  • Nutritional testing of the feeds we grow is an important step to making sure all the animals are getting the right food every day. After all, just like the foods you eat, everything has different levels of protein, fibre, sugar, etc. But testing, we can then make the right mix of all the ingredients to get the healthiest and most balanced feeds. That's really the job of our herd's nutritionist, but in this episode I at least do the job of collecting the samples so he can make the best decisions on the best data.
Then, even though barn construction is done, we still have a lot of little projects to finish up. This time, we focus on the office with cupboard backing, new chairs and more.
And finally - the kids make another appearance. After all, they are making their own videos so we might as well start including some of them in the latest episodes of Cow Palace!

How did you do when you started with robots? Lely told us to divide our 97 cows into two groups. Then push group after group constantly for next three days before they were set free. Curius if it's the same taktik in diffrent countries.

Yes that is the same way we did it. We pushed every cow through from the two groups three times a day for a week, then put them in one group and kept pushing a few more days before switching to fetching.

@@FreshAirFarmer we start fetching day 4 and now 5 week later we have about 10 cow that doesn't go by themselves even after 15-20 hours but they have no problem going in the robot. Most of they are close to dry off and old ladies 😅
Change from silicone to rubber cups day 5 and every cow works in the new system👍Went from parlour
