Life will get better. It will suck for a while, you'll even get a couple of kicks in the teeth, it might mellow out for a bit and then go back to sucking. But it will get better. As you get older, you begin to see the hard times in your youth as basic training for the hard times coming in life. As it must and will for everyone, the bad times will arrive. I think this is a good thing overall. It forces a person to really appreciate the good things in life and to cherish the good times. And it trains a person to deal with the hard times. When the times are good, try not to get depressed thinking that eventually things are going to get bad. Just enjoy the times and in the back of your mind remind yourself to enjoy it while it lasts.

I think this is a good thing overall. It forces a person to really appreciate the good things in life and to cherish the good times. And it trains a person to deal with the hard times.
When the times are good, try not to get depressed thinking that eventually things are going to get bad. Just enjoy the times and in the back of your mind remind yourself to enjoy it while it lasts.
I don't mean to prattle on, but another thing occurred to me. If you ever find that your soul is in turmoil (and you know what I mean if it's happened to you), I strongly suggest that you read the Saints.
