true fans will love you whether you draw a character they know, or don't know. They'll love you when you improve, or go through art block. We care about you no matter your art journey. Have fun with your art, and know, we'll be here for you no matter what you choose to do :]
@@Love2DrawManga Of course! Your channel means a lot to me, I've been watching your content for years, and I'd hate to see you stop because of some weird haters :']
I have been watching since almost the beginning and you have definitely improved. When I was watching your videos 4ish years ago, I was in a place where I was just getting started with my art and i wasnt happy with anything i did, and when I looked at your art, it was like looking at a masterpiece. Somehow, as the years have gone by, you continue to top yourself and I continue to be amazed and inspired by what you do. Please don't let those comments get to you. God has blessed you with an incredible gift and you should be proud of it. ♥️
Can’t improve if your already great Also in my opinion you are improving, your trying new techniques and mediums. You can’t improve without experimentation and I thinks that’s exactly what you’re doing. Art should be something that you enjoy doing.
Your art has improved a lot sense I first started watching you, it is good to take a once in awhile break, I found that my art looks better when I take breaks from it. every art style is unique in their own way! I don't usually comment one videos but I felt the need to comment.
Hey don't listen to those comments- you are improving! Your stylization may not have had the most dramatic of changes but the coloring and the anatomy has come a LLLONG WAY since like 2010 ish (I'm guessing that's when your digital art journey started, I think there was a video when you drew some old art) your doing good don't worry LD2M
Hi Rebekah! I rarely comment on videos but I felt like i wanted to say something this week You're honestly one of my biggest inspirations in art and everytime I'm in an art slump, I always watch your videos and they make me feel so motivated to try and not give up. Improvement wise, I've seen so much when i rewatch your old videos!!! The difference between a video you made around 2021 and a video made late this year can really show u the improvement! I hope you don't let these comments get to you, and just know you should be proud of how consistent your art style is, and how much you've improved through the years!
Rebekah there will always be negative feedback in life, u just need to remember that they don’t matter and that shouldn’t stop u from having an original art style 😊❤❤❤ besides, we’ve been supporting u for so long! and u like drawing right? Well continue it in whatever way u want! True subscribers, support u in whatever state u r 😊😊😊😊
I've been following you for years and I really believe that your art has improved! You experimented in many different videos and each time you added something new or rolled with it, there is a difference and improvement I've noticed! Your shading and highlighting styles were some of the parts that went through huge changes, really! The thing that seems "not improving" was the comfort-zone poses and that's a pardonable thing! Everyone gets busy and maintaining an account while being busy takes a lot, so sticking with your comfort zone in art is another way of maintaining skills!
Queen, if sometimes you see no improvement, ITS CAUSE U REACHED THE LIMIT!!!! U CANT DO BETTER THAN YOU ALREADY DO, CAUSE YOURE A GENIUS AT ART!!! You shouldn’t be afraid of no improvement, we don’t always need to improve, sometimes we just gotta do good, cause there’s a limit! You reached that limit and you’re an amazing and VERY smart artist, I guess I can call you master. You’re my master after all! I’m learning from you! Keep that in mind, you’re amazing🫶🫶💞💞✨✨
i hope you get over that feeling, ang please do remember that theres no need to rush your self and presuring yourself, youre still improving, just a bit slower, but thats okay! Art is about having fun right? we all just want you to have fun cause thats what we all like in your videos, we like it when you tell us what you feel if your sad, happy and more. I dont think we all want the person that inspired us to feel preasured and sad. Always remember your life outside youtube and art! we will always be waiting for another video, even if you dont post that often anymore we will be fine and will be patient and calm, since we will be thinking about you having fun. Idk if this helped it probably wont- just plesse dont forget about yourself and your life outside Art and youtube. ʕ´• ᴥ•̥`ʔ
I love all of the art you made for this video😍! It was so relaxing and fun to watch 😌. Also I can't understand why people don't see that you're improving, I've been watching your videos for years now and I think it's realy noticeable how you much you've grown as an artist:)! It is also very sweet how you keep not wanting to burn out yourself and ruin your relationship with art, since it's something you love:)
Hello! I just wanted to talk about how much I love your art! I've been watching your videos for about two years, and there has been so much improvement! You were really good back then, and you're still really good right now! I've admired your art for so long, and I'm so happy you're continuing to have fun with your art. In summary, your art is amazing! Even if you might not notice the improvement, it's definitely there! We all improve at different rates, and it's really difficult to notice sometimes. I really hope you continue to have fun with art, and I hope you have an amazing my morning/afternoon/night!
As long as you're happy with your art, and what you have created that's all that matters. Your art is nice, and beautiful to look at. If it looks the same ten years from now that doesn't matter. It'll still be beautiful and something that makes you happy when you look at it.
I honestly rlly loved this video. The art is *chef’s kiss* (my fav is the link drawing) and i just find it encouraging when i talk abt heartfelt topics like this cuz it helps us artists know that we aren’t alone in our struggles
First of all: your OC fashion sketches may be one of the most precious things you've done. Love the final results! As for the topic... You've been improving a lot. Your poses are more daring. Your coloring/rendering keeps becoming more vibrant and rich. I'm constantly impressed by your animation skills as well. And even if that improvement has slowed down... Is that really a bad thing? You're a very consistent artist (and editor?) who manages to keep a youtube channel and a webcomic going with pretty good quality. I don't think I've ever had a bad time with your videos. Your speed going up over time is fantastic news! Congratulate yourself, you deserve it! Just know that, sadly, these types of wonderful improvements won't show much on camera. And know that a lot of people don't understand that. All people care about is a final product that will wow them more and more; and faster. That is more of a 'we live in a society' situation, and not your fault. Art takes time, takes effort, and sometimes even regresses a bit. But then it comes back stronger and more beautiful than before! I'd also like to mention, that professional artists don't necessarily improve faster. I feel that the further up you go, the longer it takes. Because as a begginer you're learning all of these cool things you've never heard about before. As an intermediate/pro you're refining all these cool stuff you've heard 20x before and trying to unlearn the things you THOUGHT you knew. Plus all of the stress, self-doubt, pressure, deadlines... It's though. I'd say take a look at your favorite artists. If you notice, a lot will do same-y things for years; or even simplify their stuff to meet demands (specially if their main income comes from social media). And yes, they all get flak for it. But that doesn't mean they're doing anything bad or wrong. If anything, they're the ones winning in this situation: they can pay their bills doing what they love while still having time for their loved ones and their hobbies. That is wonderful. And that is what i wish for you. Sorry for the wall of text´´ Just yeah, thank you very much for your videos!! They always cheer me up when i'm doubting myself LOL"" So hope this can give back to you a bit!
I've been following you for years now and have learned so many new things that I didn't know about before. You're a success in what you do and that's inspiring. No one else is the judge of that. The fact you put your art out there for everyone to see is brave in and of itself. You put in so much hard work to your art, your channel, your audience, and I'm sure your family also. It's a full-time job. And as far as, "is your art improving?" Well, just do a re-draw from something you did years ago and there you'll have your answer. Artists are always growing 😉
Have a nice day ^^
THIS IS SO TRUEEE
I agree with the first one! Tho, whenever I look at rebeks art (like in “my next door-neighbours” for example, ) I always do see a difference! Her art/art-style will always be beautiful
@@theirlmess Yes her art style has definitely evolved. And I agree that her art style has always been beautiful and will continue to be and there is a difference between them. In my opinion though, you can still tell that the same person drew both the first chapter of My Next Door Neighbours and the most recent chapter. That's kind of what I was trying to say. Have a nice day ^^
@@Zuza.t I agree! That’s kinda what I was tryna get across but I didn’t know how to word it. :)
You have a nice rest of your day too!
Oh also!! I forgot to mention I posted a new chapter of my webcomic today! You can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/Keg6ZWARXq8/видео.html
ofc!!!
No problem! I hope you’re okay!
💖
Your art is amazing! I hope someday I'll be as good as you.
we are all here for ya, try not to listen to all the naysayers
Also all the drawings in today's video were so lovely to see! I love how you included some traditional art as well! I always love seeing both🍀
Aww! Thank you so very much Rin. That means a lot to me! 😭💖💕
That's a lot of words-
my favorite artists supporting each other we love to see it😭
On the topic of improvement, your art HAS had a clear line of progression. Your art has gotten visibly more expressive over these past few months, and your digital painting has become more experimental (in a good way). Your art doesn't need a massive style shift to show improvement. You're doing fine. Keep it up :)
Thank you so very much!! 💖💕

"Your art doesn't need a massive style shift to show improvement" is so true

Rebekah, no matter where you are in your art journey, know that there are people who admire and your art is amazing! I mean, looking at your webcomic and your art from the beginning of your channel to now, it's a HUGE improvement.
Trying to improve is good, but also be proud of it as you go!
Aw! Thank you very much! That's good advice!
@@armyx7948 OMG UR IN FOR A TREAT YES SHE DOESS ITS ON ANOTHER CHANNEL NOW, ITS CALLED MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS
2 minutes in when you mentioned Exploding Kittens I freaked out. I was like, “OMG! I just played that game with my brother 10 minutes ago!”
@@armyx7948 Are you new to this channel or something?
Even though there’s always room for improvement, it’s not always necessary. Rebekah’s art it’s amazing as it is right now!
Wow thank you!! I'm happy my work has been an inspiration!
It seems way less stiff imo
Don't let bad vibes affect you : art is for you and you only to enjoy in the first place, it's supposed to bring you comfort and happiness ! If you feel like changing, do it, and if you feel like sticking to what you're doing, do it !
Art starts as a hobby and should always be a hobby. If you feel like making it a job, it shouldn’t be the center of your life, it should be a way to stress out
As I first saw the thumbnail my mind was immediately like "OMAYGHAD ARE YOU OK REBAKAH?"
SAME OMG WE MUST PROTECC OUR QUEEN
YES YESS. I ALSO SURPRISED WITH THE THUMBNAIL :(((
Same- I was like ‘’ GORL- Who hurt my queen
I am ready to attack. If you think otherwise, I am prepared to beat your butt ‘’
Same here this popped up and I was like: “OMG IS SHE OKAY?!”
Thank you very much! I'm happy you see improvement!!
I wish I could draw like that
I LOVE UR ART STYLE! UR PRECIOUS AND DESERVE ALL THE HAPPINESS OF THE WORLD 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Aww, thank you so much! Yes, I have...probably to many times. Haha!
I hope you are feeling okay. You have improved a lot over time and I can see it, don't beat yourself like that. Your art has helped me a lot and I will always thank you for that!
Thank you so much!!
I can really agree, she has a really good artstyle
Honestly I hate when people have this mindset. Your art is your art, no one gets to just suddenly decide "You should improve and be better". You improve on your own time and its okay if you don't improve. The important part of art isn't being the best. Its having fun and creating something beautiful that makes you happy. YOU. Not anyone else. I love your art and its style, and the question of improvement never crossed my mind. Love your art for what it is because you're the only one who can decide its value.
The people who “ don’t think your art is changing “ should just read The Next Door Neighbor’s-
Like dude you’ve gotten so much better!
Your art it’s fantastic and has been such a big inspiration to me over the months and honestly it’s like you are magical because as soon as I started watching your vids months ago, I starting improving with my art
Everything you make is immaculate and I hope you get in a better mindset and see it’s amazing! 😊
Aww, thank you so much!!
Here’s two pieces of advice that help me when I feel the same way about my art:
1. You will always look at your art and say that something is missing. And that’s alright. You won’t ever be perfect, but you can always try to be close to it. Close to your own perfection. (A quote from *Fernanda Dias Artwork* )
You have improved so much in the past years and inspired me to start my art journey and im so grateful for it, words cant explain how proud of you i am, and im 1000% sure everyone else is proud of you
Awww! Thank you! 🥺💕
Aww!! Thank you so much!! 🥺💖
@@Love2DrawManga Thank You!😭
Lol after you get to a certain level of comfort with your art style, it's not that you don't improve as much it's that the improvements will likely be more difficult to visibility see.
Also about the video, I loved it
Thank you so very much!! I'm happy you enjoy these kinds of videos. ^u^
I think it's kinda sad that some people are equating a consistent art style with a lack of improvement. Like yeah, any changes in style are subtle, but from what I'm seeing and hearing, how you're using helpful tools less often and producing the same quality of work faster, I'd say that's a lot of improvement!
THIS ^^^^^
Aw thank you so much!!
Aww!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much and I'm happy my videos were able to help.
@@Love2DrawManga ofc!!
I haven't seen any of your videos in a long time so when I started watching some of your video I was amazed at how much better your art has gotten.
I also really like the videos you make where you draw yourself into anime scenes.
Hey.. I hope you're okay. You're the nicest artist I've ever been subscribed on and I am sad that you're feeling this way. I hope you get better..!
Thank you!! 💕
You have ALWAYS been Improving and you WILL improve further
Either way we all LOVE your art
I felt like I'm not improving at all. I think it's because it's difficult for me to draw in a style outside of anime.
I tried looking at other artists works to gain inspiration, but I dunno? There's nothing much that stood out? It's mostly how people colored then outline.
This video made me more motivated to get out of my comfort zone, though ^^ it's when you were talking about doing smaller rougher sketches so you wouldn't be so scared messing it up. This part feels like great advice for perfectionists
Here's a tip (sorry if somebody has already suggested this)
Grab your favorite piece (or least favorite!) drawing that you have done in the past year. Then, go find some of your REALLY old art. Look at that and maybe you'll see you really have improved :)
Gonna do this myself.
Have a good day.
rebekah your art is wonderful!! don’t feel like you need to change for anyone, especially not the negativity. i’ve been watching your videos for a while, like since 6th grade and now i’m a junior in high school?? you’ve improved so much and even you kickstarted my art journey (and likely many others) and continue to inspire me every time you post! man and now you have a boyfriend, which i’m super happy about and i’m glad he makes you happy! i remember back in i think your first face reveal video that was a subscriber special i asked about your relationship status and you said your boyfriend was link LOLL! maybe you can get your new boyfriend to cosplay him 👀👀
At first when she said boyfriends i thought she meant Link BUT THIS IS A REAL BOYFRIENDS ???!!! IM SO HAPPY FOR HERRR❤❤❤
Aww, thank you very much!! 💖
I’m sorry this is happening! I hope you feel better❤️
Thank you!
@@Love2DrawManga Monkay says your welcome!
Make sure to look on the bright side too!
just tell those comments to watch that video of your old art. you have improved so much! you are a great artist!
To be honest, I haven't watched your videos for almost six months, and now that I've seen a little bit of this video, I can honestly say that you've improved (I can say that the poses you draw have become more precise and energetic)
Anyway, I hope you keep doing what you're doing because I love your drawing and your personality ❤
and btw i would really like to keep up with your videos as soon as i finsh my exams🤭
Same ❤
Wow, thank you!! 💖💕
i’m just going to say something, you started my passion for drawing seriously. i have improved so much because of your positive attitude and seeing all of your art. i am so thankful for your channel and what it has made me become
I think your are improving Rebekah you can draw whatever you want you did improve your art from the beginning of your channel❤😊
Aww! 🥺 Thank you so very much, that means a lot to me! 💖
@@Love2DrawManga Of course! Your channel means a lot to me, I've been watching your content for years, and I'd hate to see you stop because of some weird haters :']
U are improving
I saw some of ur older videos & have seen so much improvement
Yes, I agree!
Can’t improve if your already great
Also in my opinion you are improving, your trying new techniques and mediums.
Thank you!!!
Hi Rebekah!
I rarely comment on videos but I felt like i wanted to say something this week
You're honestly one of my biggest inspirations in art and everytime I'm in an art slump, I always watch your videos and they make me feel so motivated to try and not give up.
Your a very talented artist , your videos motivate me and help me keep drawing ❤
Idk if this helped it probably wont-
just plesse dont forget about yourself and your life outside Art and youtube.
I'm so sorry you get negative feedback! Stay strong, we love you!!!!! I love your art!
Hii!!
You din't watch it-
It just started

You: people have been saying that my art doesn't seem to be improving
Me: (┛°Д°)┛彡┻━┻ (ง •̀_•́)ง who?
gurl same
Haha. 😆
As long as you're happy with your art, and what you have created that's all that matters. Your art is nice, and beautiful to look at. If it looks the same ten years from now that doesn't matter. It'll still be beautiful and something that makes you happy when you look at it.
Tbh youre really skilled BUT not in anime i think.
0:30 OMG these guide lines I have never seen before. Thanks, I will try it in my drawing.
