I’m in zone 9…. I have always planted my sweet peas at the end of this month. Then I have flowers as early as December. So I’m excited to plant other items.
I’m in zone 6a. I want to go ahead and plant my snow peas but the label says they won’t germinate until it gets cooler. Any tricks to get them to germinate now? My first date is Oct 15
Peas can be started indoors if you want. But I haven't had peas give me any trouble germinating in hot soil like other cool weather crops. I haven't grown snow peas, but snap peas do just fine.
Garlic is easy unless you have allium specific pests like root maggots or leaf miners 😭 it happens no matter which allium I grow. I guess I’ll have to stop growing for some time. Do you know how to tell the difference?
@@thebeginnersgarden oh you would know. Maggots when you crack open a garlic clove and inside onions as well. So nasty. I seem to be blessed with every pest possible in my area, which new ones each year. I just don’t get it 😭🤷♀️

I've never had those pests, as far as I know.
